Chapter 936: Chapter 524: No Matter How Deeply Hidden, It Can Be Found!

"Boss, what’s wrong?" Elijah Hastings asked in a low voice, "Is there a problem?"

"That monk." Sean Knight pointed to the monk holding the yellow cloth box and said, "Look at his clothes. Do you notice anything wrong?"

Elijah Hastings looked closely, and his eyes lit up:

"He’s wearing other clothes underneath his cassock, it’s bulging. Something’s wrong!"

"Right." Sean Knight nodded in approval. "You see, all the other monks look normal, it’s just him—we’ll just keep an eye on him later!"

Actually, Sean Knight was also biased. He was convinced that the ashes in that monk’s box were those of the seven stolen war criminals. As for the extra one, it was hard to say whose it was.

After sending off the other monks with the wooden box, the monk left as well.

Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings immediately followed him—much to their surprise, they found the monk was heading out!

Could it be that the items from the Xingya Avalokitesvara Temple were not really in the Xing Chan Temple?

Once the monk stepped out of the temple gate, Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings saw that there were actually two people waiting outside to greet the monk.

The monk handed the box he was holding to one of the men in black, then swiftly took off his cassock, revealing the suit he wore underneath.

The three of them, guarding the box, walked down the mountain and entered an inn at the Mountain Foot.

"It looks like they won’t leave until tomorrow." Since the inn wasn’t far from the one where Sean Knight and his party were staying, he said to Elijah Hastings, "They might leave early tomorrow morning. We’ll just follow them then."

"I’ll keep watch outside," Elijah Hastings said. "Just in case they leave early, and we don’t know."

"Alright, you keep watch. Call me immediately if anything happens."

Elijah Hastings nodded, and Sean Knight left.

However, Elijah Hastings noticed that Sean Knight did not head towards their inn, but towards the Xing Chan Temple instead.

Could the boss be planning something else?

Indeed, Sean Knight had something in mind.

Now that he was sure the ashes belonged to the seven war criminals, Sean Knight would not let those monks who performed the rituals for them off the hook.

These guys, all accomplices! Sean Knight didn’t believe for a second that they didn’t know whose ashes they were dealing with!

He quietly returned to Xing Chan Temple and found that it had quieted down. Although there were still candles burning in the main hall with the Buddha Statues, there was no one around anymore.

Sean Knight sneaked into the monks’ quarters and found that they too had already retired for the night.

But with Sean Knight’s current memory, he hadn’t forgotten a single one of the monks he had seen earlier.

First, he went into a Small Building, "borrowed" a cassock to wear, and then slowly altered his Facial shape to resemble a Senior Monk. Hesitant to part with his hair, he found a monk’s hat to wear. That should be enough to pass undetected, right?

After looking himself up and down, finding no problems, he entered the monks’ Dormitory.

The monks who could perform the rituals for the war criminals in the main hall were not of low rank, at the very least they stayed in rooms for two. So, Sean Knight had no trouble finding them. After finding them, he sprinkled some powder at their noses and then began whispering to them.

He needed to ensure these guys would at least have nightmares every day. For the stronger ones, upon waking, they’d nearly be imbeciles. At least the scriptures they had learned would be erased by the subconscious commands now imprinted.

If he weren’t worried about making too much of an impact, Sean Knight would even want to turn each of these monks into a vegetative state!

Dozens of monks, one by one, fell under his "hypnosis." Feeling he might as well be thorough now that he started, Sean Knight went into the singular houses and packed all the Jade Buddhas, Golden Buddhas, and Buddhist implements into his spatial realm.

If he weren’t planning on following those three guys to find the lair of Xingya Avalokitesvara Temple tomorrow, Sean Knight would have even considered burning down the Scripture Repository.

Openly prostitutes, secretly accomplices—could such a place still be called Xing Chan Temple? The Zen Ancestor would turn in his grave, wouldn’t he?

Leaving Xing Chan Temple with mixed feelings, Sean Knight saw the Fish Belly White of the Eastern Horizon.

When he got back to the inn, he found that the boss had not yet woken up, and Elijah Hastings had not sent any signals. Sean Knight went back to his Room to rest for a bit.

It was Real brief, not more than thirty minutes, before Elijah Hastings made a phone call:

"Boss, those people are getting ready to leave!"

"Alright, wait for me; I’ll be right there!" Sean Knight said as he immediately left the room. He sent a message to Emily Kelley, telling her to check out after she woke up, as they were leaving first.

Sean Knight was messaging as he walked out. As soon as he got outside the entrance, Emily Kelley appeared, calling out:

"Mr. Knight, wait for me!"

Seeing Emily Kelley in the same wrinkled clothes as yesterday, Sean Knight guessed she must have slept in them all night.

"Okay, since you’re awake, come with us. We’ll talk in the car!"

Both got into the car and drove to the place where Elijah Hastings was hiding. Upon Elijah’s arrival in the car, he pointed down a Road and said:

"They drove that way, just left less than three minutes ago."

Emily Kelley floored the gas pedal and immediately gave chase!

"We went to check out Xing Chan Temple Last Night and noticed some problems. The three men in black driving ahead could be from Xingya Avalokitesvara Temple. If we follow them, we might find something."

Emily Kelley increased her speed again, and within a few minutes, they caught sight of a black Sedan driving ahead.
