Chapter 697: Chapter 441: The Bottom of the Temple_3

"Split up and search quickly!" Sean Knight said, "Be careful, signal if there’s any situation!"

This temple was quite large, but no outsiders had come in, so Sean Knight boldly made the decision.

He walked to the right and saw a door.

Elijah Hastings, following Sean Knight, saw him stop and said:

"Boss, you stay here, I’ll go check the next door."

Sean Knight scanned with his Sky Eye, and he couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

This place was the temple’s warehouse.

There were more than a dozen boxes in the warehouse, filled with golden coins, silver coins, gold bars, gemstones...

Sean Knight was doubtful, wondering how all these things were collected on this seemingly barren land?

Sean Knight twisted open the lock and pushed open the door.

Once inside, he collected all the boxes one by one into the spatial realm.

Now was not the time to count.

Collecting things was the priority!

Coming out of this door, he walked a few steps forward and found Elijah coming out of another door.

"This is a dormitory, everything inside has rotted."

Sean Knight was surprised, as he thought Elijah had entered another warehouse.

It seemed that his luck was as good as ever!

The circular hallway eventually led back to the starting point.

Besides the first warehouse Sean Knight found, there was another one.

However, the inside was filled with animal skins and various pieces of cloth, all of which had rotted away.

There was not much valuable items left in the remaining dormitories.

They found a secret door to continue upstairs.

Behind this door were stairs, but instead of a wooden door at the end of the stairs, there was a stone door disguised as a brick wall.

The stone door was operated by a mechanism, and they quickly found the mechanism to open it from the inside.

When they went out, they found that outside the stone door was the divine temple.

The stone door was located behind the god statue, and a huge painting of divine achievements was here.

The painting was very ingenious, and the seams of the stone door were not visible at all.

The four of them bypassed the god statue and walked to the front and were taken aback!

The god statue was over three meters high and rode on a war elephant, looking very mighty.

The torch in his hand was raised high as if it was illuminating the world and his believers.

Of course, what surprised Sean Knight and the others was not the god statue but the people in front of the god statue. More than a dozen soldiers dressed in World War II German Army uniforms and dozens of people in strange clothes lay horizontally and vertically on the ground where the believers knelt and worshiped the god statue.

From the scene, they might have fought each other and died in the end.

"Boss, can you feel it? The oxygen level in the air is quite low." Elijah Hastings said with a grave expression.

"Yes," Sean Knight nodded, walking forward a few steps, looking around, and found a small door nearby, so he went to check it.

Opening the small door, Sean Knight was surprised to find that there was another warehouse inside!

However, this warehouse had been set up temporarily. Inside, there were some military wooden boxes!

Obviously, the Swastika Force had brought these boxes here as a hidden stash!

Sean Knight opened one of the boxes and found documents inside.

He opened another box, and it was still documents.

Then, there were several crates of weapons, but more of the items were gold and silver ornaments that had not been completely melted and some rough gemstones.

Sean Knight suddenly thought of the once-famous Desert Fox, who seemed to have plundered a lot of treasures in the African Continent and hid them deep in the desert, according to legend.

Could this be part of it?

After all, there were only a dozen boxes here, which was definitely not the entire collection of the Desert Fox.

"Come on, let’s take some." Sean Knight called Elijah Columbus and others, "These things can’t be taken completely. Take as much as you can. Pick the valuable ones!"

When they saw the soldiers of the Swastika Force, Elijah and the others had some guesses.

They did not say much, and they cleared out the unnecessary or worthless items from their backpacks, ready to fill them with the new loot.

When all three of them filled their backpacks, they could only carry the contents of two boxes. After all, precious metals were too heavy and not much could be carried.

The three of them carried their backpacks out, and Sean Knight collected the remaining items inside the spatial realm.

After leaving the warehouse, Sean Knight closed the door, looked around.

What surprised him was that the god statue faced the front gate, but there were still a lot of boxes behind that gate.

It seemed the Swastika Force hadn’t fully transported the items out, but there were more bodies around those boxes.

Sean Knight scanned with his Sky Eye and found that these people had almost all died from poisoning!

Now they had to be careful!

After all, they could defend against bullets, but poison was an entirely different matter!

However, Sean Knight did not want to go back through the underground river, so he planned to find an exit from here.

"Let’s go, be careful, there might be poisonous insects around." Sean Knight warned, and then took out some insect repellent powder from his backpack to share with the others.

No one was surprised by the strange items occasionally appearing in Sean Knight’s backpack.

They cautiously opened the door and went out.

There were many items here, but they couldn’t be carried out, so the boxes were simply not looked at by Elijah and the others.

Sean Knight glanced at them, saw that they were mostly ammunition supplies, and secretly collected a few boxes without making a move.

It was a large hallway-like area that circled around the previous divine temple. However, the hallway sloped upwards, and the slope was not very obvious.

Sean Knight and the others chose to walk to the right. Along the way, they could see many dead bodies. They had mostly turned into mummies due to the climate.

They reached the end of the hallway, where a large iron gate blocked their path.

A faint light came in from outside, but it was not too strong.

"We’re finally about to get out!" Seeing the light, even if it was only weak, excited them.

Douglas Cooper was eager to open the door immediately:

"I’m suffocating in the dark. It’s better to get out as soon as possible!"

"The air is getting hotter, which means we should be able to get out now," analyzed Elijah Hastings.

However, Sean Knight waved his hand:

"Don’t rush. We don’t know what’s going on outside yet. Let’s not act rashly. Wait a moment and listen!"

As the sound of his voice faded, several muffled gunshots came through!
