Chapter 1410: Chapter 683: Found a Huge Treasure!_2
However, after only a few steps, he heard the sound of an engine.
Sean Knight furrowed his brows and turned around—he could tell it wasn’t the workers’ car.
The tourism bus came again.
This time, there were two.
The first one stopped, and a dozen strong men got off, starting a quarrel with the team members guarding the road.
Douglas Cooper blew his whistle, and a dozen team members rushed over like arrows.
The two guards at the road were surrounded by a dozen strong men; no matter how tough they were, two fists were no match for four legs, and they were quickly injured.
Then the team members charged over with loud cries!
"Stay here!" Sean said to Viola before he rushed over with Elijah Hastings and Lincoln Harrington!
Who the hell could tolerate this?
Sean and his companions were already moving fast, but by the time they reached the melee, the fight had ended.
Neither side had used guns; some of the opposing group had sticks, while team members fought with their bare hands.
The result was that of the opposing party, only three managed to retreat back to the bus unscathed.
The rest were lying on the ground, some unconscious, some wailing and cradling their arms or legs, and others clutching their stomachs and retching.
On this side, four team members had been injured, and the team members were bandaging each other.
Viola also hurried over.
Sean frowned but since she had come over, he let her stay. His main concern was that those shameless thugs might hurt her.
At this moment, the overweight tour guide auntie got off from the second bus and, upon seeing the strong men’s screams, immediately began to shriek!
However, when she saw the team members coming from behind with guns, her shouting abruptly ceased.
"Chase them away, tell them if they linger here again, next time it won’t be fisticuffs, but gunfire!" Sean instructed Viola to translate to the other side.
The opposing side’s faces changed color when they heard Viola relay this.
The dozen strong men helped each other, crestfallen, onto the bus.
Though their eyes flickered with hatred, the situation was out of their hands—they’d been beaten and could do nothing but accept defeat.
Just then, the sound of police sirens suddenly pierced the air.
The bus that had been reversing immediately stopped.
And then two Police Cars approached.
"It wasn’t us who called the police, right?" Sean was slightly puzzled; the police had arrived quite quickly.
"No... it must have been the other side that called."
"Douglas, get our documents ready!" Sean knew that since the other party had called the police, they were likely trying to play the victim first.
"They’re all here," Douglas Cooper signaled, having the documents prepared.
A few Russian policemen with gun handles approached, asking in Russian what had happened—they asked the overweight tour guide.
Seeing her evasive look, Sean guessed that they probably knew each other.
But it didn’t matter now.
"That fat tour director says they came to visit the castle. It’s a tourism project designed by their company, but we stopped them, and our people even beat them up for no reason, even threatening their personal safety with guns!
She suspects that we are illegally armed here and are carrying out illegal activities."
The policemen, seeing so many people on Sean’s side and not the slightest fear of them, and that the armed team members weren’t trying to hide their weapons at all, were suddenly not so composed.
In such a situation, there were generally two possibilities.
Either the other side was fearless and unafraid of the police, or they were ready to make a clean break, so there was no need to pretend.
Either possibility required careful consideration from the police.
After all, they were only equipped with a few pistols.
Though they had carbines and Submachine Guns, they hadn’t brought those today—the call hadn’t mentioned such a serious matter!
This was clearly a trap for their own people!
The leading policeman glared at the overweight tour guide and approached Sean and his team with a smile.
Viola acted as the spokesperson, detailing the entire incident from start to finish, emphasizing that this was private property and that a rental contract had already been signed with the state. Furthermore, the castle had been purchased by Sean Knight.
Douglas Cooper cooperated by presenting all the documentation, including the proof that team members were licensed to carry guns.
The leading policeman, upon reviewing these documents, realized he had been greatly misled.
Fortunately, Sean’s side didn’t pursue the matter further, apparently reasonable people. In his eyes, a beating was light punishment—after all, this was the third intrusion.
It was enough to justify the use of firearms!
The policemen returned the documents to Sean and his team members politely and then turned around to scold the overweight tour guide. If Sean’s side hadn’t been accommodating, or if they had intended to set them up, the policemen would have fallen right into the trap!
Lucky indeed!
After berating the overweight director, they directed the bus carrying the strong men to head to the Police Station, where they planned to teach them a proper lesson!
And that was the end of it.
Normally, according to Sean Knight’s temperament, he would have set a trap for them. But he felt it was unnecessary now. Some people are bent on digging their own graves, but there’s no need to let them do it on his doorstep. It wouldn’t look good.
"Douglas, take the injured team members to the hospital in Tomsk," Sean ordered, "Stay there for two days if need be. On your way back, bring some supplies."
Douglas Cooper agreed and drove off with the team members.
Four new team members took over at the road intersection, and they headed towards the small lake.
Soon after, the sound of a car engine was heard again. This time, it was the arrival of the renovation workers.
Sean led Viola to the Lakeside. The weather today was good—he had to admit, although the latitude here was quite high, the climate had been rather pleasant recently.
