Chapter 1411: Chapter 683: Found a Great Treasure!_3

The lake water was clear, allowing one to see plenty of fish swimming, occasionally causing small ripples on the surface.

Such a small lake was quite common around here. Of course, it was only extraordinary in Sean Knight’s eyes.

Upon reaching the lakeside, Sean Knight took off his shoes, ready to enter the lake.

Viola looked puzzled and asked,

"Is there something in this lake... or are you planning to... salvage fish?"

"Just wait and see," Sean Knight said with a smile, "I think there might be something in there."

Once in the lake, with the Sky Eye activated, water reached his knees when he stopped, bent down, and reached into the lake to scoop something up.

In a moment, Sean Knight scooped up a handful of lake mud, which contained a seashell and something shiny.

He was only about ten meters from Viola, who leaned forward to see and then blurted out,

"Glass?"

"No, diamond!" Sean Knight laughed.

"What? Diamond?" Viola exclaimed.

The glittering stone was about the size of a broad bean. If it was a diamond, its price would be high!

"It’s really a diamond." Sean Knight picked up the diamond, threw the rest back into the lake, then swished the diamond in the water to clean off the specks of dirt and tossed it to Viola.

Viola clumsily caught the diamond, her face tense.

Such a valuable thing, she was scared of not catching it and not finding it again in the water!

After catching the diamond, Viola examined it carefully.

It certainly didn’t look like glass, nor like any other stone.

A diamond indeed!

"Boss, are there diamonds in here?" Elijah Hastings, hearing from not too far away, was somewhat surprised.

"Yes, there are a few." Sean Knight called out to the other team members:

"Come on down and let’s see what you can do. Whoever salvages one can keep it!"

The team members looked at each other and hesitated.

"The boss has spoken, why aren’t you moving? Whoever finds one, come up quickly and then go swap with the brother guarding the road!" Elijah Hastings saw the team members hesitating and loudly reminded them, "Hurry! But don’t stir the water up, or you won’t be able to see anything!"

The team members cheered and immediately ran toward the lake.

Sean Knight smiled and climbed up to the shore.

There were indeed numerous flickering lights in the lake, but it still required some skill and luck to actually salvage them.

"Boss, here..." Elijah Hastings pointed towards the lake surface and didn’t finish his sentence.

"There’s a very good chance..." Sean Knight said smiling, "that this is a diamond mine!"

"I’m telling you, we’ve struck it rich!"

Elijah Hastings immediately got excited upon hearing this.

He had been traveling with Sean Knight all over, seeing plenty of mines, more than one gold mine, one oil field which included his share, and even copper, iron, and coal mines, but this was his first diamond mine!

Sean Knight turned around to see that Viola was still examining the diamond, and he whispered,

"It’s just my guess, but it’s very likely—there are not a few diamonds visible in this lake. You go down too and see; you have better eyes than them. Just don’t stir up the water, then you can see some on the stones at the lake bottom."

Elijah Hastings understood Sean Knight’s meaning and rolled up his trousers to enter the water.

Though called a small lake, its surface spanned tens of thousands of square meters. With about a dozen people entering the lake, although they remained in the shallow part, they spread out widely without interfering with each other.

Soon, Elijah Hastings shouted,

"I found one!"

This one was about the size of a soybean, crystal clear, and looked very pretty.

If it had only been Sean Knight who found one, the team members might have been somewhat skeptical, but now that Elijah Hastings had found one too, it confirmed the reality.

In fact, Sean Knight was just sprinkling some perks for the team members.

He got the lion’s share, but those items were stored in the spatial realm and weren’t easy to take out. So, he used lake diamonds as a perk instead. Whoever got one could keep it. As for how the team members would share among themselves, that was their business.

Through the Sky Eye, the lake bed was covered in layers of hard stone, resembling those formed from cooled molten lava—Sean Knight guessed that this small lake might largely be an ancient meteorite crater.

Only such an environment could likely produce diamonds.

Of course, this was just speculation.

Sean Knight didn’t go back into the lake. He walked over to Viola and smilingly said, "This diamond is for you. It’s as beautiful as you are; it suits you best to wear it."

Listening to such touching words, Viola couldn’t help but reward him with a sweet kiss.

Soon, another team member got lucky, finding a diamond about the size of the one Elijah Hastings had picked, causing a sensation among the others.

This team member followed Elijah Hastings as the second person to come up, then happily went to swap with the teammate at the road junction.

Sean Knight and Viola then sat by the lakeside, enjoying the scenery. The sunshine was not too strong, a gentle breeze wafted by, and sitting on the grass was very comfortable.

Within a short while, another team member struck luck—this time the diamond found was the size of a broad bean, which left the team member overwhelmed with joy, loudly exclaiming,

"I’ve struck it rich! When it’s sold, I’ll share it with everyone!"

The other team members all laughed and congratulated him.

Soon, more newly swapped team members joined in.

By evening, almost all the team members had found treasures, more or less.

The team members discussed enthusiastically; Sean Knight wasn’t much concerned, but Elijah Hastings came over and quietly spoke,

"Boss, doing this, it might leak out. After all, there are workers around here today..."

Sean Knight slowly nodded. He had overlooked this detail before.

"Let’s call more people from home." Sean Knight thought for a moment and said, "If the news really spreads, our current manpower might not be enough. Let’s also invite some experts to explore this place, see how we can maximize the benefits."

Elijah Hastings immediately made a phone call. This matter couldn’t be delayed. Fortunately, Tomsk had an airport; getting more people over quickly was feasible.

Indeed, the next day, several new faces appeared around the area.

Fortunately, seeing the team members carrying guns, and noticing the nearby signs indicating this was private property, nobody dared to make a bold move.

But the situation changed at night!
