Chapter 1409: Chapter 683: Found a Great Treasure!

Sean Knight brought Viola back to the castle, and the area around the castle was quiet.

Sean Knight was surprised to see that there were no traces of blood on the road. Had those people really backed off?

This did not fit the temperament of the Russians!

"Those people never came back," Douglas Cooper said. "We’ve been preparing here for two days and haven’t found anything."

"Since they didn’t come, let’s not worry about them. Keep up the guard, but let’s start the renovation of the castle right away."

When Sean Knight and his team arrived, they brought technicians from Tomsk and renovation materials, planning to renovate the castle.

Once the technicians were in place, they began measuring and designing the construction.

Sean Knight wasn’t in a hurry; since there were tents set up, they just hung around nearby.

After finishing work in the afternoon, the workers took their cars and went back to the city. By nightfall, only Sean and his group remained.

Although they had only worked for half the day, the workers were quick, having already cleared some of the garbage nearby, and most of the renovation materials were unloaded in front of the castle.

According to the technicians, it would take about half a month to finish the renovation work on the castle.

Of course, restoring it to its former glory would take at least three to six months. After all, elements like the garden would need natural growth.

Sean didn’t expect to completely restore the castle in just a few days; as long as it was habitable, the rest could come slowly.

And according to Jack, setting up a hunting ground here would require them to apply for licenses, define the area, get firearm approvals, and so on. The process wouldn’t be simple.

Even with Jack’s help, they had to follow the proper procedures.

So Sean wasn’t in a rush.

He took the opportunity to explore the hundreds of square kilometers around, then planned to return to his country.

He wanted to go back and see his children.

That night, Viola and Sean slept in a tent together. Sean had been repressing his desires for a long time, and Viola, experiencing sweetness for the first time, naturally fell in love with it.

Fortunately, both knew how to restrain themselves, otherwise the team members wouldn’t have been able to sleep.

At daybreak, when Sean and Viola got up, the team members had already prepared breakfast.

Breakfast consisted of porridge, steamed buns, cold wild vegetables, sauce-coated deer meat, and fried fish—fresh fish caught from the river. It wasn’t good to stew them in the morning, so they just fried them instead.

Elijah Hastings and his team already knew that Sean didn’t mind dining and lodging outdoors during missions.

But when conditions allowed, the food had to be good.

Like now, the area near the castle was considered Sean’s domain. The abundance of wild vegetables nearby could drive those who pick wild plants crazy.

Such a large area had virtually been untapped!

The resources were incredibly rich!

So the team members only needed to go out once, and when they came back, all the ingredients needed for breakfast were ready, with surplus to spare.

"After breakfast, let’s take a stroll to the lakeside," Sean said to Viola. "That small lake might bring us a surprise."

The surprise was actually already there.

Viola had never imagined that something as mundane as wild grass from the forest could taste so good.

Well, she still preferred eating fish, eating meat.

"Being with you, I feel like it’s already a surprise," Viola said tenderly while eating.

She was telling the truth. Based on her original life trajectory, it wouldn’t have been long before she became just like those other women on the tractor with Lev.

At most, the price would have been a bit higher.

Now, she was living a life that other women envied, almost like a lady of leisure.

How could this not be a surprise?

Viola’s words once again satisfied Sean’s vanity. He smiled and put a piece of deer meat into Viola’s bowl, saying,

"Eat some more, you’ve been a bit tired these last two days."

Douglas Cooper complained,

"Boss, can you cut down on the public displays of affection? You know we’re still single!"

"No worries, I’ll give you guys time off. In the city of Tomsk, there are plenty of girls interested in you," Sean said with a smile. "Ask Lincoln Harrington. It seems a few college students left him their contact details."

"Tom? Really?" Douglas was quite surprised and turned to ask Lincoln, "Are they pretty?"

"Quite pretty," Lincoln didn’t say a word, but Elijah spoke for him, "They seemed to be students from Tomsk State University. I saw that at least three girls were interested in Lincoln, and I guess two of them left their contact information?"

"No, no, just one!" Lincoln quickly interjected, waving his hand. "I threw it away."

"How could you throw it away? That’s such a waste!" Douglas exclaimed. "How could you do that?"

"I offered it to Captain Hastings, and he didn’t want it," Lincoln said with a laugh. "Keeping it would have been pointless..."

"And you didn’t even think of me... how shallow our brotherhood seems... you’ve really disappointed me!"

Watching the three joke around, Sean laughed.

Well done, not influenced by his playboy behavior; the views on love of both Lincoln and Elijah were commendable.

Even Douglas was just talking, for if he truly wanted to find someone, he would have done so long ago.

It looked like after wrapping up here, it was time to give them a break.

After breakfast, Sean and Viola got up, ready to walk to the small lake.
