Chapter 1339: Chapter 659: This Thief Is Not Pretty_3

"That’s all I have!" the woman said with a sob in her voice, knowing she couldn’t possibly beat her opponent.

And now was her only chance.

"Surely you’re not the only person in your tribe," Sean Knight laughed.

He began to absorb the spiritual energy from the scepter.

The energy inside wasn’t abundant, but with Sean’s current abilities, it would only take a few minutes to absorb completely.

"Don’t..." the woman suddenly cried out in pain.

Sean stopped what he was doing.

Could the woman actually sense the spiritual energy within the scepter decreasing?

He noticed when he stopped absorbing the energy, the woman’s pained expression disappeared.

This really was a strange person from a strange tribe!

Sean now had more money and spiritual energy than he could use, but he was very intrigued by the applications of spiritual energy.

"Where is your tribe located?" Sean asked finally.

The woman said nothing, watching him warily.

"If you want the scepter and don’t want it damaged, you’ll have to tell me where your tribe is, so at least I know how to negotiate with you."

"Just leave an address," the woman stubbornly said. "When I’ve gathered enough gold, I’ll come to you."

"What if I make the things inside this scepter..." Sean deliberately kept it vague, "disappear?"

The woman’s brow furrowed.

She hadn’t yet spoken when Sean felt his mobile phone vibrate.

"Let’s go, someone’s coming!" Sean turned and walked towards the entrance.

He reached the entrance and the woman hesitated for a moment before following him quickly out.

Sean locked the door, then activated a mechanism and made the white wall descend.

Faint police whistles could be heard outside.

Sean noticed that the security guard who had been knocked down by the woman for stealing food had disappeared.

Obviously, the guy had woken up and then called the police!

Damn it!

Sean knew he couldn’t leave normally; he immediately went to a window to look outside.

There were two police cars outside, and a few policemen were talking with the security guard at the entrance.

Further away, more police cars were approaching.

Sean switched windows and saw that the policemen hadn’t noticed this spot yet.

And not far across from him was another building.

Sean turned to glance at the woman following him.

Sean took out his mobile phone, sent a group message, then put away his phone and opened the window.

He planned to escape via the rooftops before the police could surround the area!

"Do you need help?" Sean asked the woman.

"I don’t need it!" The woman was still angry.

Sean didn’t bother with her, jumped onto the window, and assessed the distance to another building five to six meters away.

The building was taller, but its windows were similar. There was also a window opposite, and Sean powerfully jumped towards it!

The jump looked fierce, but when he reached the opposite window, Sean had already reduced his force and gently clung to the opposite windowsill like a flying squirrel.

The woman watched through the window, astonished at this scene that seemed to defy physics!

Sean twisted and found the window could be opened, so he opened it and climbed through.

The woman saw Sean about to disappear and hurriedly jumped onto the windowsill, looking at the opposite side, only to realize that the five-to-six-meter distance was not so easy to jump!

However, seeing Sean getting further away, the woman bit her lip and leaped with all her might towards the opposite side!

However, she had overestimated her abilities. Despite her flexibility, the five-to-six meters was not an easy distance—she was just about ten centimeters short of reaching the windowsill!

It was over!

The woman’s last thought!

Just as she was losing momentum and falling, suddenly a hand reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her up!

At that moment, shouts from the police and the security guard arose downstairs:

"That’s her!"

"Catch her!"

"Don’t let her escape!"

At the same time, a flash of light went off!

Someone took a photo!

Sean pulled the woman up and set her in the hallway, saying,

"Get out of here fast, they’ll search here soon!"

After speaking, he quickly disappeared into the corridors.

The woman stomped her foot in anger, but hearing the noise outside, she knew Sean was right and quickly ran forward.

Passing a shopping center, she picked up two pieces of clothing, changed as she ran, and when she reappeared on the rooftop, she was dressed like a corporate beauty.

She tossed the tight-fitting clothes into a trash can.

Another rooftop was more challenging than this one off which she had jumped, and then she disappeared into the night.

By this time, Sean had already appeared in another district.

Although he lacked Spider Silk, the spiritual energy enhanced his physical abilities to a freakish level, allowing him to navigate building floors as if on flat ground. In no time, he had reached another district, then took out his mobile phone to contact Elijah Hastings.

A few minutes later, a car roared up, picked up Sean, and quickly disappeared.

Back at the villa, Sean said to Elijah and the other two,

"The operation went smoothly. The haul wasn’t bad either. Do you three want money, or do you prefer antiques?"

He pulled various items out of his backpack and laid them on the table.

He had already secured the masks, bronze sword, and scepter. The items here, in comparison, were of lesser value.

But any of them, if taken to auction, would fetch at least $100,000.

"I’ll take an antique," Elijah reached out and picked up a bronze ware—it was a bronze statue of a winged Jaguar.

Lincoln Harrington and Douglas Cooper also picked out antiques they wanted.

Sean laughed.

It seemed his friends had developed quite the taste.

"Alright, rest up. We’re free for the next two days; you might want to take a tour. It’s best to dress up—I reckon the Davena family is fuming right now."

Sean packed the remaining items and took them back to the bedroom.

He took out the scepter again.

The woman’s insistence on this scepter had piqued his curiosity.

What secret did this scepter hold?

Sean believed the woman would come back for it.

Definitely!
