Chapter 1338: Chapter 659: This Thief Is Not Pretty_2

Sean Knight watched the woman start picking the lock and shook his head.

This lock could probably only be opened with the key obtained from Nancy. Letting this woman pick the lock, it would probably take her seven or eight years to succeed!

Sean Knight didn’t want to wait. He silently moved behind the woman and chopped her neck with the side of his hand, then, holding her limp body, he placed her on the stairs.

The woman fainted.

Sean Knight took out the key and unlocked the iron gate.

He turned his head for a look and decided to just leave the woman there for now.

Everyone was in the same line of work; there was no need to make things difficult for each other.

However, it was during this glance that Sean Knight was surprised to see the woman’s face begin to change, and then it became more attractive.

It was still changing, becoming very beautiful.

A few seconds later, the face settled into its final form—an exceptionally beautiful girl!

Her beauty was not at all inferior to Cheryl Suweton—a mixed-race beauty.

Sean Knight suddenly realized—she could actually control the muscles of her face to make herself look so ordinary!

Impressive!

Now that she had fainted, the muscles were out of her control, so they had reverted to their original state.

She must not have perfected her technique yet.

Sean Knight understood this and decided not to bother with her anymore. He directly opened the door and went inside.

There were three door locks in total, and Sean Knight opened each one, revealing the items inside!

The place was still a massive singular space, with a few load-bearing pillars, and the entire floor was in the same area.

There were rows and rows of shelves, filled with various cultural relics.

There were Aztec, Maya, ancient Indigenous, and even older Stone Age items.

Initially, most of the items in these places were made of gold, but among the hundreds of pieces in front of him, gold products made up less than one-fifth.

Sean Knight guessed that a significant portion of them had probably already been auctioned off.

What surprised Sean Knight was that among these hundreds of items, he saw three that had a distinct aura of spiritual energy!

One was a gold piece, a Golden Mask. One was a Bronze ware, a Bronze Sword, and another was a scepter made of wood inlaid with gemstones.

Sean Knight first put the mask on his face, then picked up the Bronze Sword and put it away. Holding the scepter, he began collecting the items in the place one by one.

He didn’t even spare the shelves.

His goal was to leave no stone unturned!

Just as he was emptying the last shelf, Sean Knight suddenly stopped.

He turned around and saw the woman, propping up her head and sitting up, then looking dazedly into the place.

Then she saw Sean Knight.

The Golden Mask on Sean Knight’s face was a bit bizarre, and the gems on the scepter in his hand were still glowing—a rare yellow gem.

As big as a fist.

When the woman saw Sean Knight reaching for the items on the shelf, she panicked immediately, jumped up, and tried to compete with Sean Knight for them—

Sean Knight realized that the woman’s target was the scepter in his hand!

Although the woman’s movements were agile, giving a sense of a leopard, how could she possibly outrun Sean Knight!

Having already secured the items, Sean Knight naturally did not intend to have any involvement with the woman; he dodged her attack and was about to knock her out!

"Wait!" the woman suddenly shouted, "Don’t hit me! I have something to say!"

Her English was not very fluent, but Sean Knight stopped.

He was curious to hear what this fellow collector had to say.

"Can you hand that scepter over to me?" the woman pointed at the mask on Sean Knight’s face, "You already have this mask, this scepter..."

"Why? What will you trade for it?" Sean Knight asked.

The woman fell silent.

A few seconds later, the woman spoke:

"Actually, this scepter has always been guarded by our tribe. It was just stolen eventually and then hidden here by the Davena family.

As I know, in a week, the Davena family is going to auction off this scepter. So I must get the scepter in my hands..."

"Your tribe?" Sean Knight laughed.

This woman, at least from her attire, had nothing to do with a tribe, with many traces of modern makeup and modern technology. Tribe, he really didn’t believe it.

"Yes. Tribe." The woman nodded and said, "You wouldn’t think that all tribes live in primitive jungles, would you? Our tribe has long been integrated into the city.

In the eyes of outsiders, we are no different from anyone else, only we ourselves know our roots, our ancestors, our soul!"

The woman’s voice was very determined, and Sean Knight could tell she wasn’t performing.

"Still the same question, what will you trade for it with me," Sean Knight said, "As you can see, you couldn’t even get in here without me."

The woman ran out of words and bowed her head in thought.

Sean Knight pulled out a backpack and began to pack the last shelf’s items into the backpack.

When the woman lifted her head at the noise, she was surprised to see a backpack in Sean Knight’s hands.

After packing the items into the backpack, Sean Knight slung it over his back and walked out.

"When you figure out what to trade, come find me!" Sean Knight left these words as he passed the woman.

"Wait!" Knowing she might really be too late if she did not speak up, she immediately exclaimed:

"I’ll trade with gold!"

"How much gold?" Gold was indeed hard currency, and Sean Knight stopped in his tracks.

"Ten kilograms!" The woman bit her lip, "That’s all my fortune!"

"Not enough," Sean Knight shook his head, "Too little."

Actually, the scepter was mainly useful to him for its spiritual energy inside; he was somewhat curious about the tribe that the woman mentioned.
