Chapter 1332: Chapter 657 This is a Sad Story_2
Sean Knight’s heart stirred.
This woman is probably not as simple as her surface identity suggests.
Which organization does she belong to?
Sean Knight shook his head and said,
"Maybe. But without evidence, what’s more, even if we knew that Nancy knew about this in advance, what could we do? So many people have disappeared, do you really believe they will be rescued?"
Sean Knight’s face appropriately showed pain and regret, the woman looked deeply at him and then fell silent.
The two watched the sunset for a while when the little penguin suddenly cried out. Sean Knight said,
"I need to go back and feed it."
After saying that, he left with the small penguin.
Back in the cabin, Sean Knight mused that indeed, this team was a mixed bag, with people of various purposes.
However, it was no longer his concern.
The Davena family’s expedition this time had failed. Not to mention the heavy losses, they were very likely to be targeted by some organizations.
Sean Knight was the biggest beneficiary, but he was not happy. Most of the people who fell underground were innocent.
The Davena family would definitely have to pay a large sum of money.
While feeding the little penguin, Sean Knight thought about the possible aftermath of this event.
After dinner, Sean Knight was lying in his cabin, browsing on his mobile phone.
A soft knock on the door sounded.
Sean Knight looked through the peephole and saw it was Lincoln Harrington.
Sean Knight went forward, unlocked the door, and Lincoln Harrington came in, quickly closing the door behind him.
"Boss, there might be some trouble!" Lincoln Harrington said with a grave expression,
"We suspect that Nancy might be planning to silence us!"
"What?" Sean Knight was startled, this was somewhat unexpected to him.
"One of the Indian staff members with us said he overheard Nancy requesting a team of armed personnel during her rescue call!
That Indian knows quite a few languages, and though Nancy was speaking a lesser-known language, it happened to be understood by that Indian friend..."
"What do you guys plan to do?" Sean Knight knew this was serious.
"He said her plan for Nancy is to gather the remaining people tomorrow and reassign the living areas.
Once their armed personnel arrive, they will take control of us... A few of us want to wait and see what happens tomorrow. If we’re gathered to live together, then we will take control of the boat first!"
"I understand," Sean Knight told Lincoln Harrington,
"Wait here for a moment."
He turned around, pulled out a big bag from under his bed, and handed it to Lincoln Harrington,
"Here are weapons, both long and short. Since there’s a possibility on their part, we can’t just sit and wait. With these, it will be more convenient for you to respond."
Lincoln Harrington nodded, took the bag, and left.
He had long experienced the boss’s extraordinary reach. He also never asked where these things came from. Just using them was enough!
In another cabin, Elijah Hastings and Douglas Cooper were waiting.
Seeing Lincoln Harrington coming with a big bag, Elijah Hastings smiled and said to Douglas Cooper,
"Douglas, what do you think? Didn’t I tell you the boss would be well-prepared?"
Douglas Cooper was still not quite believing. After Lincoln Harrington came in, he immediately closed the door and eagerly opened the bag.
"Damn!" Douglas Cooper couldn’t help but swear.
The bag contained shotguns, submachine guns, pistols, lots of bullets, smoke bombs, hand grenades, and more. There was also a box, Lincoln Harrington opened it, and inside was a disassembled sniper rifle.
Enough to arm a squad!
"With these, we can face things more calmly," Elijah Hastings picked up a shotgun and grabbed a handful of bullets, stuffing them in, "We’ll see how things go. If they really have that in mind, then we’ll make the first move!"
"Should we give one to that Indian brother?" Douglas Cooper asked.
"Just a pistol," Lincoln Harrington replied, "The brother is a member of the Maoists, a devout believer of our instructor. Such people can be trusted."
"How do you know?" Douglas Cooper asked, puzzled.
"Did you know? He recites the instructor’s quotations flawlessly!" Lincoln Harrington said while assembling the sniper rifle, "It wasn’t until he recited quite a lot that I realized..."
"It’s our strongest cultural export indeed!" Douglas Cooper exclaimed with admiration.
Lincoln Harrington disassembled the sniper rifle again and put it back into the box.
The weapons were distributed among the few men, and since they were dressed warmly, there was no worry of being noticed.
Sean Knight did not prepare. The weapons were in his spatial realm, ready for instant use.
He also believed that with the prepared confronting the unprepared, if Nancy’s people truly intended to silence them, Elijah Hastings and the other two would definitely not let them succeed.
The little penguin ate the dried fish without a care, and after it was full, Sean Knight took it to the deck and found a spot for it to defecate.
The little penguin, since being infused with a tiny bit of spiritual energy by Sean Knight, had grown quickly and become much smarter. It understood what Sean Knight meant and after defecating on the deck, it even showed off to Sean Knight.
At that moment, a staff member appeared on the deck and was taken aback when he saw Sean Knight, then quickly approached him, speaking menacingly,
"Why aren’t you staying in the cabin after dark?"
Sean Knight pointed at the penguin, then at the pile of droppings, and without further acknowledgment, walked back with the penguin.
The staff member clearly had not expected Sean Knight to be unafraid of him. He glared at Sean Knight’s retreating figure, muttering to himself,
"You’ll get what’s coming to you, sooner or later!"
