Chapter 1172: Chapter 603 Shall We Be Second-hand Dealers Too?_3

"Tell him that one ton of gold is enough. Also, assure him that the items I offer are authentic, and he can bring his appraisal expert to verify them," Sean Knight hadn’t expected that the buyer would actually offer a fair price.

If the other party was generous, there was no need for him to be overly meticulous. After all, most of the items were indeed obtained from Great Britain. The cost was low, so Sean thought the price he could sell them for was acceptable.

After hanging up the phone, Sean heard the young guys coming back outside.

These fellas really knew how to have fun. Young people have so much energy!

However, listening to them joking about luxury cars attracting girls, what did that mean?

The second day, after breakfast, Elijah Hastings reported:

"Boss, Charles Young said the procedures have already been applied for, and we will take off in three days."

"Okay, you guys keep touring in the next two days," Sean said. "It just so happens that I have some matters to deal with here, too."

"Then I’ll stay," Lincoln Harrington said. "I don’t really like touring around anyway."

"Boss, is Lincoln enough?" Elijah asked.

"Enough," Sean waved a hand dismissively, "someone is coming to buy goods; it’s just a handover."

"In that case, I’ll stay too," Elijah said. "Douglas, you take everyone else for a tour. Don’t cause any trouble."

"Boss, how about we all stay?" Douglas Cooper proposed. "It’s easier to handle things with more people."

"No need, go out and have fun," Sean waved them off, "There are only three or four people coming from their side, but we have half a platoon here; that would be too intimidating! Elijah’s right, you guys go have fun, just don’t cause trouble."

"Don’t worry, we definitely won’t cause any trouble," Douglas laughed. "Even if we did, we wouldn’t leave a tail. Who are we, after all?"

Several people left laughing.

Elijah and Lincoln stayed, wandering around the courtyard and then watering the plants, sweeping, and feeding the fish.

At noon, after the three of them had eaten, a phone call came in—the other party had already arrived.

That was quick!

Sean took out the Egyptian cultural relics from his room, and Elijah and Lincoln helped to arrange them in the living room.

"Are we being a bit reckless by displaying several tens of millions of dollars’ worth of items like this?" Lincoln couldn’t help but ask.

"No problem, if they really plan to buy, let’s just leave them out like this," Sean was unconcerned. If it weren’t for the fear of shocking the public too much, he’d be eager to sell off much more from his spatial realm at this price.

"As long as we keep watch, we don’t have to worry about them switching anything out."

This was indeed true; the three of them had vision surpassing that of most people in the world. It would not be easy for anyone to switch items right in front of them.

Soon, the sound of a car approached from outside, followed by a knock on the door.

Lincoln went to open the door, and Sean saw four people enter.

The rich man, two bodyguards, and an appraisal expert, that was Sean’s guess.

"Hello," Sean nodded in greeting.

"Good day, Mr. Knight. My employer, Mr. Senid, sends his regards," one of the tall men, whom Sean had thought was a bodyguard, turned out to be a translator, or double as one.

"Can your employer speak English?" Sean asked, somewhat helplessly. "If so, we can communicate directly."

"No," the translator shook his head. "The employer only speaks the local language of Egypt."

To Sean’s surprise, this Senid was not part of the Green Sect, didn’t wear a headscarf, and wasn’t a white person; he was likely a genuine local Egyptian.

When will Mandarin become the world language?

Sean chided himself internally and then led them into the living room.

"Ah—"

Senid exclaimed in surprise, almost ready to pounce.

Thirty pieces of ancient Egyptian cultural relics were laid out in front of him, displayed as if they were just teapots. How could he not be excited?

"Have your appraisal expert take a look," Sean said. "These are all the items from the photos I sent, the actual items."

The appraisal expert didn’t wait for a translation; he already started using his tools to inspect each item closely.

This appraisal expert examined each item very carefully, whispering something to Senid as he did so.

Sean didn’t pay it much mind and stayed with Elijah and Lincoln, watching the process.

A business deal for one ton of gold wasn’t to be rushed in the slightest!

Sixty-plus million dollars might not be much to Sean,

But when it comes to one ton of gold, that’s a different level of excitement entirely!

After the appraisal expert had finished examining two items, Senid straightened up and gave Sean a thumbs up.

Sean understood his meaning; at least those two items were authentic.

Nonsense, with Sky Eye at his disposal, there would be no chance of fakes in his collection!

The appraisal expert didn’t check in order but started with the scepter, which evidently held the most importance in his eyes.

Sean thought, if I brought out the complete set from that mummy’s tomb chamber, wouldn’t that scare you to death?

The initial appraisal was slow, but it picked up pace later on.

Sean guessed that, by the end, the appraisal expert probably became numb to it—in excess, the original sense of surprise faded.

Just like when he first started container treasure hunting: one Chinese cultural relic could excite him for a long time.

But now, not even a hundred ordinary cultural relics could elicit that same sense of surprise.

After all thirty items had been appraised, more than two hours had passed.

Fortunately, everyone was patient. Even Senid, though visibly tired, kept his focus on the appraisal expert, never asking for a break.

The appraisal expert packed up his tools and let out a sigh, speaking a string of words to the translator.

Finally, the translator spoke:

"Our expert says that, apart from two items where the dating is uncertain, the rest are authentic."

"Then I’ll take back those two," Sean said straightforwardly, knowing they were genuine. If someone else couldn’t recognize that, he wasn’t going to argue.

It’s all about providence after all.

Upon hearing this, Senid became reluctant. He said a few pointed words to the appraisal expert, appearing quite irritated.

Sean intended to smooth things over; after all, it was a business deal, and it’s better to be on good terms to make a profit!
