Chapter 1171: Chapter 603 Shall We Be Second-hand Dealers Too?_2

"Alright, once Yang Jianguang sorts out the procedures, we’ll take off,"

"Sounds good. However, I’ve heard that there’s been a bit of a delay with the procedures due to some issues," Elijah Hastings explained.

"No worries, there’s no rush at this very moment. It’s a good opportunity for you to take a look around the Capital City. You’ve probably never had the chance to properly explore, right?" Sean Knight said. "The car is right here, and... the Quadrangle Courtyard is spacious enough for everyone to stay. Oh, and Elijah, go ahead and distribute some allowances to the other team members first... let’s start with 30,000 each."

The allowances for fieldwork under the boss were always quite generous, and the team members were all aware of this. Although the work was dangerous, the boss always emphasized safety first, so the team members were very willing to go on these assignments.

Now, hearing that they were getting an allowance of 30,000 before even departing, the team members all smiled happily.

Here, the timezone was about the same as in Mongolia, and Sean Knight made another phone call to Edward Shermer.

Still no answer.

Sean Knight was certain something must have gone wrong on Shermer’s end.

While the guys went out for fun at night, Sean Knight didn’t join them, and instead received a phone call from Robert.

"Sean, someone is looking to make a deal, are you interested?"

"What kind of deal?" Sean Knight was curious. Robert had been quite active lately.

"Someone wants to buy cultural relics that have come out of Great Britain—I’ll get straight to the point. It’s a wealthy Egyptian, an indigenous person from an Indigenous Tribe. They found oil in their tribe, got rich, and have since been collecting ancient Egyptian artifacts that are scattered abroad.

"He also attended the last auction but didn’t win many items. Afterwards, when he heard those relics were stolen, he wanted to use my channel to find some Egyptian artifacts. I don’t know if you have anything..."

Robert knew Sean Knight had broad capabilities, but he didn’t actually think Sean had anything to do with those events.

After all, Robert was also aware of the airport incident, even though it wasn’t widely known.

He figured that even if Sean Knight had won any items, it wasn’t certain he’d have been able to bring them back.

But it was worth a shot, right? If the deal went through, he would get his commission.

"I don’t have those artifacts here," Sean Knight thought for a moment. Some items were better off sold than kept. "However, I do have quite a few ancient Egyptian relics. I wonder if he might need them..."

"Do you have photos?" Robert’s breathing quickened upon hearing Sean Knight’s response.

"Of course. Just give me a moment to send them to your mailbox," Sean Knight replied. "These items are quite valuable, so I definitely won’t accept a low price. But he can rest assured, if he buys them, out of respect for someone who is also striving to preserve the seeds of an ancient civilization, I will give him a fair price—Oh, and it has to be paid in gold."

In his room, Sean Knight took out item after item of ancient Egyptian artifacts from his spatial realm.

From the Pharaoh’s Scepter to the Queen’s Jewelry and the Burial Objects from the Pyramid Tomb Chamber.

On looking through his collection, Sean Knight realized just how many artifacts he had from ancient Egypt—tens of thousands of items, including coins, and that was an underestimate!

Among them were also items from the Wanzijun Treasure House, really quite a substantial collection.

Sean Knight guessed that even the British Museum probably didn’t have as many ancient Egyptian artifacts as he did.

It’s just that there were some things there that were rare and not in his possession.

Sean Knight selected about twenty to thirty representative items, took photos, and sent them to Robert’s mailbox.

Robert replied:

"Sean, you really are very efficient, and that’s quite in line with your country’s traits!"

"Let him take a look first. Maybe he won’t like them," Sean Knight replied and then planned to go to sleep.

Sleeping here felt very down to earth, and Sean Knight liked it.

However, before he could get halfway through his sleep, he received another phone call from Robert.

"Sean, I forwarded the photos you sent to the Egyptian wealthy man, and he’s very, very eager to buy these items!"

"Robert, do you know what time it is? It’s two in the morning! I’m trying to sleep!" Sean Knight was unhappy.

Although it didn’t really matter to him whether he slept or not. He wouldn’t feel tired even if he didn’t sleep for ten or eight days, but he believed in maintaining his life habits. He didn’t want to become an eccentric.

"Sorry, sorry!" Robert obviously knew it was late, "But the client is in a hurry and hopes to get the items as soon as possible. He plans to take today’s airplane to China. Where are you in China?"

"Capital City." Sean Knight could probably sense the Egyptian’s urgency, much like his own desire to purchase a Bronze Tripod with an inscription.

"So, can you guys make the trade in China?" What Robert actually meant to ask was whether Sean Knight was willing to part with the artifacts.

"Of course I am," Sean Knight naturally had no issues.

As for him, these artifacts were not from his own country, so selling them was not a problem. Of course, there were potential issues like whether the Customs would allow their export—but that wasn’t his problem to consider.

He was only responsible for selling them.

"Okay, I’ll let him know right now," Robert said. "The client plans to bring one ton of gold over... he said that’s all he can gather for now..."

At the international gold price, one ton of gold is worth roughly 60 million US dollars.

It seems these ancient Egyptian artifacts are indeed worth some money!

"He says he knows the gold isn’t enough. But he can’t gather more in a short time. For the rest, he is willing to pay in Euros, yen, or RMB, according to your preference."
