Chapter 1085: Chapter 574: Let it Meet Amaterasu!_3
"Alright, Elsa, it seems you’re right about me. I should indeed wait a few more days." A beautiful woman’s words always carry a bit more persuasive power, and Sidney Roberts, who’d had too much to drink, was easily convinced.
This made Sean Knight, who had originally planned to have Mary Powell coax a few words, dismiss the idea.
This should make a qualified driver, whom he could fully recruit when the time came.
Having settled the bill, Sean Knight and his companions left.
"Let’s find a place to stay first. Over the next two days, let’s check out the nearby six towns and inquire about the situation," Sean Knight laid out his plan beside the car, "Moreover, I think those soybeans that were transported away are worth checking out."
"Boss, let me come with you," Elijah Hastings said, "We’re unfamiliar with this place... "
"That’s true," Sean Knight nodded in agreement, "So, Lincoln Harrington, you and Douglas will handle the investigation of the land, and Mary will translate for you."
"Six towns?" Mary frowned, "Your land is pretty spread out, huh? How much land do you own?"
By this point, Sean Knight and his group had essentially figured out Mary’s disposition. He wasn’t bad, though a bit of a slick operator, but fundamentally decent.
So they didn’t conceal the truth from him:
"Most of the land in the six towns is ours. However, we need to update the procedures first. This is where we’ll need your assistance. Don’t worry, there will be extra payment for you."
"Most of it..." Mary took a deep breath, feeling a bit of a chill and a tang of sourness in his teeth. They’d assumed these people were just well-mannered with no airs about them, figuring at most they owned a few hectares, but they turned out to be big landlords!
"No problem, no problem at all!" Mary quickly reacted, realizing he must latch on to these coattails, "I’ll do anything!"
That day, as soon as they’d settled in the Small Town, Sean Knight and his group saw three cars rush out of that large courtyard and head towards the outskirts of the town.
The Little Inn’s manager said:
"Those damned Japanese have finally run away!"
Upon hearing this, Sean Knight immediately exchanged a glance with Elijah Hastings, and then they rushed out the door to their car and gave chase.
The three cars were loaded with plenty of stuff and weren’t moving quickly, so at first, Sean Knight and his group just trailed them slowly. When they reached a forested area with no one in sight, Elijah Hastings quickly pulled out, overtook, and forced the lead car to stop.
The people in the cars were clearly on high alert. As soon as Elijah’s car stopped, they immediately stopped too, and the cars behind them began to reverse.
Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings jumped out of their car, pistols with silencers already firing continuously at the vehicles:
"Bang bang bang bang!"
Not every shot was a kill shot, but after a few shots, all three drivers were dead.
In Sean Knight’s Sky Eye, these individuals all radiated red auras, signaling they had blood on their hands.
Killing them was no crime.
The opponents drew their guns to return fire, but Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings had the upper hand. By the time the men reacted, only one of them managed to shoot before being dispatched.
They pulled the people from the cars and checked inside, exchanging a knowing look. As expected, haha.
The cars were mostly filled with bundles of cash, and some other packages.
Clearly, in the eyes of the Chinese People, such suspicious items could be directly linked to a death sentence.
In the last car, apart from these men and weapons, the rest were antiques of gold and crystal—clearly of Native American and Maya style.
They likely came across these antiques here.
The two men silently moved the big bags of money and items into Sean Knight’s New Car and another undamaged Car, then drove the bodies and cars under the carriage-way, spilled out the Gasoline, and set them on fire.
"It’s nice with fewer people around," Elijah Hastings observed the soaring Flames, "Makes it easier to get things done without anyone noticing."
"Can’t be sure. Well, let’s go. Those people have left, so the place they were staying must be vacant now. That means it’s ours," Sean Knight spoke, "First we’ll claim the place, then head to the Harbor."
Elijah Hastings had no objections.
Driving two cars, they returned to the large Courtyard in the Small Town and found the College Gate ajar with locals already carrying items outside.
"Don’t move!" Elijah Hastings jumped out of the car and shouted in English, "All these items are ours; we’re taking over!"
After speaking, Elijah fired a gunshot into the air!
The gunshot startled everyone present!
And then they all dropped what they were holding and ran away!
One fell while running, not even bothering to retrieve his Shoes!
Obviously, they weren’t particularly brave.
Watching everyone depart, Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings inspected the Courtyard.
The Courtyard was large, featuring a big warehouse, presumably for storing food. Now it stood utterly empty.
There was also a shed next to a Small Building, with several dozen pieces of agricultural machinery.
There were even Empty seats, leading Sean Knight to guess that some equipment had already been dealt with.
Otherwise, these departing folks likely wouldn’t have had so much Money.
However, reclaiming the Land was of utmost importance to Sean Knight; everything else could be replenished.
Elijah Hastings kept watch outside while Sean Knight went upstairs to take a look around, finding no significant damage. At worst, some household appliances had been taken but were still left Inside Courtyard.
"Alright, let’s call Lincoln and the others over. Also, stop by the Mayor’s office to report, just say that the new landlord has arrived," Sean Knight instructed, "We’re heading to the Harbor today. I reckon the reason these Japanese are leaving now is that the food-carrying boat is about to leave!"
"Okay," Elijah agreed, then went to call Lincoln and the others.
Lincoln and the rest hadn’t expected to "take over" so smoothly. Naturally, the less Trouble, the better.
Meeting with the Mayor was left to Lincoln, with Mary tagging along, ensuring at least they wouldn’t have trouble understanding the conversation.
Meanwhile, Sean Knight and his team hurried to the Harbor. There should be no shortage of people there who spoke English.
That Night, Sean Knight and his group arrived at the nearest Harbor.
It was a deep-water port with quite a few large Cargo Ships docked.
After parking the car, Sean Knight and Elijah Hastings didn’t take long to locate a fully loaded grain Cargo Ship at the Port, which was stocked up and set to sail in about one hour.
"It’s loaded with about 100,000 tons of soybean and 50,000 tons of Corn," Elijah reported to Sean Knight, "bound for Japan."
"In that case, let’s send this ship to meet their Amaterasu," Sean Knight said fiercely!
