Isabella sat beside Lexus while he was holding on to the reins; there was only a single road, so he didn’t need to do much but beat the horses from time to time.

"If you keep beating the horses like that, they’ll die of exhaustion," Isabella said with a chuckle while looking forward to her journey.

"Yeah, I guess I won’t beat them; the journey has only started." Lexus nodded his head with a smile.

*KRA-KA-BOOM*

The sky was rumbling once again; it made a deep, huge sound. Isabella, hearing the sound, sat a little closer to Lexus.

Lexus smiled, then held her right hand with his left one, and both didn’t talk much until the Imperial Road ended.

The roads next on their path were next to none, but deep ice was still there, and impending rain was making the whole weather colder and colder.

"Let’s see this map I got from Arthur. There must be something marked here to help us out." Lexus smilingly said, then pulled out the parchment Arthur gave him earlier.

The map was somewhat hand-drawn, and it was very clear, but Lexus could guess what is what.

"Okay, so if we take the straight route, we’ll find some inns on the road, which is very nice. We could restock and rest. See this?" Lexus suddenly pointed at a place that was marked with red color.

" Northern Bandits, the most dangerous bandit group of the Northern Region and with a huge amount of people, we shouldn’t be messing with them," Isabella said seriously; she knows a thing or two about the northern region.

"I know, but it wouldn’t hurt, would it? Just to look at them from afar? " Lexus asked with a little bit of mischief in his eyes.

"Well, I don’t think it would be wise—but we’re just young people. Nobody told us we had to be wise," Isabella said, playfully sticking out her tongue.

"Ahaha. True enough, let’s go, horsie," Lexus said to the horses, then navigated them towards the Northern Bandit camp.

"Did you check inside? Is there only food? " Lexus asked, as he was thinking about something like how it would be better.

"Yeah, mostly food; there’s some clothes and woolen blankets," Isabella replied. She already inspected the whole carriage inside and found a huge amount of food inside.

"Alright, here, this is a very good sword; use it. I’ve got this." Lexus gave the sword he found underground while killing the young prince.

This sword is an extinguisher-level sword, which was a very powerful weapon and wind attribute.

Isabella, holding the sword sheath, felt unimaginable power pulsing through the sword; she was mesmerized by it.

"Where did you get it?" Isabella asked while looking at the sword.

"From one of the Evil Knights of the empire, don’t worry about it; I have a little better one." Lexus then handed his Bane Sword to Isabella, which even felt better than what he gave her.

"Princess, did you let them take these national treasure-level swords?" Isabella asked with an impressed face.

"Well, I don’t think they’re that important anyway. How many level 600+ figures exist within an empire? Perhaps thousands. So, in the grand scheme of things, they hardly matter," Lexus concluded, confidently justifying his reasoning.

"Kolar Gold Empire is maybe one of the weakest empires in the northern region, so they have around 3-5 people who are level 600+, not a thousand, dummy." Isabella chuckled, then gave Bane’s sword back to Lexus and put the wind-attributed sword in her possession.

"Go have some rest; it’ll take time to reach there. Take care of that little girl," Lexus said while he slowed down the carriage and then stopped it.

"I could move in a moving carriage." Isabella, saying this, got down and went inside the carriage. She knows the rules of the wild: you must take as much rest as possible.

Lexus started the carriage once again. After he saw the sun was setting and the weather was getting colder and colder, he stopped the carriage by a huge tree.

Getting inside the carriage, he saw Isabella was sleeping, and she was using the little girl as her body pillow, although the floor of the stagecoach was big enough to fit three; he didn’t want to make them uncomfortable.

Sigh!

Lexus sighed, then got out of the stagecoach and lit a fire. The jungle was mostly empty because the cold was terrible; only huge black-leaved trees survived this psychopathic cold.

Lexus used the small fire maker, which was inside his ring, to light the fire; he then went inside the carriage again, took a bulky blanket, and sat beside the fire.

"This is nice," Lexus said as he ate his dinner alone in the forest while guarding the girls.

The next morning both girls woke up in a moving carriage; Isabella, after waking up, saw the little girl was munching on some dried bacon.

"Sigh!! You’re always hungry; come here." Isabella grabbed the little girl and took the bacon from her hand; the little girl puffed her cheeks and pouted.

"Oh? Angry are we? This thing is in a packet; you open it first, then eat." Isabella opened the packet of bacon and then gave it back to her.

The little girl immediately smiled and took it; she looked extremely happy, except Isabella was a little concerned because that pack of bacon has almost half a kilo of bacon, which could last them 2 days in this wilderness.

Isabella went out again while hanging on the moving carriage; Lexus looked back and then stopped the coach.

"Horses rested the whole night, but can I sleep inside?" Lexus asked because he can’t sleep on an uncomfortable couch, which constantly moves and hurts his body.

"Oh, yes! You can sleep while the carriage moves because this thing has something special. It’s called through braces"—you won’t feel uncomfortable," Isabella said. As the daughter of the commercial village’s chief, she was introducing Lexus to this world.

"Alright, I’ll go and take a rest. You sit here with the little one," Lexus said before going inside the carriage. He picked up the tiny girl, who didn’t mind being carried. She felt comfortable in his arms while munching on the packet of bacon.

Like that 3 days and 2 nights past, they soon saw a huge settlement, which was built on a huge crater inside the forest.

Lexus and Isabella were alone on the ridge of the crater; they left the carriage far, and the little girl was sleeping inside the carriage.

They were lying down on their stomach to check out the huge bandit settlement, and the more they saw, the more astonished they became.

"It’s like a small town; how can they survive in this weather?" Isabella asked; she was actually very much shocked to see such a grand bandit camp.

"Well, look there, they loot, and the looted amount is not that small either." Lexus pointed at the location where various groups of bandits were coming inside while giving their loot inside a house.

"They’ve built a bandit community here," Lexus chuckled, and then a fantastic plan came to his mind.

"I’ll go assassinate the leader of the camp; you go take care of the carriage and little girl. We can’t just kill thousands of people; we loot the fat sheep and then run," Lexus said with a confident smile on his face.
