Chapter 999: Almost Changed Her Plans
Chapter 999: Chapter 999: Almost Changed Her Plans
Arabella suddenly asked herself a lot of questions as she stared at the book in fear.
She pulled out more books from the same shelf and paled as she saw more of the act on those books and other kinky stuff that was a bit too extreme for her.
"I don’t think I can do those..." Arabella muttered to herself.
"Arabella?!" Ferdinand suddenly came running into the room.
He was wide-eyed when he saw her holding a book, especially after seeing the page it was open to.
"I was too late," Ferdinand smacked his forehead with his palm.
Meanwhile, Arabella quickly closed the book and returned it to where she had pulled it.
However, when she gave the shelf a once-over, she realized she hadn’t returned the books properly. They were not perfectly aligned, except for the one that she first saw was not aligned with the others when she had not touched anything yet.
It was clear with one look that she had already checked a lot of the books.
She wanted to say, "I didn’t see anything." But she was already caught in the act, and the misaligned books made her lie clearly.
Thus, she said instead, "I don’t think I can do those, Ferdinand."
Arabella concluded it was better to make it clear once and for all, so they were on the same page.
And it was better to talk about it now, while they have not yet returned to Estrella.
In case they truly were not compatible in preferences in bed, then perhaps, there’s still a chance they could change their plans.
Ferdinand stepped forward towards and Arabella stepped back without knowing it.
[She’s scared of me now?! She must have been shocked and terrified!]
Ferdinand stopped taking a step forward and said in a low soothing voice, "Arabella, please don’t misunderstand. I wasn’t into those. It just happened to come with the supplies I received, and there’s no way to return them."
’Oh, so he’s not into those?!’ Arabella felt hope once again.
"Yes. I never was. The books on the lower layers of the shelf are things that don’t interest me," Ferdinand clarified.
"Are you sure?" Arabella asked warily.
This conversation may define their future after all.
Ferdinand has an appetite in bed, and he was already holding back a lot for her sake, who could not do it as much as he wanted.
If he has interests and fantasies that she once again could not satisfy, then it may mean their relationship would gradually become strained if he always had to hold back.
She had been trying her best to last in bed, but it was still difficult with all his stamina.
Arabella was already guilty about that, and she felt bad that Ferdinand was not getting his fill.
He always comforts her and says that doing it as much as she could was alright. But it worries her that one day, he might get tired of always having to be the one to hold back.
Their feelings for each other were undeniably real, and each lovemaking session felt valuable and pleasurable.
But if one always had to hold back, something might go wrong in the future.
Especially if it involved a taste in things one could never do, no matter how time passes.
"Yes, I’m sure. I’m not interested in those things. I’m more than content with what we currently do," Ferdinand assured her.
Arabella asked again for the third time, and when Ferdinand promised he was speaking the truth and the same was true in his thoughts, she sighed in relief.
When he walked towards her again, she finally did not step back and accepted his embrace.
"I’m so sorry, you had to see those," Ferdinand apologized.
[She must be terrified. I haven’t read any of the books here for a while, so it completely left my mind. I should have been more careful. If the maker won’t take it back, then I should probably just burn those damned books.]
"It’s alright. I’m fine now. But, I’d prefer if you indeed return or dispose of those books with extreme contents," Arabella said as she rubbed her chest.
She would rather not have him continue reading books like those and become curious about them.
"Yes, of course. I’ll have it returned, or it will be turned to ashes."
"Thank you," Arabella sighed in relief. "I almost thought we had to redo our talks about the future and change plans if we are not compatible in bed."
"WHAT?! What do you mean, redo our talks and change our plans? What among our plans?! You are not allowed to change your mind anymore. You promised, right?" Ferdinand immediately went into panic mode.
"I said, ALMOST," Arabella clarified. "Compatibility is also important, especially since we must live together for a long time until we die."
[This must mean how seriously she takes our relationship and agreement. I should calm down.]
"Yes, I understand. But we are not at all incompatible. We are very much compatible. I have never felt as complete as when I am with you," Ferdinand assured her.
Arabella smiled and hugged him back as her heart skipped a beat and raced faster at his words.
"You learned to speak this way from the books from the higher shelves," Arabella chuckled as she recalled where she saw instructions on how to flatter a woman.
"I’m just telling the truth," Ferdinand quickly defended himself.
"Hahaha... I know," Arabella chuckled even more. She only stopped when her poor husband was blushing in embarrassment.
He did say those words sincerely, though, and it made her happy.
Because Ferdinand was so embarrassed about the books, he led them to his outer room.
Thus, they waited in the receiving room and had light conversation as they waited for their meal.
Knock. Knock.
"Your Majesty, dinner is ready," they heard Alfredo say.
"Finally!" Arabella beamed at the thought of food.
All the meetings they had had made her hungry,
Ferdinand smiled and ruffled her hair before he said to Alfredo, "You may come in."
Alfredo entered with a food trolley and served it on their table.
Everything smelled delicious, so Arabella eagerly ate once Alfredo had left.
