Chapter 791: Chapter 791: Steps They Followed

Norbert just raised a question everyone wanted to ask but hesitated to do so in fear of being judged they did not want to go due to personal reasons.

"Well done on raising that question," Arabella praised.

Norbert was unsure of how to respond at suddenly getting praised after simply asking a question he wanted to be answered.

However, he concluded that gratitude was the always the best response when complimented by royalty. Thus, he said, "I am honored by your praise, Your Majesty."

[I thought of that too which was why I haven’t agreed yet! He just beat me to it!] Denzel pouted.

[I was thinking of asking the same thing but I hesitated for a second. I should have just asked.] Felix regretted not peaking first.

[I thought of that too! My maids always take care of me. How can I even help in taking care of someone else?] Narcissa thought as well.

They regretted not asking since if they did, they would have been the one getting praised instead.

"There is a process we follow all the time when Prudencians are rescued and brought to the Magic Tower. The tasks you’ll have will be among these steps," Arabella began.

Her assistants gulped and listened attentively as she discussed.

"First, they would be brought into a hall where they are healed by magicians and treated by doctors and their shackles and collars are removed. The magicians and knights usually take care of this."

This was the first step to ensure they could save the lives of those who are injured or weakened too much from everything they experienced from their masters.

"Second, those who regain enough strength after getting healed and treated are brought to a bath."

It was important to cleanse them first before anything else as long as they had the strength to move to ensure they do not get ill or spread illness to their family in Prudencia once they return.

"Commoners bathe by themselves so they do not need assistance of any sort as long as they are provided all they would need. They usually do not require help here," Arabella clarified.

She knew that her assistants feared having to do these tasks since they usually required assistance from their maids and butlers when bathing.

Arabella knew that as well so she would not put them here even if they asked. They might get in the way instead of helping.

When necessary, the maids and butlers of lower rank in the palace will be the ones helping here since they know what to do and would be of much help here.

"However, even after healing, there may be those who remain ill or unable to move. They will be transferred to another room for more care from mages or doctors and will be cleansed and bathed by magicians, knights, maids, and butlers with prior experience to these tasks."

Her assistants were surprised that knights and magicians would take on tasks like these but they figured it was because of the lack of maids and butlers when there were too many people to help.

"Third, after they are cleansed and treated, they will be served a warm meal and given time to rest and sleep. Only my five handmaids would be here and rest would be knights so I will probably assign most of you in this step," Arabella continued.

Her assistants were glad it wasn’t something too difficult.

That’s what they thought though since they have not since the look on the rescued Prudencians’ faces upon seeing a proper meal.

"Fourth, after they have gotten enough rest or sleep, they will be interviewed on which family they belong to in Prudencia so their return to their families could be processed."

This may seem like the easiest step among the rest but it wasn’t.

The rescued Prudencians were mostly heavily traumatized and it was hard to make them speak.

Thus, this task was usually assigned to people from Prudencia themselves so that the rescued ones could let their guard down and speak without fear.

"Lastly, their overall health will be monitored. They would not be allowed to return to Prudencia yet until we are sure they have recuperated enough. Thus, they will keep having follow up sessions with doctors and magicians before they are allowed to go home even if they are already healthy," Arabella concluded.

Due to the trauma from their experiences, they would have to stay in the Magic Tower from days to weeks or even longer until they fully recovered not just physically but also mentally.

"These steps are strictly followed to ensure that the Prudencians who had been waiting for their family members to return home will not be devastated to see the terrible condition their family members had gone through in Crux," Arabella added.

At least, with these steps, the waiting Prudencians would only hear it as stories and not see their family members in a horrible state.

After all, there are those who had lost parts of their body and were heavily traumatized. They took more time to heal and recuperate.

In cases of body parts being lost, only Alwin, Zion, or Riley could heal them and make their body parts grow back thanks to their immense mana despite the limiters on them.

Or potions like the ones Ferdinand had given Nadia’s brother. However, those were usually reserved for emergency situations when their magicians had run out of mana.

The said potions were extremely rare and were even thought of as simple myths in most parts of Eliora though.

"Do you have any more questions before I assign your tasks?" Arabella inquired.

"None, Your Majesty," they replied in unison.

"Since Odette had been helping ever since the Prudencians began to be rescued, she could be assigned in any of the steps except for the first one. However, for now, she will be assigned in the second and fourth step," Arabella began delegating their task.

Odette had been helping their rescued people so she was already experienced in these tasks.
