Chapter 586: I Missed You
Alwin used the chance well and left with Alvis. He left all the explanations to her.
But Arabella would do the explanations later.
For now, she just wanted to be Ferdinand’s wife who waited for almost three months to see him again.
Arabella gazed into his eyes that were locked onto hers.
How she missed these green orbs following her every move. They were back to being circular since he was in his human body. His irises earlier in his original body were elongated and wild since he had just been in a duel.
But his eyes right now gazed at her tenderly.
She cupped Ferdinand’s face and caressed his cheeks with her thumbs.
She enjoyed the feeling of his skin and the warmth it gave her.
His eyes looked so beautiful as they focused solely on her.
She hugged him tight and buried her face in his chest. His heart was beating loudly.
[She’s so adorable. She kissed me even with other people around earlier. And now she’s hugging me like this.]
Ferdinand was delighted by Arabella’s actions.
"I missed you," she said in a barely audible voice but he heard it.
"I missed you too," Ferdinand wrapped her tighter in his arms and kissed her forehead.
Arabella closed her eyes and reveled in it.
It felt so nice and warmed her heart. She had been longing for his presence and affection these past months.
"Hold me tighter," she whispered.
[How much more adorable could she be?]
Ferdinand smiled and obediently did, "Like this?"
"More. Tighter. To the point that it’s as if you are crushing me. Even if it’s hard to breathe," Arabella added.
She missed his super tight hugs and wanted one even tighter this time.
"What?! No way. What if you get hurt?" Ferdinand frowned.
[Her skin is sensitive. She easily gets marks. And what if I held her too tight it hurt her?]
But Arabella didn’t care about that right now.
"Just do it," she was impatient. Eager to feel it again after so long.
"A-alright," Ferdinand complied, not wanting to irritate her.
He wrapped his arms around her until their bodies were tightly pressed against each other. He eyed her while doing so, ensuring she was not in pain.
’It feels so warm.’
But she still wanted more.
"A bit more," Arabella wanted to feel him hold her tighter even if it hurt.
Maybe, because she could tell, he seemed like he did not miss her as much as she thought.
If he did, she wouldn’t have had to ask him to hold her tighter.
His hug would have been so tight before he knew it and he would be apologizing right now for almost suffocating her.
[Did she miss me this much?
[Or did something happen?
[Why is she acting like this?
[I mean, I love it, but what if I end up breaking a bone from holding her too tightly?
[And her soft body is already pressed too tightly against mine.
[I want to bring her to my room already.]
"Arabella, any more than and I might take you to bed instead," Ferdinand’s ears turned red as he grew conscious of the pressure of her curves against his body.
’This bastard! He doesn’t return for so long and thinks he can just do me as usual!’ Arabella glared at her husband.
[S-she’s angry?!]
"I’m sorry. I was just kidding," Ferdinand was surprised by her angry glare and decided it would be better to do as he was told for now. "Please tell me when to stop."
But Arabella didn’t say anything even when his embrace tightened so much it hurt.
She enjoyed it instead since she knew that was how he was supposed to hold her if he missed her as much as he missed him.
Ferdinand stopped on his own fearing she would get hurt.
[Wait! Why can I feel her bones more easily?!] Ferdinand frowned and eyed her.
"You lost a lot of weight," Ferdinand’s brows further furrowed at the realization.
"How can I not?" Arabella replied sarcastically, wanting to annoy him a bit because he did not miss her as much as she thought.
[She’s angry for some reason. Did I do something wrong? Or does this actually hurt? Should I loosen it?]
"Don’t," Arabella warned and tightened her arms around him. She wanted to be in his tight embrace a bit longer. "I want to stay like this a bit more."
[So, she’s angry at me but she missed me?]
"Yes, of course," Ferdinand smiled.
She gave him a glare since he looked so full of himself, but he kissed her forehead instead.
He was delighted that even if she was angry, missing him got the best of her so she still wanted to be in his arms instead of ignoring him like she did last time.
"Arabella, what did I do? Can you tell me why my wife is pouty today?" Ferdinand asked in a gentle voice other people would never expect from him.
[Did she hear I attacked the Shadow Territory? She did tell me to do things amicably as much as possible but I got so furious when I heard they imprisoned Alwin and inflicted him with a curse.]
Ferdinand was far off. She wasn’t angry about that since there were no casualties.
Meaning, he held back and ensured to hit somewhere there were no inhabitants.
"Do you know how long you were gone?" Arabella glared at her husband again.
’He said he missed me but it’s clear he doesn’t know just how long he was fighting with his fellow primordial.’
"Wasn’t it just a few days? A week at most?" Ferdinand said innocently and Arabella bit her lower lip in frustration.
’See?! No wonder he didn’t miss me as much as I missed him. He thought it was just a few days!’
She closed her eyes and took several deep breaths, so she wouldn’t blow up on him.
’It wasn’t his fault. It wasn’t his fault,’ she chanted in her mind repeatedly, so she wouldn’t get too annoyed when they finally met after so long.
She was still frustrated though and needed to do something to let out all the emotions fighting inside her. And his chest was right in front of her.
