"Congratulations on your engagement!" Arabella clapped her hands.

’I must prepare a gift for them before they depart.’

Just in time, Alwin finally returned.

"His Excellency has signed it," Alwin showed the signed document. He replicated it into four copies. One each for Arabella, Evania, Raymond, and the Magic Tower.

[Why do they look so happy?] He noticed that Darcus and Orpheus had smiles on their faces and looked somewhat smug when they glanced at him.

"They just got engaged," Arabella beamed.

"Who among them?" Alwin glanced at the three to know whom to congratulate but he noticed that Evania was wearing two rings, and both the males were smiling.

"The three of them have decided to get married as is," Arabella explained since Evania was embarrassed to explain it to Alwin. "Evania will have two husbands."

[Huh?! Is that even allowed in Umbra? Well, not that it’s my problem. This means Evania won’t bother me now.] He was rather relieved.

"I see. Congratulations on getting engaged," Alwin greeted the three.

[Huwahh! I was truly beyond his notice. Look at that reaction on his face.] Evania wished Alwin could have been a bit disappointed.

[Tsk. He could have acted a bit saddened that someone who was once his avid admirer was getting married. And not just to one man but to two.]

[Can’t he pretend to be hurt? Evania looks disappointed that Alwin was completely unaffected.]

Darcus and Orpheus glared at Alwin again.

[What’s wrong with them? Shouldn’t I have congratulated them? Were they not that happy since Evania would marry them both?] Alwin did not get it.

"Alright, since the document is signed, you may go leave as soon as you are ready. But of course, you need to say your goodbyes to Renee’s family as we have planned before. You remember the plan, right?" Arabella diverted the topic.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

"Alright. I’ll summon all my maids so you can also say goodbye to them," Arabella had Aletha, Eunice, Irene, and Carla summoned.

Darcus and Orpheus made themselves invisible.

Alwin went to the balcony and also made himself invisible.

"Your Majesty, what are we supposed to do?" Irene wondered since all of them were gathered.

"I have an announcement to make," Arabella began. "From today onwards, Renee will no longer be with us. She had submitted her resignation and I accepted since she found something she wanted to do."

"Eh? So suddenly? Did someone make you cry?" Irene got teary-eyed.

[We were just happily speaking about His Eminence’s return a few days ago. Why is she suddenly leaving? This can’t be. Maybe someone bullied her?!]

"No, not at all," Evania responded. She was quite surprised and touched to see Irene getting teary-eyed even though they fought quite a lot.

"Did we offend you in any way? Do you not like working with us?" Eunice thought that maybe it was the reason Renee was leaving.

[She had been acting strange the past few days as if she was worried about something. I thought it was because she hadn’t been able to see His Eminence for a while. Or did she get into a fight with someone? Maybe with Irene or Carla?]

Eunice thought there may have been a fight since the three were usually the ones who debated intensely when dressing up Arabella.

"Eh? No, that’s not it either. No one offended me. I like working with everyone, but I realized there was something else I wanted to do," Evania explained.

"Really? Did you not say you loved being by Her Majesty’s side the most?" Aletha also wondered why Renee would suddenly leave.

[She was always eager to be the one serving Her Majesty. Did something happen?

[Having one of her maids resign could negatively affect Her Majesty’s image. People could think she might have a bad personality in person, or she was too overbearing which was why Renee was leaving.]

Aletha was already thinking about the consequences.

Arabella had already considered those which was why they had planned for Renee to resign on her own due to a goal she had decided.

It was so Arabella would not be blamed for Renee’s resignation and anything else she did after that.

People would still have all sorts of speculations though. But that was why they had to show this was a peaceful parting with no hard feelings.

"I do. I love working for Her Majesty. But there is something I must do," Evania acted sullen.

[Right. I won’t be able to see Her Majesty’s beauty anymore once I go home. Alwin as well. I’m not even sure I would be allowed to return here.]

"What is it you want to do? Is it that important?" Carla held "Renee’s" hand and Darcus and Orpheus were instantly on alert.

[Is this why she hadn’t been around the past few days?]

"After we went to Medeus, I saw a lot of beautiful and rare things. Everyone was so different in their ornaments, clothing, culture, and even their features. There are so many beautiful things out there that I haven’t seen yet, and I wanted to see them all," Evania reasoned.

They knew she had always been particular when it came to beautiful things.

"But don’t you get to see beautiful things while serving Her Majesty?" Aletha pointed out.

"Yes, I do. But I won’t be able to wander around as I please if I remain here. I want to see for myself where they come from.

"There are also so many different cultures and I became interested in studying them closely.

"I have decided to travel from one place to another to experience and see for myself the beauty and allure of various kingdoms," Evania spoke with shining eyes as if she truly would do so.

"That would take years," Irene pointed out.

"Yes, that’s why I am resigning from my post."

They had a ton more questions before finally relenting after they realized that Renee was determined.

"I see. If that’s what you really want to do, then we won’t stop you. I hope you achieve your goals.

"Always be careful on your travels.

"Do not get fooled by every beautiful face you see. Not everyone is as kind and generous as Her Majesty.

"There are those who may have impure thoughts about you. Always remember you are a lady," Aletha gave warnings and hugged Renee.

Darcus and Orpheus were wary, but they realized this was an emotional parting even for Evania since she had been with these people for months.
