"I know. I understand. Just please come back safely," Arabella smiled.

Ferdinand hugged her and gave her another kiss, noticing she was worried.

"I will. Since I will head there using a gate from here, I will use my original body. I won’t die even if I receive all sorts of attacks, so you don’t have to worry," Ferdinand tried to assure her.

It was a relief that he would go using his almost indestructible dragon body, but his latter statement got her worried.

"Don’t jinx it. What attacks are you talking about? Are you saying they would dare attack primordial dragons there even though you are respected here in Estrella?" Arabella frowned.

"They won’t if they value their lives. But monsters will attack everyone and anyone. They won’t be enough for a warmup so it’s alright. I’m much stronger in my original body," Ferdinand was overconfident in his fighting abilities once again.

"Right," Arabella didn’t dare debate it.

"There is also another Primordial Dragon staying there. He will be my guide if I need to."

"I see. Then, you may go. I pray you find Alwin as soon as possible," Arabella gave her approval.

"Thank you for understanding. I will return as soon as I can. While I’m gone, please stay here. Riley will keep bringing the work here, so you don’t have to go to Valeria," Ferdinand didn’t want to risk her getting approached or abducted by the magicians.

"But what if you end up staying in Umbra for months?" Arabella inquired because of her dream.

Ferdinand turned silent at that. He didn’t want her to go back to Valeria yet when he was not around. But he knew that he may indeed end up not returning for months just as Alwin’s one-week to a-month timeline had turned to two months and he wasn’t back yet.

"It will be bad for both of our image and for both of us not to be present. They need to see us in the palace or rumors will begin to circulate that something bad may have happened to the both of us. The other kingdoms will see it as an opportunity to do something," Arabella reminded.

Riley, Zion, or Rowan may be able to pretend as Ferdinand.

But who would pretend to be Arabella?

Blanca?

No, it was too dangerous. With Blanca still new to the social norms, she might accidentally say or do things that were considered rude.

Arabella hadn’t seen any female magician here who could pretend as her.

Likewise, they cannot just go and pretend to be the Empress if they are not used to the human realm and its customs.

It would be dangerous for her image and reputation. She might end up getting hated by the people before she knew it.

She needed to be there for her assistants too. She cannot let them continue working on their own when they had just begun working a few months ago.

Ivan, Aletha, and Eunice would get healthier thanks to their stay here due to the mana-rich environment, but they cannot stay for too long either due to the restrictions.

Ronald would be fine since he’s a half-blood.

Arabella would be fine as well since she was Ferdinand’s mate. But the other three with her would not. Exposure to too much mana could also be dangerous for them in the long run.

No one was using too much mana now since Ferdinand had given his warning. But what if there was a situation that demanded it?

"I will return as soon as possible. If I don’t sense his presence even after heading there and do not find him easily, I will return every week or every month to check on things here."

"But what if you are unable to return as scheduled?"

"Only if I cannot visit for more than a month will you head to Valeria without me," Ferdinand had no choice but to allow her to go. "But remember that Rendell, Riley, and Rowan have to follow you around all the time."

"Alright."

With that resolved, they focused on lovemaking since they might not be able to see each other for a while.

In the morning, Ferdinand went to see Elrond and he returned with a smile on his face, so Arabella knew the result.

Elrond was the Celestial Dragon and the firstborn among the Primordial Dragons. He was also the King and Overseer of Estrella.

"Elrond agreed since he was also wondering why he suddenly could not feel Alwin’s presence," Ferdinand informed her.

After all, Alwin was a talent that even Elrond wanted to work for him so he could not allow him to die in a foreign place either.

Thus, Ferdinand was allowed to go to Umbra.

Arabella was still worried but there was no helping it.

Ferdinand then headed to Valeria with Raymond to give briefings to the elders, the ministers, and the knights. He ensured that the security in Valeria was tighter than ever so the magicians from Fynnia would not be able to enter.

It will not be revealed that Ferdinand was heading somewhere far away, but he needed to have a word with everyone to ensure Valeria would be alright.

Raymond volunteered to be the one to head to Umbra but Ferdinand contradicted since Clarisse was pregnant. Raymond apparently needed to give Clarisse and the baby some of his mana at least once a week especially since her pregnancy was sensitive compared to the previous ones.

Thus, Ferdinand truly has to be the one to go.

Arabella, meanwhile, remained in Estrella and worked with Ivan, Ronald, and Rowan.

She wasn’t feeling so cheerful, so she intended to work separately but she felt bad for Ronald and Ivan who were feeling tense when they were only working with Rowan.

They had been like that ever since Ferdinand and Rowan worked all night last time.

Arabella also informed Ivan and Ronald about how she resolved the matter with Narcissa in the meantime.

"I am ever grateful for your immediate action, Your Majesty," Ivan bowed his head.

[Thank goodness Her Majesty doesn’t allow that kind of bullying. I thought I had to suffer like that again when we returned to the palace.] Ivan was relieved.

"Lift your head. I was merely doing my duty as your superior. I should have ensured something like that didn’t happen in the first place," Arabella smiled.

[It wasn’t Her Majesty’s fault but Narcissa’s. Who would expect she was the one who would do something like that? Hopefully, none of that will happen again. My hard work seems to have finally paid off. I finally have a superior like this. I hope Her Majesty remains like this.]
