"Oh, but once we are back in Riva, we can’t do it that much. My body won’t be able to take it. If we do it too much there, I would end up sleeping all day. I don’t want to be called a lazy Empress, so I must work too," Arabella clarified.

[Oh, that means we have to do it as much as we can here.] Ferdinand had a mischievous plan.

She had no qualms about that. It was better to do it a lot here while Ferdinand could heal her. They would slow down once they were back in Riva.

"Right, of course. And I won’t allow anyone to call you lazy," he said with such a serious expression. He planned to punish anyone who dares to say such a thing.

"Thank you," Arabella smiled. It’s nice to know she had her husband on her side.

"You don’t have to thank me. I’m your husband. It’s my duty to protect you. I won’t allow people to slander you. Especially when you are already working so hard even though you were just crowned a few months ago. Please don’t overdo it," Ferdinand kissed the back of her hands.

He was worried again.

"I won’t. I will rest when I want to. Moreover, doing my role as the Empress is also part of my duty as your wife, so it’s alright. I can manage the workload."

[It’s truly my fault.] Ferdinand sighed. But even if it was, he was not willing to let her go.

"Hmm. Partly, I guess," Arabella ruffled his hair.

’But it’s also because I don’t want a repeat of the past. His enemies were already plotting against him even when I wasn’t doing anything. They would surely do it again in this life.’

"You are too kind. You can just say it was. I know that much."

But she knew he would surely sulk if she did.

"Yes, of course. Let’s do our best for a good future together," Ferdinand finally smiled. "I wish the day would come when we could just retire here in Estrella so you can just relax.]

"That will be in the future. I still have a lot I want to do in the human realm so please wait patiently."

"Yes, of course."

"More importantly, what about you, Ferdinand? You are yet to tell me how you felt about last night," she also needed to know if she satisfied him at all.

"I was mighty satisfied too! I loved everything about it. You were so amazing and mind-blowing. And lovely and sensual. And ..." Ferdinand gave her pecks and rained her with too many praises.

[I wish we could do it just like that every single day.]

"I was satisfied, but of course, I need a lot more of you later," he quickly added to show his intention for the night.

"Now, I wonder if I satisfied you at all," Arabella giggled.

"You did. But I will always long for more of you," Ferdinand kissed her.

"Alright. But that’s for later," Arabella cut the kiss before it turns into something else.

She then took a bath with Aletha’s assistance. Aletha was brought to Estrella again to assist her, but she still did not know where this was. She assumed it was a vacation house.

After helping her bathe and dress up, Aletha was sent back.

"Then shall we have a meal? You must be hungry after everything," Ferdinand offered his hand and Arabella gladly took it.

They were holding hands instead of the formal escort they usually had when they were in Medeus or Valeria.

Arabella realized she preferred holding hands like this. Her husband thought so too.

Ferdinand covered her eyes with a soft ribbon and teleported them somewhere. He didn’t make her walk since everything here was huge.

It would take time to walk there, and he feared she might collapse from hunger and exhaustion since she hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday.

Arabella understood why he covered her eyes when he finally let her see where they were.

"Oh my! When did you have the time to prepare this?" Arabella gasped.

They were in a beautifully landscaped flower garden that she hadn’t seen before. She didn’t recognize the flowers, but they were all so pretty.

Ferdinand had prepared a date for them. They would have their meal outdoors.

"This was supposed to be for yesterday before we begin doing things," Ferdinand’s ears turned red since he was the one who couldn’t wait which was why they ended up doing it right away.

’How sweet. He actually prepared a date for us, but we jumped to doing naughty things,’ Arabella giggled.

"These are for you," Ferdinand handed her a bouquet of flowers from the garden.

"Thank you! They are so pretty," Arabella caressed the flowers gently. They had a sweet fragrance too.

"These flowers only grow here in Estrella. They mean eternal love and commitment," Ferdinand had red ears despite trying to look calm and collected as he said it.

’Oh my. Is this a pledge?!’

Humans usually promised this to each other. But for Ferdinand who had such an awfully long lifespan, this meant so much since they would indeed be together for a long, long time.

He was promising to love her and stay committed to her eternally.

Who knew her husband could be this sweet?

He even searched for flowers to express what he wanted to tell her. He used to just get any flower recommended by Raymond, or what he noticed that she seemed to like, without knowing what they meant.

"Arabella, I don’t how much longer my life is, but I swear to love and cherish you for the rest of my life," Ferdinand cupped her cheeks and gazed at her with warm and gentle eyes.

"Thank you, Ferdinand. I will too," she gave him a hug and a peck on the cheek.

[I’m so happy that I feel like I’m floating.]

"I am the one who is most grateful from the bottom of my heart that you chose to accept becoming my mate and living with me here someday. The marking is officially complete now that we consummated. Even if you regret it someday, you cannot run away me now."

"I had no plan to run away," Arabella giggled.

Ferdinand kissed her on the lips and smiled contentedly.

Once Ferdinand gave a signal, Alfredo arrived to serve them food and Arabella realized how hungry she was.

She felt so happy and relaxed that she ate much more than usual.

Her husband was delighted by it but at the same time, thought that maybe, he should lessen the number of times they do it so she wouldn’t be too exhausted.
