Arabella also attended four more events with Raymond and maximized them for socialization and building connections as she got to meet more nobles from the other ruling houses in Valeria.

As her main guard, Rendell could have been Arabella’s date on those events if Raymond was not available. However, Clarisse was not feeling well to attend the said events so Raymond escorted Arabella the whole time.

Thus, instead of Clarisse, it was Raymond who helped her build connections with the nobles. Arabella was very much grateful for his help. Both in this life and in the past, Raymond had been a great help to her.

And since Clarisse’s pregnancy was more sensitive than her previous ones, Arabella was the one who visited their residence.

Clarisse indeed didn’t look well. She lost a lot of weight since she throws up most of what she eats. Sometimes she also didn’t want to eat most of the foods served to her.

Arabella brought fruits and tea from Lobelius which she had made Alwin and Aletha retrieve. Clarisse loved the fruits but said she might not drink the tea since she was pregnant.

However, Clarisse was overwhelmed when she learned that the tea varieties Arabella gave her were all safe for pregnant women.

"I knew you would not be able to drink the usual teas you like so I asked for these from Lobelius. These are herbal teas and are safe for pregnant women. Even my mother used to drink these when she was pregnant with my younger siblings."

Arabella explained that those tea varieties were specially made for pregnant women. It was developed because a lot of women in Lobelius who were so used to drinking tea had withdrawal symptoms when they suddenly stopped it due to pregnancy.

Moreover, Lobelius was proud of their tea so they wanted everyone to be able to drink it whatever their situation was so various kinds were made. The population of pregnant women not buying tea was also a great loss.

"Thank you! I can finally drink tea again. I had been craving a warm cup of tea," Clarisse instantly asked one of the maids to brew some of the tea for her.

Arabella could understand since she had withdrawal symptoms when she was pregnant with Fermin. Tea was part of her daily life and all of a sudden, she could not drink one because teas safe for pregnant women were not available in the Empire.

Now that she thought about it, this could be a good business here in Valeria. There are already merchants that wanted to trade with Lobelius. If there was one among them interested in importing tea and selling it in the Empire, a lot of women would surely patronize it.

Arabella saved it as a plan for later. She would grab the chance once the opportunity strikes.

Clarisse enjoyed her tea and loved its taste and smell. Clarisse liked it so much that she even suggested that they exchange teas every now and then.

Clarisse would supply her with Venus tea while Arabella would supply the former with herbal teas from Lobelius.

It was a great deal so Arabella easily agreed. She learned from Clarisse’s thoughts that she was informed of Arabella and Ferdinand’s situation.

[I hope His Majesty would soon be honest with her. It does take so much courage and resolve to reveal something that would sound so unbelievable to us humans. I hope Her Majesty would not be as horrified as I was and accept His Majesty much easier than I did with Raymond.]

Arabella learned that it was also a great challenge for Clarisse to accept Raymond.

When Clarisse learned the truth about Raymond’s identity, she wanted to break up with him.

The God of Dragons was worshipped and prayed to in Valeria but Ryvaleh was once an independent territory. It wasn’t a part of Valeria before so dragons were just monsters to them before they joined the Empire.

Likewise, praying to the God of Dragons doesn’t mean Clarisse would not be horrified to suddenly be in a relationship with a dragon.

Even if the first Emperor was said to be a dragon in the founding myths, the dragons were thought to have gone extinct. He was the last one.

Thus, suddenly finding her lover was a dragon was so much of a shock to Clarisse. She wondered if she should bow to Raymond and worship him since that was what everyone in Valeria does to any statue of the First Emperor.

Dragons were akin to gods to some Valerians, after all. It was one of the things that was hard to accept for conquered territories.

However, with Raymond’s gentle explanation and patience, Clarisse learned and understood the existence of dragons. Still, she became very careful once she was in Raymond’s presence and it took some time before Raymond was able to convince her they could just treat each other the way they usually did.

Through Alwin’s thoughts when he came to pick up Arabella and return her to the palace, she also learned another important thing.

In the previous life, Clarisse was not aware of Raymond’s real identity until they had children.

But in this life, Clarisse was told the truth before she conceived a child with Raymond.

It was because a rule in Estrella had apparently been changed in this life which allowed Raymond to be honest with Clarisse before he impregnated her.

Alwin thought that this was one of the most major changes in this life.

Arabella realized it must be one of the reasons Ferdinand was not able to tell her the truth. She wanted to learn more about it but Alwin left soon after he teleported her. She was left hanging, pondering about it.

She decided to distract herself so she went to her office and did more work instead until she was too exhausted to think.

When she retired for the night, she fell asleep soundly.

But in the middle of the night, she felt like someone entered her room.

Arabella felt someone hold her hand. Still feeling so sleepy, she opened her eyes and thought she saw Ferdinand.

"What are you doing here?" she asked in a sleepy voice.

But she didn’t hear his reply as she fell asleep again. When she woke up in the morning, Ferdinand wasn’t in her room.
