"How about we go for a walk? A family walk?" Li Qiang asked as he could sense her bad mood. He did not want her to return home with a bellyful of anger. It won’t be good for her, so he could only ask the both of them to go for a walk.

"Do not bother, let’s head home," Xin Yan replied in a tired voice. She did not want to go for a walk as she felt exhausted, she just wanted to rest on her bed and fall asleep.

Tomorrow will be a long day for her as she will be visiting the site. There were many issues she needed to attend to.

They had already gotten the materials, and she needed to supervise them to prevent them from using substandard materials.

She also needed to convince her brother to take over. Seeing Jiang Lanfen and Yuan Renshu serve as a wake-up call for her, she was already relaxing.

This was not what she planned when life gave her another chance. If she did not take her revenge over the people who ruined her life in her previous life, she felt as though she had wasted the second chance.

Li Qiang fixed his eyes on her, and he seemed to understand what was going on in her mind. That was how much he knew her.

"Alright, we will return home," he agreed with her and the family left for their homes.

Meanwhile, Yuan Renshu who had pulled Jiang Lanfen with him was not having it easy.

"Let me go, I have not taught her a lesson, and you are pulling me away," she yelled hysterically and when Yuan Renshu was sure that they were not within the restaurant’s vicinity, he let go of her.

She let out a scoff before rubbing the place which he had held on to her. Her eyes suddenly turned red as she noticed the bruise which had already appeared on her skin, and she glared at him with a complaining look in her eyes.

"I am sorry," he walked to her as he tried to hold her, but she stepped back, while staring at him warily. She was well aware of the fact that he had temper issues.

"Why did you not let me speak, Xin Yan put you in jail and I needed to teach her a lesson, but you pulled me out before I could even begin, were you scared of Li Qiang?" Jiang Lanfen asked questions after questions without stopping.

"It is not about being scared, we cannot afford to offend Li Qiang at this point, from what I know, it seems he likes her," Yuan Renshu subconsciously clenched his fists as he recalled the time he and Li Qiang discussed, it was the day he knew he was about to be kicked out of the company.

He could not forget that day. The expression Li Qiang had on his while he spoke about Xin Yan will forever be etched in his brains. It was an expression he was very familiar with.

"What do we do now? We still have to take the company away from her, we have to destroy her," Jiang Lanfen only had thoughts on how she could bring Xin Yan down.

Yuan Renshu looked at her and he frowned. He did not know what was going on in that head of hers. It was not possible to take Xin Yan’s company away from her, she was backed by Li Qiang and the Lis, he would be digging a hole for himself if he tried that.

She was now ten times smarter than she was previously. She even has Li Qiang’s backing, how would they do it?

Even Jiang Zhengzhou had to tread carefully in the presence of Li Qiang. Only Jiang Lanfen had crazy ideas. He shook his head helplessly, at the end of the day, he could not still hate her, or rather, he was not willing to replace her yet as she was still useful.

"We cannot take Xin Yan’s company away from her?" He whispered it to her, and she looked at him, with her eyebrows raised.

"Are you sure you are aware as to what you just uttered? What do you mean you cannot take the company from them? What happened to our plans?" She asked while she scoffed.

Actually, she had an idea or two about what went wrong. Immediately, Xin Yan threw Yuan Renshu out of the company and into the prison, she knew all the plans would go wrong from there.

But she still held on to a bit of hope. Her father and husband were in this. They were the strongest and smartest people she knew, they could do something, or was that not the case?

Jiang Lanfen looked at Yuan Renshu’s downcast expression, and she knew things would not be good for her.

"If we want to survive, we will have to tread carefully among them, and not do anything that could put us in the spotlight, this was the outcome of dad’s and I discussion after I had been released from jail," Yuan Renshu let out a frustrated sigh.

For the umpteenth time, he wondered what Xin Yan had been through which caused her to have such a drastic change.

Jiang Lanfen nodded, but she was unwilling. She would give everything just to see Xin Yan at the bottom.

She gave a look as though she had understood what was going on, but she had something planned already. She tagged it as her plan B.

If she did not retaliate, then she was not fit to be called Jiang Lanfen.

"Let us head home, it is not good for us to stay out this late, the weather is cool," he said, and she nodded, showing she had agreed.

They both walked to their car, but Jiang Lanfen was absentminded. She was thinking of ways she could use to teach Xin Yan a lesson.

"What is wrong? You look so lost, what is going on in your mind?" Yuan Renshu asked while they were in the car.

"It is nothing, I just thought about how our plans went down the drain, it is frustrating, and very unexpected, but what can we do?" She let out an exasperated sigh.

"Do not think too much about it, let’s not bother with Xin Yan or anything that has to do with her, this is for our good, at least we can still have a normal life if we steer clear away from their path, just as she had asked us to do," Yuan Renshu said a lot and though she nodded, seemingly agreeing to him, well in actual fact, she had plans of her own.

She was not going to take it lying, she must pay Xin Yan back, even if it hurt her.
