"Qiang, you cannot kick me out of the company; what would your late father think?" Manager Feng screamed in outrage.

He quickly forgot about his guilt over stealing the money after hearing Li Qiang’s verdict.

"What do you think my father would have done if he had faced a similar situation? Li Qiang sneered, "Manager Feng, you greatly overestimate yourself.

"I believe you have amassed a huge wealth that will last you and your family a lifetime, and the one you stole should be returned within two weeks, along with your resignation letter explaining why you are resigning."

Manager Feng stared at Li Qiang with wide-open eyes. He finally understood why he was referred to as a devil. Li Qiang intended to humiliate him.

"Do not push your luck; at the end of the day, I am your elder," Manager Feng warned, hoping to deter him with seniority.

But who exactly was Li Qiang? Would he allow others to point fingers at him?

"The last person who attempted to use seniority to trap me is currently in a faraway place, never to return, so I suggest Manager Feng do as I say," Li Qiang’s lips curled slightly.

"Get out, do not force me to call security," Li Qiang’s voice became increasingly cold as he stared the man directly in the eyes, warning him.

"We will see," Manager Feng said timidly before leaving the office.

"After stealing money, he still has the guts to stand there and act righteous, that is plain foolish," Gao Yang was present throughout the room and it took everything in him not to go over and thrash him.

"He is bold because of the person behind him; it appears that the person has given him enough courage to act in this manner," Li Qiang said thoughtfully, searching through his memory.

He was looking for someone who could attempt to infiltrate his company through Manager Feng.

"President, do you suspect this is a conspiracy?" Gao Yang grimaced. Only the President could think that far, as was to be expected.

"Hmm, I sent him out of the company to lure the person out; it is not a good idea to have too many hidden enemies," Li Qiang tapped the table in thought.

Gao Yang was afraid to breathe too loudly in front of him because he might disturb the President’s thoughts.

"Find out every detail about my enemies; I need it on my table tomorrow morning, but for now, I have some investigating to do," Li Qiang stood up with a grin.

All Gao Yang could do was shake his head. It would not go well for the person Li Qiang was about to investigate, or rather torture.

Li Qiang may appear unconcerned about the large sum of money, but the betrayal hurt him deeply, and the anger he felt was going to be directed toward the person he was about to investigate.

It was ten in the morning. Xin Yan sat in the cafe, patiently waiting for the person she was supposed to meet.

She gave a small chuckle. She had been forced to wait in her previous life as well. She did not think much of it at the time, but now she thinks she is too stupid.

As she took a sip of her coffee, she could not help but laugh at her foolishness in the past. She could have arrived later, but Xin Yan was a person who kept track of time.

Aside from that, she wanted to get it over with because she had other appointments.

Her brow furrowed as she spotted the familiar face.

"Xin Yan," Jiang Lanfen exclaimed, her brow furrowing instinctively.

Jiang Lanfen turned pale when she heard her words. She instinctively grabbed her flat tummy before hurriedly sitting in the chair.

"Xin Yan, I will get right to the point; I want you to release Yuan Renshu," Jiang Lanfen said bluntly, but Xin Yan chuckled.

"Do I look like the police? You have to meet with the police if you want your dear husband to be released, I think you have it all mixed up, I am not a police officer," Xin Yan laughed loudly, drawing attention to them, which Jiang Lanfen was not prepared for.

"That is enough, you can mock me and my lack of education later; I am not like someone who attended a prestigious university," Jiang Lanfen said bitterly, looking at Xin Yan with jealousy.

It was true that Xin Yan graduated from the top university with the highest grade point average, and at such a young age. Jiang Lanfen had only graduated from high school and was not as well educated as Xin Yan.

"How is it my fault that I graduated from a prestigious university with distinction and Miss Jiang could not even get into the university? You should think twice before saying anything because I am not responsible for Miss Jiang’s lack of knowledge," Xin Yan warned, her eyes turning chilly as she stared at the ignorant lady.

Jiang Lanfen sucked in. Xin Yan’s aura was too much for her to handle, and as much as she hated to admit it, she was still terrified of her.

"Now speak up, I do not have all day, and I am very busy," Xin Yan was about to snap in rage.

"I want you to speak with the officers; you are the only one who can persuade them to release Yuan Renshu on bail; please do so because of your previous feelings for him," Jiang Lanfen changed her words this time around. She did not want Xin Yan to make fun of her.

"Pftt," but Xin Yan was a different breed; she laughed at her words.

Jiang Lanfen’s expression changed as she wondered what had caused her to laugh again.
