Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Race II

As the cars drove off, cheers occurred from the crowd.

Xin Yi and Fu Ji were equal in some areas, such as speed and precision.

But this is not the only factor required for winning. Other factors such as calculation, keen eyesight, the ability to make swift decisions, and all these were Fu Ji’s weaknesses. Xin Yi was top in these aspects.

"Damn, it seems Xin Yi had improved from his last match, his speed, and turns are quite precise," one of the fans commented with a sigh.

"You must be blind, ever since Xin Yi left, Fu Ji has been constantly racing, clearly, Fu Ji is the one with the improvement here," another fan retorted.

An uproar broke between the fans of Xin Yi and Fu Ji as they argued about who was better between both of them. It has always been this way.

From the social media, to being physical, the two sides were always ready to lock horns if they found each other on the road.

Meanwhile, on the racetrack, Fu Ji was slowly losing the momentum he had when they started out.

He was surprised by the skills which Xin Yi had displayed, especially for someone who had his He was surprised, and with each turn, he slowly fell behind.

His forehead was covered with a sheen of fine sweat as he tried to catch up with Xin Yi on the racetrack.

"Darn it!" He cursed as he barely managed to make a turn. His car skidded a bit, and he was almost thrown off the track.

His fans let out gasps, they realized that he was almost out of the race, as he had barely managed to turn.

The gap between both of their cars was drastically increasing.

Xin Yi was calm as he continued to control his speed. In the game of racing, one should not be too rash, as they would end up making mistakes.

This was what he had learnt, and he had always put it to use. It was this major trait of his that caused him to clinch major championships.

As this was not an official race, he did not have any help from his coach, and he was thrilled with that fact. He could go wild, and not care about the consequences.

They finally reached the last lap, and Xin Yi had been in the lead for the better half of the race. His fans were cheering, while his family could only watch with their hearts in their mouths.

This was the last lap. Zhang Luiying had a bad feeling about it. Fu Ji had not shown any signs of trying to cheat, but this got her worried.

It was better for him to do so. She could only watch with a tense mind, and pray that everything worked out fine.

Xin Yi was about to face the greatest challenge throughout the race. It was time for him to show how smart and how accurate he could be.

The last turn was a very steep one.

Xin Yi had his eyes on it as he stepped on his gas pedal. Everyone was surprised by his decision.

Normally, racers would go for a more lax approach, and slow down. But he went for a more dangerous approach. He had sped up instead.

Fu Ji looked at him, and a smirk appeared on his face.

"It seems he is more than ready to die, why should I bother?" He commented in a relaxed manner as he slowed down.

In his thoughts, if Xin Yi ended up dying, he would rather not be blamed for it.

But they had all underestimated Xin Yi.

Zhang Luiying smiled as she watched him speed up. This was a new approach of his, and she had watched him practice it last night.

"What is he doing?" Zhang Caixuan asked with worry, his question was what was on everybody’s mind.

Li Qiang squinted as he watched the race, and he chuckled.

"I never thought he would be so brazen to bring out this move," he whispered, and Zhang Luiying snapped her head towards him.

"You know about it?" She asked with a frown.

"I taught him, but he is better than I am," Li Qiang replied.

"You raced?" Xin Yan asked with a tilt of her head. This was surprising to her.

"Yes, but I do not do it often," while they were discussing, Xin Yi had just passed the turn smoothly.

An uproar broke out immediately, as Fu Ji looked like he had seen a ghost.

"How the hell did he do that?" He asked himself as he rashly increased his speed.

"What the hell did Brother Yi just display?" Zhi asked as he looked on in shock.

"His biggest trump card," Coach Zhen replied with a bright smile.

Xin Yi smirked as he continued with his pace. He looked at the back, and he smiled, seeing the gap he had given Fu Ji. Fu Ji had no chances of winning again.

Two minutes later, Xin Yi crossed the finish line.

"Yes!" There were shouts of excitement from Xin Yi’s side, while Fu Ji’s side could only remain disappointed.

Once again, Xin Yi had shown his prowess, and crushed Fu Ji.

He exited his racecar with a smile on his face. He looked towards the gallery, and he flashed a smile towards Zhang Luiying who returned the smile with relief.

Fu Ji was still on the racetrack, and with the feeling of loss, he momentarily lost his senses.

He had slowed down a bit when he wanted to make that turn, but now, he had increased his speed with a malicious look in his eyes.

He continued driving, and he aimed not to stop, but to hit Xin Yi.

Zhang Luiying noticed the car, and her eyes widened. She had an idea on what Fu Ji was planning. She was waiting for this, and he truly did not disappoint her.

"Xin Yi, watch out!" She screamed as the car made its way to him.
