Chapter 250: Chapter 250: The Studio (Part 3)
Tang Yue carefully surveyed the studio, which was indeed well-equipped with everything necessary, mostly brand-new and barely used.
"Yueyue, what do you think? If it’s suitable, let’s sign the partnership contract," Qin Anyu eagerly wanted to finalize the matter instantly.
Tang Yue shook her head and said, "Sister An Yu, there are some things I still want to discuss with you."
"Yueyue, go ahead."
Tang Yue thought for a moment and then said, "The space downstairs also looks large, but my capabilities are limited, plus I’m about to enter my senior year of high school. Most importantly, back in the county, my uncle and I also partnered to run a clothing factory, Mingyue Clothing Factory."
"So, you’re the ones behind that? I actually really like the clothes from there," Qin Anyu said, wide-eyed. "Yueyue, I was planning to visit Mingyue Clothing Factory in a few days. I didn’t expect to run into you now."
"Cough." Tang Yue cleared her throat and asked, "You’re not thinking about stocking those clothes here for sale, are you?"
"Uh..." Qin Anyu nodded.
Tang Yue said with a laugh and a sigh, "Those clothes, the most expensive ones are just over a hundred. In such a high-end store, are you sure you want to sell such mainstream clothing?"
Indeed, Mingyue Clothing Factory focused on the middle to low-end market, mass-producing popular styles in huge quantities.
If one were to open a clothing store in Jing City, that wouldn’t necessarily be out of the question. However, setting up shop in Jiangjin would definitely not work.
That’s a joke. Jiangjin is filled with international brands, where the clothes are all high-end and classy. The factory’s clothes would clearly not fit in.
"Hehehe~" Qin Anyu chuckled awkwardly.
Tang Yue said, "Sister An Yu, the location here is actually excellent for selling high-end clothes, but we should keep the quantity low and focus on quality. Also, the most important thing is, what if we did bespoke clothing? Wouldn’t that make more money?"
Tang Yue proposed this when she decided to collaborate with Qin Anyu, having thought of the method of cooperation already.
Given her current circumstances, she had to handle both autumn and winter clothing lines at Mingyue Clothing Factory, and adding clothes from this place would be tiring. Despite having many designs, they would only last so long.
The first-floor clothing store could display a few styles, with the rest being custom-made. Limit the custom orders to ten people per month, for example. Anyone wanting something beyond those ten would have to wait until the next month.
Qin Anyu listened attentively and said, "Yueyue, I have a birthday party to attend tomorrow, and wearing a new outfit would definitely attract customers."
"But, Xiao Yue, can you manage it in one day?"
"Tomorrow afternoon?" asked Tang Yue.
Qin Anyu nodded affirmatively: "Right."
"It’s a bit rushed; I still have to go back today." Tang Yue had sneaked out today and knew Mo Siyu would be angry if she didn’t return. What if Mo Siyu went to the city to find her when she wasn’t home? His leg still hadn’t healed.
"What’s today’s date again?" Qin Anyu suddenly asked, running over to check a calendar. Slapping her forehead, she said, "Oh, look at my memory; it’s not tomorrow afternoon but the afternoon after tomorrow. Yueyue, you have time then, right?"
"Yes," Tang Yue nodded.
After confirming the design with Qin Anyu, Qin Anyu made a phone call, and soon a man in a suit came over. Qin Anyu chuckled and said, "Yueyue, we agreed on the partnership, you can’t back out now."
The man was a lawyer. Qin Anyu instructed him on what contract to draft, and soon the document was ready, clearly written, detailing each party’s responsibilities. Tang Yue only needed to provide design drafts to earn fifty percent of the store’s profits.
Tang Yue looked at the contract placed before her, reflective of how fast Qin Anyu got things done. Moreover, splitting profits evenly when all she had to do was handle the design drafts while Qin Anyu managed all other external matters and the store seemed far too generous.
Furthermore, the contract specified that in Wangjiang County, Qin Anyu would pay for a large studio and furnish it at her own expense.
Tang Yue felt like she was perhaps getting the better deal.
Also, Qin Anyu, trusting so much in those few design drafts and the outfit Tang Yue was wearing—was that not too trusting? What if she could only draw and not actually produce the goods? What was Qin Anyu thinking?
"Yueyue, sign quickly; don’t worry, I definitely won’t cheat you," Qin Anyu said, smiling.
Tang Yue cleared her throat and said, "Sister An Yu, aren’t you worried I might be a scam artist?"
"Not worried at all," Qin Anyu replied, shaking her head. "Yueyue, I have a strong intuition about people."
Silently, Tang Yue amended the contract to say that she would fund half the cost for the Wangjiang County studio.
Qin Anyu, sounding displeased, said, "Yueyue, to find such a great designer as you, you’ve really saved me. So, I’ll fund the studio."
Tang Yue: ...
She had heard of people pushing responsibilities away and not wanting to pay, but not in the way Qin Anyu didn’t want her to contribute to the expenses.
In the end, Qin Anyu forced Tang Yue to sign the contract.
"Sister An Yu, I’ll come over first thing tomorrow morning, though I’ll try to arrive as early as possible," Tang Yue said, unsure of tomorrow’s bus schedule.
"Good," Qin Anyu happily responded. "Where do you live? I can give you a lift."
"No need," Tang Yue declined, thinking it best not to let others know about the bus fleet, and left on the bus. She felt excited; this was her second business venture. If successful, the money she could make in the future would be substantial. Moreover, the sense of accomplishment from seeing others wearing her designs was unparalleled.
She hurried to the arranged spot and boarded the bus back home.

At the bus depot, Mo Siyu had a stern face, clueless about Tang Yue’s whereabouts. With his leg still not healed, he couldn’t go out to find her and could only wait anxiously at the depot.
Qin Anhao said to Mo Siyu, "Siyu, relax. Your future bride is very sharp; nothing will happen to her."
"Of course nothing will happen," Mo Siyu muttered, feeling uneasy. Tang Yue had been in trouble a few times before. Her audacity and attractive appearance—what if someone harbored ill intentions?
