Chapter 138: Discussing a Matter
Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Discussing a Matter
Tang Yue fled the hospital room in a flurry, escaping the hospital itself, and didn’t stop until she reached the big tree outside. It was only under the shade of the tree, as the cool breeze blew, that she slowly felt the hot sensation inside her body dissipate a bit.
She raised her hand to touch her lips, the events that just unfolded in the hospital room happened so fast, she didn’t even know how she lost her balance, or how she ended up plunging into Mo Siyu’s arms, eventually kissing his chest.
Oh Tang Yue, now you’ve totally lost face.
Tang Yue’s face soured as she thought about becoming a better self, to show a better side to Mo Siyu!
But why, whenever she found herself in a sorry state, it was always Mo Siyu she ran into!
Hmm, Mo Siyu’s physique was even better than she imagined. A solid chest that you could tell worked out regularly just with a touch.
Realizing her thoughts had strayed, Tang Yue quickly shook her head, dismissing these messy thoughts from her mind.

"Si Yu, that rascal, doesn’t know how to keep company; he should have finished his meal by now." Mo Xiaolin muttered to herself, figuring that it was about time, she headed to his hospital room.
Mo Siyu was reading the newspaper when the door made a sound. Without looking up, he said, "Mom, how could I have the nerve to hide away at home in peace, making a young girl bring me food?"
"How do you know it’s me?" Mo Xiaolin asked in surprise, as she hadn’t even spoken yet.
Mo Xiaolin smiled and said, "If Mom doesn’t do this, when would the two of you start to develop feelings for each other? Si Yu, how was it, the meal Tang Yue made must have been good, right?"
Mo Xiaolin looked at the empty bowl beside her, her face immediately lit up with joy, "It seems like the food Tang Yue made really suits your taste."
"The braised pork was well made." Mo Siyu complimented, and Mo Xiaolin also liked braised pork, but every time she made it, it either turned out too sweet or too burnt, or just not as tasty as others made it.
"Braised pork?" Mo Xiaolin exclaimed, puzzled, "I didn’t buy pork belly."
"Not the dish you bought?" Mo Siyu raised an eyebrow, thinking that Mo Xiaolin knew he liked pork belly and had specifically asked Tang Yue to make it.
Mo Xiaolin nodded, "I bought the vegetables, but I didn’t buy pork. I thought about stewing chicken today and having braised pork tomorrow, to balance the nutrition a bit more. It’s not right, how can I just take advantage of her? Tomorrow, I’ll give Tang Yue some money."
"Mom, instead of giving her money, you might as well buy something for Xiao Yue." Mo Siyu suggested, mentioning Tang Yue made him talk more than usual.
Mo Xiaolin noticed this and felt even happier in her heart. Her thoughts shifted, indeed, giving more money might not be quite appropriate, it seemed too offish.

After leaving the hospital, Tang Yue went to Mingyue Clothing Store, where Tang Mingli had finished his meal and was currently doing the accounts and checking how many clothes had been sold over the past few days.
"You’re back?" Tang Mingli inquired before lowering his head to look at the ledger again. The business at Mingyue Clothing Store had always been good, plus the girl they hired was lively and cute, her mouth as sweet as if coated in honey; so even without Tang Mingli present, the amount of clothes sold was still quite substantial.
"Uncle." Tang Yue greeted the girl selling clothes, then walked over to see Tang Mingli doing the accounts and asked, "Uncle, do you need to stock up on goods again?"
"Yes, I do need to stock up." Tang Mingli sighed. Although his back injury didn’t hinder normal walking, going to stock up presented some problems.
"In a couple of days, I’ll go make the purchase and then hire someone to move the stock. How about that?" Tang Yue proposed. She had no issue with making the purchase, but moving the goods might be challenging with her small frame.
"Big Bro also has a store to run, otherwise we could have asked him for help." Tang Mingli looked at her petite build with concern and asked, "Can you handle it all by yourself?"
"How could I not?" Tang Yue defiantly retorted, "Uncle, I’ve traveled to the Provincial City so many times already; I won’t get lost. Besides, Sister Jiajia surely knows some people. She can help me find a couple of guys to load the stuff onto the vehicle. When we arrive, I’ll have Dad come and pick me up. Isn’t that workable?"
"That makes sense. Alright, Xiao Yue, this task is up to you," Tang Mingli said decisively. He had been worried about restocking ever since they’d cleared out their inventory, but now Tang Yue had offered a solution, which eased his mind considerably.
"Uncle, I have something to discuss with you." Tang Yue smiled sweetly, lowering her voice considerably.
"What is it?" Tang Mingli paused his work, somewhat unsettled by her ingratiating smile.
Tang Yue cleared her throat and said, "Uncle, tomorrow isn’t it time to deliver Uncle Mo’s meal?"
"Um." Tang Mingli’s eyes roved as he watched her coy demeanor, beginning to grasp what she was getting at.
"Look, I have to deliver meals to you and also to Uncle Mo. Going twice is so inconvenient. If you deliver the meal to Uncle Mo, it’ll be perfect since you’re classmates. Wouldn’t it be more convenient for the two of you to have a meal together?"
Tang Yue analyzed, and seeing that he didn’t respond, she added, "Uncle, think about it. Since graduation, it’s been so hard to meet up, and now there’s this chance to see each other every day. Don’t you think you should cherish this opportunity?"
"That makes a lot of sense," Tang Mingli replied with a growing smile. He had been worried about his grown niece not staying at home, but looking at Tang Yue now, his heart bloomed with joy.
Mo Siyu, Mo Siyu, you too have today.
"Alright, after you pack up tomorrow, bring the meals to the store and watch the shop. I’ll go to the hospital to deliver the food," Tang Mingli agreed readily.
"Uncle, then it’s settled!" Tang Yue hurriedly confirmed, afraid he might change his mind, "A man’s word is his bond, Uncle, you can’t go back on it."
"When have I ever lied to you?" Tang Mingli replied.
Tang Yue left, her joy unmistakable.
In Deng Lanhua’s tailor shop these days, not only were Tang Zhengde and his wife eagerly awaiting their return, but Deng Lanhua herself was as well.
What was the situation at Big Brother Deng Yong’s place?
As soon as Tang Yue entered the shop, Deng Lanhua saw her and excitedly said, "Xiao Yue, you’re back."
"Yes, back," Tang Yue said, her mood excellent, the smile never leaving her face.
Deng Lanhua pulled Tang Yue to the back courtyard’s living room. As soon as they sat down, Tang Yue took the initiative to talk about her business in Shenzhen, deliberately omitting the injury and the sewing machine purchase.
Deng Lanhua, hearing about all the fabric they had bought, couldn’t help but ask, "Xiao Yue, why did you buy so much fabric? How many clothes are you planning to make?"
Tang Yue blinked and replied with a grin, "Sister Deng, you’ll know in a few days."
She intentionally left her hanging because the initial idea was to have Deng Lanhua work in a garment factory. However, this would need to be discussed with her uncle first. Before they had a clear understanding of hiring practices, it was better not to mention it yet.
