Re-Awakening with the Summoner's Class -
Chapter 66: TSC
Chapter 66: TSC
"The overnight flight to Tokyo will launch in 30 minutes. All passengers, please head towards it through gate 3."
The intercom at an airport announced loudly, urging people to slowly make their way there.
After all 30 minutes is a lot of time, so who in their right mind would rush to it right away?
"Quick! We can’t be late!"
Leo ran as fast as he could, he was considering using the Spirit Sword, but, Nyssa forbade him from touching it in public places.
He dodged all of the people on the way while looking for the gate they had to take.
<This way>
Cien pulled him to one of the hallways where a big number 3 was placed, it shone with a green light to signal that it was open.
No one was behind them or ahead of them as they arrived at the entrance of the plane.
"Welcome aboard, you are here rather fast."
The shocked stewardess said while looking at the tired trio.
Leo nodded with a satisfied smile as he hunched over, breathing heavily.
"Did we really have to go that fast?"
Fortuna inquired as he ran for a paper bag, puking into it from pushing himself too far.
Nyssa was also recovering from the turbulence, however, she didn’t complain and instead had a different thing to say.
"At least now, the flight itself won’t be nearly as bad."
Even with that, the gambler was still not satisfied with the way he was treated, but a small chuckle escaped his lisps.
All three of them boarded the plain, choosing the best seats, and waited for the flight to start.
***
While in the air, after resting for a moment, Thomas finally broke the silence created by Nyssa sleeping between them.
"What exactly is my class? And why did you choose me?"
’Oh right, I forgot to explain it to him.’
[Mind Library]
Gambler class, a special noncombat class that allows the user to reroll outcomes of different classes crafting recipes depending on it
He relied on the information straight to him, skipping over the minor things he would unlock with his level since sharing them would be way too suspicious.
After all to them, he was just a normal person with some more information, not a walking encyclopedia.
Then an idea struck him, since they were going to fly for a pretty long time, they had time to start his training since it didn’t rely on fighting monsters.
A bunch of low-level materials fell between them as Leo kept taking them out of his inventory and humming happily.
"What are you doing?"
Leo shushed him while pointing towards the sleeping girl between them, he took out his virtual hammer and struck one of the materials.
[Refining completed]
[1x low level processed monster material(poor)]
Once it was finished, he threw the material to Fortuna and stared at him, waiting for the man to figure out his class on his own.
[Slot Machine]
In front of them both, a small slot machine appeared, a panel with different buttons levitated in the air next to it.
Fortuna pressed the quality button and inserted the processed material inside like it was a slot.
Right after, the whole machine rumbled silently, spinning extremely fast.
The first of the three spinning parts stopped on silver.
Then the 2nd also on silver.
Both of them looked closely at the 3rd one as it began to lose momentum.
By the speed at which it was going, it seemed like it would end up on silver as well.
However, it turned back to bronze.
[You lose :P]
Fortune began to scratch the side of his head while chuckling to himself.
He extended his arm to Leo, urging him to give another piece of refined material.
<You made the right choice by giving it to him>
’Well, it’s only a secret class and I doubt he will tell anyone as long as we keep giving him materials.’
Leo chuckled as he went back to refining the materials, giving anything below the bronze tier to the gambler.
***
"Yaaaawn!"
Nyssa was slowly waking up as the pilot announced they would be arriving in Tokyo shortly.
She looked to her left and right, seeing both of the men chuckling as they kept hammering and gambling away.
"More...give me one more..."
Fortuna chuckled as his hands shook, barely moving toward the slot machine.
Leo tried to take more material out of his inventory, shaking almost as much as Thomas, however that was the last one.
"No way... I’m out of materials..."
Both of them cried out in pain as they realized it was the end of their gambling escapade for now.
With sad expressions on their face, they got off the plane.
Finally, after so long, they were back in Japan.
<So how are the materials looking like?>
Due to being so invested in gambling, Leo completely forgot that they were doing it to process materials.
[Inventory]
[129x low level processed monster material(bronze)]
[35x low tier processed monster material(silver)]
[11x low tier processed monster material(gold)]
[3x low tier processes monster material(diamond)]
They ended up with a nice spread of them, the material themselves was useless for Leo, but their value to the slot machine wasn’t.
"Hey, Tom. What’s your class progression at."
Fortuna looked at him, still as sad as moments before.
"Let me check."
[Slot machine - level beginner]
[Progress: 75%]
He relayed the fact that it stood at 75% to the summoner.
It made him very happy at how fast the progress was moving since it would unlock the most overpowered skill soon.
"I can’t wait to reach your headquarters, for being the 2nd guild in the world it must be massive."
Both of the founding members looked at each other worried, Leo was about to somehow bluff his way out of it but before he could start speaking.
"We don’t have headquarters... yet!"
The worst part was that they didn’t have any real money, just tons of gold.
"Hey look! It’s the SoulCaller guild!"
One of the people around them shouted, putting a giant target on the trio.
A mountain of fans ran towards them, asking for everything.
"How did you get such a class!"
"Can I join!?"
"What’s your level?"
"Are the two of you dating!"
Too many questions at once almost knocked the three of them to the ground.
But all of sudden, a group of men in suits approached them, pushing the civilians away.
"Please head with us, Mr. Leo."
The only one without dark shades said.
His sudden appearance seemed to anger everyone there.
"Not the Tower Safety Committee!"
They tried to object to taking the two stars and their gambling friend away.
However, their needs were ignored by the men in suits as they opened a nearby car’s doors.
"Should we go?"
Nyssa inquired, not too sure of it because of how untrustworthy the people were.
"Not like we have a better choice here."
Leo said, interested himself in what this all was about.
It wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the book about this group’s existence, which piqued his interest.
The two of them got in the car and as Fortuna was about to join, one of the men pushed him away.
"He is with us."
An angry face appeared on Leo’s face as they were about to drive off without his new find.
After making sure that he is allowed to do it by waiting for a nod from the only one without glasses, the well-dressed man lets Thomas in.
In an instant, they drove off at high speeds.
"It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Leo. I’m the head of security of the TSC, I think you already heard what we are called."
The one without shades introduced himself, his hair was short and black, and he looked very professional.
"What would such an organization want from me?"
He inquired, very interested in what they were even doing.
[Mind Library]
In the entirety of the book, there was no mention of anything along those words. Meaning that its creation was caused by the butterfly effect.
Since his arrival in the world, things have gone way differently compared to the original one, meaning some people made different decisions that had different outcomes.
It was something that was at the back of his mind the entire time, however seeing it in person horrified him a little bit, after all, it meant that his Mind Library and all of the knowledge might turn out useless in the future.
But right now was not the time to cry over spilled milk, he had to find out what they wanted and what exactly was their goal from taking him in.
"We want you to work for us... or more create an alliance."
Their request was as strange as the organization itself, but Leo began to put the pieces together.
"Is it related to the riots about people not clearing the gates?"
His abundance of information shocked the man as he looked back at the seats.
"I think we found the right person."
