Re-Awakening with the Summoner's Class
Chapter 65: Let’s go Gambling

Chapter 65: Let’s go Gambling

As soon as Thomas heard that, he fixed his glasses and sat down on a chair nearby, throwing his hands back.

"And why would you need it? I doubt THE Leo Astralis would want to go to a casino with me."

His lack of trust was to be expected, after all a petty thief and gambling addict would only ever talk to other like-minded people.

Luckily he didn’t use his voucher just yet, since that was the most important part of Leo’s plan.

He took a step towards the man in the chair before saying.

"I want you to join our guild."

Thomas almost fell over as he heard that. It was unbelievable to hear that he ran up to the warden.

"Is it some kind of interrogation method?! Is what he is saying true?"

This annoyed the chief again as he took out the handcuffs and pointed at the cell.

"If you want back in, all you have to do is ask."

To make sure he wouldn’t annoy him again, Nyssa signed up the documents needed for them to get out.

"Just watch out for him, he is a slimy bastard."

The warden’s words rang loudly in the girl’s head. It didn’t sit well with her what kind of things they were doing lately, but this was pushing the line so far back that she wasn’t sure if continuing it would be okay.

"Do we really need his help, Leo?"

She twirled her fingers while asking, looking carefully at the gambling addict behind them.

Leo could see how worried she was, so to somehow comfort her, he shouted to Thomas.

"Hey, could you summarize your criminal record?"

It shocked both of them because of how childish this request sounded, however neither of them knew about the ace up his sleeve.

"Hmm... where to start... So when I was a little boy there was this fruit stand..."

The summoner rolled his eyes and sighed while grabbing his head with the palm of his hand.

"Without lying..."

Thomas froze in the middle of his sentence, staring angrily at the summoner to try bluffing his way out of this.

"What do you mean a lie? If you are so smart why don’t you summarize it to her?"

He said while putting his hands in his pockets and trying to look as intimidating as possible.

A slight smirk appeared on Leo’s face as he inhaled as much air as possible.

"7 counts of Public Indecency, 19 counts of Petty Theft, 14 counts of Trespassing, 8 counts of Fraudulent Coin-Flip Betting, 5 counts of Counterfeit Chip Possession, 11 counts of Impersonating a Casino Employee, 6 counts of Theft of Services, 9 counts of Forgery, 12 counts of Smuggling Snacks into Casinos, 16 counts of Overuse of a Fake Mustache, 2 counts of Attempted Bribery of a Slot Machine, 1 count of Filing a False Police Report..."

As he was about to continue, almost running out of breath, Thomas stopped him and hid his face in embarrassment.

"Just stop! Yes, I did all of this!"

Nyssa busted out laughing as she realized what kind of criminal he was, a kind she would only see in cartoons.

She patted the defeated man on the back with a warm slime.

"Maybe you aren’t as bad as I thought you would be."

Leo smiled as he saw that he struck two birds with one stone, destroying Thomas’s confidence, and making sure Nyssa was fine.

While they were walking in the direction of the closest airport, Leo explained to the criminal how the party was structured and what kind of guild they were.

He listened closely, and as the summoner was finishing, he asked intrigued.

"And where do I fit into all of this?"

It was a good sign for him to be interested in that since it meant that there was quite a high chance for him to agree to join them.

"Have you heard about my and Nyssa’s class?"

Even mere mention of their classes piqued his interest, and a few other people around them as they listened closely.

Thomas could see the greed in everyone’s eyes as Leo mentioned it, so he took both of them by hand and ran towards a nearby alley.

"Hey, what are you!"

Leo stopped her, even if he was planning to harm them, there was no way in which he would be able to do that.

Once they were far enough away from the crowd, the man made a gesture with his hand for the summoner to continue speaking.

"So to be straightforward with you, I want you to take one of those special classes and help us."

Nyssa instantly objected.

"I don’t think it’s a good idea, how can we trust him?!"

"Well, I did trust you."

Before she could even have a fair argument, Leo shut her down because of how needed his skills were in what he had planned next.

She pouted and threw her hands in the air.

"Fine, do whatever you want."

To show how pissed she was, she stormed off outside and waited for them with a stern look.

He sighed but continued talking to Thomas.

"Take out your voucher."

The man listened, excited at the idea of getting a class that so many tried to get, AND join the great SoulCaller guild (which Leo exaggerated quite a bit) at once.

"Break it and repeat after me."

Thomas tore it and waited for Leo’s guidance.

"Gambler."

He repeated and waited for a class to appear.

In his mind, an amazing class that would allow him to fight with his card-counting skills appeared, his heart skipped a beat as a message appeared.

[Congratulations on unlocking the noncombat class: Gambler]

"What do you mean noncombat!"

Leo made a silly face while looking at him and shrugged.

"Oh, it seems I forgot to mention that it’s a noncombat..."
