Chapter 172: Chapter 172 I Don’t Want My Wife to Be Too Weak
Lily Turner’s mouth was stuffed with an egg, leaving her unable to speak. She could only glare discontentedly at Easton Holmes, and while glaring, she snorted through her nose.
"Do you think you’re a little pig?"
Easton picked up one of Lily Turner’s hands and put the remaining majority of the egg in it. Before she could react, he quickly turned and left the dining room, heading toward the front door.
"I’m going out to buy breakfast, I’ll be back soon." As he was about to reach the door, he turned back to shout this to her from the dining room.
By the time Lily Turner came out holding the egg, Easton Holmes had already closed the door and left. She wanted to stop him from going out to buy breakfast, but she heard the sound of a car engine starting.
It was too late to stop him, so Lily Turner had no choice but to let Easton go. After finishing the rest of the egg, she went upstairs to her room to wash up and change clothes.
"Lily! I’m back!"
After tidying herself up, Lily Turner came out of her room and started heading downstairs. She had just reached the stairway on the first floor when she heard Easton calling her.
This guy came back so quickly!
Thinking about Easton bringing back breakfast, Lily Turner instinctively quickened her pace down the stairs. By the time she reached the first floor, he was already heading into the dining room.
"Why so fast?"
Lily Turner followed him into the dining room and, upon entering, her eyes immediately fell on the buns and soy milk placed on the dining table.
Hearing the noise behind him, Easton Holmes instinctively turned to look and pointed at the breakfast he just bought, "I got this from the breakfast shop at the gate of the community. You make do with this for now, and after the morning exercise, I’ll get you something from the cafeteria."
"Mr. Holmes! Do you really think I’m a pig?"
Buying so much just to make do, intending to bring more food from the cafeteria later, Lily Turner suddenly remembered the full thermos of lunch from yesterday and sighed helplessly. Such a waste!
Easton Holmes reached out and pulled Lily, who was sighing at him, into his arms, and with the other hand gently pinched her delicate nose, "Mrs. Holmes! You’re too skinny, I need to make sure you eat more, or others might think I’m mistreating my wife."
She’s too skinny; he really worried that a gust of wind might just blow her away.
"Where am I skinny? Your eyes must be having issues." Lily Turner reached out to remove Easton Holmes’ hand from her nose and tried to walk around to the other side of the dining table, only to find her hand still held by him. She struggled to pull her hand back.
Easton then pulled Lily Turner into his embrace and mischievously pinched her waist, "Skin and bones yet not skinny, do you want to become a piece of paper to be considered skinny?"
He forcefully sat her down on the chair next to him, leaned over, and took a bun from the food box to stuff it into her hand, "From now on, eat more and stop deliberately dieting."
Though he had only shared two meals with her, he could tell that she was intentionally dieting, and he had some guesses about why she might be doing it.
"I’m not, um..."
As Lily Turner tilted her head to prepare a retort, Easton Holmes directly stuffed the bun in her hand into her mouth. To prevent her from refusing, he didn’t let go of her bun-holding hand.
"Dieting like this for weight loss is simply self-abuse, your body is your own, not to mention you’d look better with a bit more flesh," Easton Holmes bent over, leaning against her back, and whispered in her ear, "I certainly don’t want my wife too frail; otherwise, I would feel too guilty to even make a move."
