Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Does Me Going Out with You Embarrass You?

This girl is really amusing!

Easton Holmes looked at Lily Turner, who had moved to the side, and couldn’t help but smile, "Return? After knowing you for so long, I just realized you’re a product."

"Easton Holmes! You..."

Hearing the man’s words, Lily was so furious she couldn’t think of how to retort. She pointed at the man sitting not far away, but couldn’t remember what she wanted to say for a while.

"You’ve made enough fuss, it’s time to eat something." Easton got up and sat next to Lily, picked up an egg from the plate, and placed it in her raised hand, "Hurry up and eat so you don’t starve my son."

Lily hadn’t recovered from her earlier anger, and now she was immediately thrown into another surprising frustration, "Son? Who told you I’m having a son?"

This man just blurts out "son;" clearly, he favors boys over girls.

"Regardless of whether it’s a boy or a girl, you can’t let him (or her) go hungry." Easton had just said it casually and didn’t expect Lily to take it seriously. Seeing her angry expression, she must have thought he preferred boys over girls.

Lily rolled her eyes at Easton in dissatisfaction, but thinking it over, she realized he had a point. This time, she didn’t refuse his kindness and withdrew her raised hand to start peeling the egg he had just given her.

Seeing she didn’t put the egg back on the plate, he finally felt assured and began to eat breakfast.

After a ten-kilometer weighted cross-country run in the morning and a round trip to his grandpa’s house, he was already starving.

It could be the habit formed from staying in the military for too long, or perhaps he was just too hungry; Easton ate quickly, making the unaware Lily think he was in a rush.

"You don’t have to bring food back to eat; I can cook for myself." She thought he should eat at the camp canteen, and bringing food back was just because she was at home too.

"I eat very simply and don’t eat much. It’s quite a hassle for you to run back and forth like this."

During these years while Lily lived alone, she had gotten used to taking care of herself, whether it was eating or doing other things, she could handle everything perfectly well on her own.

Hearing Lily’s words, Easton paused in his meal, swallowed the bun in his mouth before speaking, "Today, you just make do with what’s here, and I’ll bring something for you to cook yourself tonight when I come back."

His assumption was that she wanted to cook for herself because she found the canteen food unappetizing, so he made this suggestion.

"I can go to the supermarket myself to buy things, so just focus on your work." Lily, although not a tomboy, wasn’t the type to rely on a man for things she could easily do herself.

Going to the supermarket for shopping was hardly a task for her.

Upon hearing this, Easton’s brow furrowed sharply, "Does going out with me make you lose face?"

He knew that’s not what she meant, but he intentionally twisted her meaning to say this, trying to force her to speak her truth.

"I don’t mean it like that. I just don’t want my presence to affect your work." Seeing Easton’s misunderstanding, Lily hurriedly swallowed the egg in her mouth to explain to him.
