Chapter 522: Chapter 134 Bandaging_1
After speaking, Hanyue stood up and walked toward the Nether River, saying as she walked, "I’ve rested well, I’ll go and gather some more information for you. When there’s news, I’ll come and notify you... and, this place is very safe, don’t go running around."
Qin Shou watched Hanyue’s retreating figure, his heart devoid of the initial anticipation, replaced by much more reluctance. At the same time, he had many questions he wanted to ask, but it was clear Hanyue didn’t want to talk more, so he didn’t pursue further. However, he knew that within the Six Paths of Reincarnation there was the Asura Path, and all beings could reincarnate into Asuras, but Hanyue said that they, upon death, would not enter reincarnation. So, where would they go?
Could it be into a cycle of reincarnation controlled by the Nether River Patriarch himself? To be trapped in an endless cycle, never finding release?
These thoughts flashed through his mind quickly, and watching Mingyue leave, he couldn’t help but call out with a pained heart, "How about I go myself?"
Hanyue glared at Qin Shou and said, "Go ahead and die if you want to. But, I haven’t allowed you to die, so you’d better stay alive for me!"
After speaking, Hanyue continued on her way, "You are the first person to invite me to a meal and to compliment my beauty, I don’t want you to die."
With those words, Hanyue plunged headfirst into the water.
Listening to Hanyue’s words, Qin Shou’s heart felt no joy for having gained a friend; instead, his worry and compassion for Hanyue grew. From her words, Qin Shou could tell that even an Asura, when walking through the Nether River, faced life and death at every step. Hanyue too faced many dangers on her journey...
At the same time, his perception of Hanyue took on a new light; she was innocently charming.
Qin Shou had merely invited her for a meal and paid her a few compliments, and yet she was willing to risk her life for him!
They say that the kindness of a beautiful woman is the hardest to repay, and that was exactly the state Qin Shou found himself in.
Four hours passed, yet Hanyue had not returned.
Instead, an Asura suddenly jumped out of the water, delighted upon discovering Asaru’s corpse, promptly dismembered it and wrapped it up, then casually tossed a chunk into his mouth.
Seeing this scene, Qin Shou felt a chill in his heart, and he began to understand what the dark meat he had eaten before was!
At the same time, his stomach churned tumultuously, and he turned around to vomit...
Two hours went by, and Hanyue still had not returned. Qin Shou was growing increasingly restless, pacing circles on the ground.
Four hours later, Qin Shou was truly anxious.
Just as Qin Shou could no longer wait and thought of rushing into the Nether River, the water exploded, and a figure burst forth, followed by a heavy thud as it landed on the ground.
Qin Shou saw that it was indeed Hanyue!
He rushed down the mountain to her, but before he could speak, Hanyue covered his mouth with her hand and said, "Go up the mountain!"
Without wasting words, Qin Shou carried Hanyue in one leap to the mountaintop, hiding behind a large rock.
Then the waters of the Nether River burst apart again, and two white-haired Asuras emerged, looking around before diving back into the river.
After the white-haired Asuras had left, Hanyue finally let out a long breath and cursed, "Damn it, do they all have noses like dogs!"
Qin Shou said, "Never mind that, what about your wounds?"
Hanyue shook her head, "It’s nothing, I’ll be fine after some rest."
Qin Shou looked at Hanyue’s slender waist; right now, her waist was covered in blood, as if it had been slashed by some sharp instrument, almost cut in half!
But just as Hanyue had said, her wounds were healing rapidly, and in a while, they really would heal on their own.
Still, watching her, Qin Shou felt a pang of pity for the girl who seemed never to have felt the warmth of the world; he conjured up a roll of white bandages.
"What are you doing?" Hanyue asked, puzzled, looking at Qin Shou.
Qin Shou said, "Nothing, your injury looks so painful. Let me bandage it for you."
Hanyue pursed her lips and said, "This is a fart of a wound! No need!"
"I say we need it!" Qin Shou was also getting anxious.
But Hanyue stubbornly retorted, "I say we don’t!"
"I say we do!" Qin Shou stood his ground, for the first time looking at Hanyue with an incredibly formal and stern gaze, not backing down an inch!
Clang!
The curved blade was drawn and placed against Qin Shou’s neck as Hanyue widened her eyes and said, "I’ll say it again, we do not need it!"
Upon seeing these words, Qin Shou immediately got fired up, slapping the curved blade aside, then transforming into a large rabbit over a person tall, embodying three heads and six arms to forcefully pin down Hanyue, and roared, "I say we need it!"
Then, without any regard, Qin Shou just went ahead and started wrapping up Hanyue’s wound.
Hanyue, for some reason furious, said, "You damn rabbit, didn’t you hear me? I said no! Stop it now!"
In the midst of speaking, Hanyue slapped Qin Shou twice, but Qin Shou continued to wrap her wound as if he hadn’t felt a thing.
Seeing this, Hanyue angrily gave Qin Shou a fierce beating, but to no avail—Qin Shou just kept his head down and continued wrapping.
Several times Hanyue grabbed the curved blade, but in the end, she didn’t use it. However, she did make use of rocks and sticks lying around, managing to give Rabbit’s head a good bruising.
And throughout it all, Qin Shou’s hands remained steady and gentle as he wrapped her wound, not forgetting to scold, "You better hold still for me! You’re going to rip the wound open!"
Every time Qin Shou cursed, Hanyue would subconsciously stop hitting him, but then she would start again with even more vigor once she realized what she had done.
Fifteen minutes later, Qin Shou finished the job, retracted his hands, and with satisfaction, looked over his masterpiece and the swaddled-up Hanyue, and chuckled, "Not bad at all!"
Hanyue glared at Qin Shou and said, "Damn rabbit, didn’t you hear me telling you to stop?"
Cocking his head, Qin Shou looked at Hanyue and said, "Did you hear ’I’ speak?"
"So what if I heard?" asked Hanyue.
"So what if you heard?" Qin Shou countered.
Instantly infuriated, Hanyue raised her hand to hit him, but Qin Shou quickly retreated to dodge.
Seeing this made Hanyue burst into laughter, mocking, "You fool, you actually know how to dodge?"
Qin Shou huffed, "You’re the fool! If I hadn’t been wrapping your wound, would you have been able to hit me? Ingrate!"
On hearing this, Hanyue glared fiercely at Qin Shou, about to hurl some insult before she just snorted dismissively and fell silent.
Qin Shou sneered, "Realized you’re in the wrong? Come on, apologize to ’I’ for the wound on my face."
Hanyue didn’t bother with Qin Shou, but instead swung her arm, yanking hard!
Qin Shou yelled, "Crazy woman, what the hell are you doing?"
Rrrrip!
The sound of fabric tearing apart filled the air as Hanyue ripped Qin Shou’s painstakingly wrapped bandage to shreds in an instant!
Qin Shou shouted, "Crazy woman, you..."
But Hanyue ignored Qin Shou, leaped up all of a sudden, twirling around and waving the curved blade twice before turning her head towards Qin Shou and saying, "Shut up! You’re the crazy woman, my wound has healed, can’t I rip it now?"
