Chapter 523: Chapter 135 Clothes_1
Qin Shou fixed his gaze and saw that Hanyue’s slender waist was incomparably smooth, identical to the first time he had seen it! The injuries were indeed healed, and completely at that, without a trace of a scar to be seen!
Seeing this, Qin Shou couldn’t help but exclaim, "Damn, doesn’t your self-healing ability work a bit too fast? C-sections must be a breeze for you!"
Hanyue frowned and asked, "What is a C-section?"
Qin Shou chuckled dryly and said, "Never mind, you wouldn’t understand. Right, do male Asuras not get circumcised? Uh, never mind, don’t answer that, I can imagine. They probably can’t afford circumcision..."
As he said this, a series of images flashed through Qin Shou’s mind, an incredibly ugly Asura going to a hospital for a circumcision, paying the money, and then, with the swing of the doctor’s knife, the problem was solved! And then that Asura came back the next day...
At that thought, Qin Shou laughed.
Hanyue was utterly confused, having no clue what Qin Shou was talking about, but she could guess with her toes that this fellow was definitely not entertaining any good thoughts.
Qin Shou quickly put away his mischievous smile and asked, "By the way, what the heck happened to you? How did you get such a serious injury? And aren’t you King Hanyue? You should be quite powerful, right?"
Hanyue glared at Qin Shou and said, "Isn’t it all because of you?"
Qin Shou looked innocent and said, "How can you blame me?"
Hanyue opened her mouth to speak, "The food you gave me was too strongly flavored. After I ate it and went into the water, a bunch of bastards came smelling it. They demanded me to hand over the food, or they would kill me."
Qin Shou asked, "And then?"
Hanyue snorted, "With my fiery temper, of course, I wouldn’t tolerate it. So, I killed them all!"
Qin Shou was dumbfounded and once again had a profound realization of Hanyue’s violent temperament—truly a model of ’kill first, ask questions later!’ Qin Shou continued to ask, "What happened after that?"
Hanyue said miserably, "After that, more and more people came. I barely fought my way out and made it back. The cut on my body was the result of a sneak attack by the Twin Asura Kings. Otherwise, even if both of their brothers came at me, even if I might not necessarily win, I wouldn’t have lost so miserably. At least, taking one of them down with me would have been no issue."
Qin Shou hurriedly said, "Don’t always think about taking someone with you if you die. Can you change your mindset and think about how to survive, okay?"
Hearing this, Hanyue let out a cold laugh, "Do you know why I didn’t let you bandage me?"
Qin Shou shook his head.
Hanyue’s eyes blazed as she looked at Qin Shou, and after a while, she shook her head and said, "Since you don’t know, then don’t bother asking."
Qin Shou looked aggrieved—he never even asked! It was this woman who brought it up herself...
Hanyue said, "Although I’ve killed a lot of people, I did ask those bastards I killed, and they’ve never heard of the Baldy you mentioned."
Qin Shou’s face fell with disappointment as he sat on the ground, muttering, "Could it be, that guy woke up halfway through and realized he shouldn’t venture into the Nether River, so he rolled back?"
Hanyue said, "Maybe."
A chill wind blew by; Qin Shou shivered and then, seeing Hanyue wearing barely any clothes, he slapped his forehead, grabbed a stone next to him, smacked it, and the stone turned into a piece of clothing. Fearing Hanyue might not keep up with Earth people’s sense of aesthetics, he fashioned an ancient black long dress and handed it to Hanyue, saying, "It’s getting cold, put on some clothes."
Hanyue was taken aback, frowning as she looked at the clothing in Qin Shou’s hand, and said, "How can I wear something so long and dragging?"
Qin Shou asked puzzledly, "What’s wrong with wearing it?"
Hanyue tilted her chin up slightly and said, "This clothing is cumbersome in a fight, it’s not attire, it’s a funeral shroud."
Qin Shou was instantly speechless, but he had to admit Hanyue had a point. But surely you don’t forgo wearing clothes just to be ready for a fight?
Racking his brains, Qin Shou said, "Well... you can wear it when you’re not fighting."
"I’m not cold, why would I wear it?" Hanyue retorted.
Qin Shou was suddenly at a loss for words, but he was quick-witted and immediately grasped the crucial point, laughing, "It looks pretty when you wear it."
Choke!
A curved knife was thrust right next to Qin Shou’s crotch, and Hanyue stared at him icily, asking, "Are you saying I don’t look pretty now?"
Qin Shou almost cried; he realized that talking with women was really fucking exhausting!
He noticed that the generation gap between him and Hanyue was so vast, it definitely surpassed the distance from Earth to the moon. With such a huge gap, he figured there was no way to explain something he thought was obvious or right without a lengthy buildup—it was basically hopeless.
With that thought, Qin Shou’s eyebrows furrowed, then a resolute look flashed in his eyes. He kicked away the curved knife in front of him, held the clothes aloft, and yelled with manly bravado, "Cut the crap, wear it!"
Upon hearing this, Hanyue’s eyebrows stood on end, and she grabbed the curved knife, ready to make a move!
However, Qin Shou didn’t budge an inch, his eyes seriously locked with Hanyue’s!
Their eyes met, neither willing to back down!
One conveyed with a glance: if you don’t back down, I’ll chop you!
The other told Hanyue, "You must wear it, I’m doing this for your own good!"
After a quarter of an hour, both were still statuesque.
After half an hour, they both remained like two statues.
After two hours, they both scoffed at the same time, then one put away the knife and the other put away the clothes, each making a compromise.
But just as Qin Shou was really about to put the clothes into the Black Demon Box, a hand reached out and snatched the clothes away.
Qin Shou, full of pent-up frustration, was about to curse when he looked up and saw that Hanyue was the thief.
Seeing this, Qin Shou’s face finally lit up with a smile, thinking to himself, "Indeed, when dealing with such a fierce woman, a man has to be assertive..."
Hanyue asked, "What are you looking at?"
Qin Shou decisively turned to look at the roaring Nether River below the mountain, while listening to the rustling sound of clothes being put on behind him.
Darkness, wild mountains, a mighty river below, a lone man and a single woman, and the woman changing clothes...
This should have been a very beautiful scene; even Qin Shou had already envisioned the indescribable perfect image in his mind.
However, a series of ill-timed noises completely shattered that image in an instant.
He could only hear continuous sounds from behind: Hm?
Hmm!
Hm?—Hmph!
Damn!
Especially that damn, which totally smashed all imagery to pieces.
After a while, just as Qin Shou was about to lose his patience, a piece of clothing was slapped onto Qin Shou’s head, accompanied by Hanyue’s huffy complaint: "What the hell is this, I can’t put it on! Not wearing it!"
Qin Shou hurriedly pulled the clothing off his head and turned around to see Hanyue had just managed to re-tie that thick rope...
Qin Shou cursed himself silently, thinking he was an idiot. Why didn’t he turn around sooner?
