Chapter 205: Chapter 204: Rabbit and Dog [Ask for Monthly Ticket and Subscription]_1

Looking at the other female immortals by the gate, Qin Shou didn’t feel much, but when he glanced at Chang’e again, he suddenly understood what was meant by "unsurpassed grace and charm" and "a natural beauty that stands out from the crowd!"

Chang’e’s beauty merged with and matched the beauty of nature! This wasn’t just surface-level beauty but a unique charm that radiated from within!

Her beauty was fresh and ethereal, transcending the mundane world...

From the perspective of an immortal, Chang’e’s beauty was close to the Dao, a perfect elucidation of the path to beauty! It was as if the Dao of beauty between heaven and earth had perfectly merged into her being... Such beauty was unattainable for others unless they also had some insight into the Dao of beauty. Otherwise, they stood no chance.

"Such a perfect girl... tsk tsk... is mine! Haha..." Qin Shou felt immensely pleased with himself.

It was then that Chang’e said, "Yu’er, that’s Yuying Pavilion inside. There are rules: no man is to enter. Are you going to wait for me here, or go away and stroll around?"

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou, not quite willing to give in, said, "The rule states that ’men’ cannot enter. I am but a rabbit..."

"No male, no matter the species, is allowed," Chang’e asserted.

Qin Shou helplessly stuck out his rabbit head, watching the fluttering fairies inside the pavilion, and reluctantly mumbled, "I was actually planning to go in and sell my clothes to make a fortune. Well, then, never mind, I won’t go in."

Chang’e smiled and said, "You know... if everyone needs them, I’ll help you drum up business. But I’ll need a commission, okay?"

Qin Shou was indifferent, saying, "What’s mine is yours, isn’t it? You can have it all!"

Chang’e smiled, stepped forward in her high heels like a queen, and entered Yuying Pavilion.

As Chang’e appeared, the fairies turned their heads one after another, then looked on in astonishment at her attire...

Soon, excited screams from the fairies came from within...

"What unique clothes!"

"Sister Chang’e, where did you get this dress?"

"Sister Chang’e, this outfit suits you so well!"

...

Listening to these exclamations, Qin Shou chuckled to himself, considering whether there was a patent system in Heavenly Court. If there was, he should apply for a patent and then make money by selling clothes.

After all, earning a woman’s money tends to be somewhat easier...

Qin Shou casually asked someone for directions to leave, and soon he was out of the Heavenly Palace and into the outer city, buzzing as always with a constant stream of immortals and demons.

Just as Qin Shou was pondering what to do, a shout suddenly came from nearby: "A rabbit!"

Turning his head, Qin Shou saw a large Black Dog wriggling out of the crowd—it was Dog Xiaotian, whom he hadn’t seen for a long time.

Seeing Dog Xiaotian reminded Qin Shou of the incomplete and haphazardly modified "Ride the Cloud, Drive the Mist" technique the dog had taught him—almost got him killed!

Although Qin Shou had framed Dog Xiaotian more than once in the past, seeing the dog’s chubby, glossy, and shiny appearance, it seemed like he was living a pretty comfortable life.

Given how much time had passed, Qin Shou didn’t feel like settling scores with Dog Xiaotian anymore; after all, they were still on good terms.

Waving his paws, Qin Shou said, "Black, how come you’re here?"

"My master Erlang God is visiting a friend, and I had nothing to do, so I came out for a stroll. Didn’t expect to bump into you. Where are you headed?" asked Dog Xiaotian.

Qin Shou shook his head, "Just loafing around, nothing special."

Dog Xiaotian smacked his lips and said, "I’ve got nothing to do either, why don’t we take a stroll together?"

Qin Shou nodded.

And so, a dog and a rabbit began to wander the streets.

"Black, do you know where I can buy a cultivation method?" Qin Shou pondered, having at least thirty thousand Red Spirit Crystals on him—he reckoned he could afford some good stuff.

Since he couldn’t steal a cultivation technique, he might as well buy an existing one.

Dog Xiaotian shook his head and said, "The Heavenly Court prohibits the trading of cultivation methods."

"Isn’t there a black market?" Qin Shou asked.

Dog Xiaotian laughed. "This is the Heavenly Court, where Thousand-mile Eyes and Wind-accompanying Ear stand watch every day. Who would dare run a black market?"

Speaking of which, Dog Xiaotian asked, "Why do you ask? You want to buy a cultivation method for practice? What level are you after?"

Qin Shou thought about it—he had no foundation whatsoever. He simply said, "Let’s start with the most basic one. Just like an ordinary person who has just begun to cultivate..."

Dog Xiaotian replied, "Pull Qi into the body? If it’s that kind of Foundation Establishment method, they are all over the streets. You can just buy one anywhere; there are plenty of sellers."

Qin Shou’s eyes lit up upon hearing this. "Do you have one?"

Dog Xiaotian chuckled. "Of course, I do, but Rabbit, my method was tailor-made for me by Erlang God. It is suited only for my practice. It won’t fit you..."

"Tailor-made? Then how about having an Immortal Master create a method just for me?" Qin Shou was tempted.

Dog Xiaotian said, "I suppose I could speak on your behalf, but don’t get your hopes up. Even if it’s just a Foundation Establishment method, creating a tailor-made one is no joke. Even if Erlang God himself does it, it would take seven to eight hundred years to modify."

Qin Shou exclaimed in shock, "That long?"

Dog Xiaotian gave him a disdainful look. "The path of cultivation is full of hurdles and unpredictability; it’s not something that can just be whipped up in no time. You think it’s cabbage? Especially the Foundation Establishment technique; it’s like the foundation of a skyscraper—any little flaw, and that person is ruined!"

Hearing that, Qin Shou was dumbfounded. In his previous life, he had read novels where protagonists with a little ability would modify cultivation methods or create new ones left and right, and those methods would be incredibly powerful... How come here, even Erlang God struggled to create a basic cultivation method?

A thousand years? That’s too long. Qin Shou doubted he would live to see that day before kicking the bucket.

So Qin Shou asked, "Could you ask your master if there’s any way to expedite the process?"

Dog Xiaotian gave him a glance and said, "If you want to die earlier, I could get you a cultivation method by tomorrow, how about that?"

Qin Shou smacked his lips and said, "Really, there’s no other way? If not, I guess I’ll just pick a random method and make do with it."

"Make do with it? Like I said, the Foundation Establishment method is like the foundation of a skyscraper—the more solid it is, the higher the achievement you can reach. If you cultivate some trash method, you can probably forget about becoming an Immortal in this lifetime. There are so many cultivators in the Earthly Immortal Realm, with innumerable methods, but Erlang God has said that ninety-nine percent of those methods are trash!

Otherwise, the rate of becoming an Immortal wouldn’t be so low, with just a few every seven to eight hundred years," Dog Xiaotian said.

Qin Shou understood that, but he was truly in a hurry...

He knew his own situation; without strength, he would be trapped between the moon and the Heavenly Court, unable to go out and find more information about himself, nor the way to break the deadlock inside his body.

If he insisted on going out, considering the dangers outside, he probably hadn’t even reached the Lower Realm before someone would throw him in a pot and stew him...

Seeing Qin Shou with a face full of worries, Dog Xiaotian thought for a moment, then suddenly lowered his voice and leaned in, saying, "There might not be a complete lack of ways."
