Chapter 244 Frustration

Chapter 244: Chapter 244 Frustration

When An Yin received Ms. An’s call, she had just finished class.

After she finished the call, Jiang Keke curiously asked, "You look happy, who were you talking to?"

"My mom’s here." An Yin quickly packed up her books.

"No wonder, you should hurry then, leave your backpack with me." Jiang Keke suggested.

An Yin didn’t think twice, "Okay."

"Let’s go together." Jiang Keke had already packed her backpack, stood up, and made her way to the aisle, waiting for An Yin.

"You’re not staying in the dorm tonight?" An Yin looked puzzled.

"Didn’t our class win a prize for the dance at the New Year’s Eve party? Bao Cheng said we should celebrate, so I’m staying at his place tonight." Jiang Keke said this with a hint of guilt.

Although she moved back into the dorm, she had been staying at Bao Cheng’s apartment these days.

"Oh." An Yin nodded, showing no opinion on it, recalling that on the night of the party, she went backstage to find Jiang Keke, only to find she had already left, and her messages went unanswered until the next day when Jiang Keke replied saying Bao Cheng picked her up.

Backpacks on their shoulders, the two of them left the classroom.

Jiang Keke looked up at the overcast sky and pouted, complaining, "Looks like it’s going to rain heavily."

An Yin agreed, "Let’s hurry."

"Okay." Jiang Keke resignedly said.

They went down the stairs one after the other.

As they left the teaching building, it started to drizzle, so they quickened their pace.

An Yin was in the middle of her period, so running fast made her stomach ache a little, but thinking of Ms. An waiting outside the school for her, she ignored the pain.

Almost reaching the school gate, Jiang Keke urged, "Here, give me your backpack, I’ll bring it tomorrow."

An Yin handed it over to her.

Jiang Keke took it, "Bao Cheng’s car is parked outside, where are you and your mom going, should I ask Bao Cheng to give you a ride?"

"No need, hurry up or we’ll be drenched." An Yin smiled.

Jiang Keke didn’t insist and quickly headed to where Bao Cheng was after leaving the school gate.

Watching their car drive away, An Yin took out her phone and called Ms. An.

The call was answered after just one ring, "You’re out?"

"Yeah, where are you?" An Yin stood by the roadside, looking around for Ms. An.

"At the bus stop, sheltering from the rain." An Ying’s voice was gentle.

Upon hearing this, An Yin hung up and ran toward the bus stop.

An Ying stood next to the bus stop, students passing by couldn’t help but glance at her graceful figure and stunning looks.

"Mom!" An Yin arrived beside An Ying, panting heavily.

"Slow down." An Ying looked up, seeing her daughter’s head covered in a thin layer of raindrops, she reached out to wipe them away.

An Yin stood still, letting Ms. An gently brush her head.

"Haven’t eaten yet, right? Let’s get on the bus and find a place for dinner." An Ying noticed a bus approaching from afar and suggested.

"Okay." An Yin agreed obediently.

After scanning to get on the bus and paying, the two moved to the back. At this time, students were most populous, and the bus was packed.

Standing, An Yin held Ms. An’s hand, murmuring near her ear, "We should have taken a cab." She worried that Ms. An didn’t like the crowded bus.

"It’s fine." An Ying could see that her daughter was concerned for her.

As the bus reached the city center, most people got off, including An Yin and her mother.

To their disappointment, a heavy downpour began to fall.

Initially, they planned to take shelter at the bus stop, but seeing that the rain wouldn’t stop anytime soon, An Ying and her daughter made a dash for the nearest mall.

When they entered through the mall doors, both their clothes and hair were wet.

An Ying looked at the directory of the Mall Building and found the hotel was on the nineteenth floor, "Let’s take a shower at the hotel first."

"Achoo..."

Before An Ying could finish speaking, An Yin started sneezing continuously with her mouth covered.

Seeing this, a worried look appeared on An Ying’s calm face, "Hurry to the elevator." She urged.

An Yin obediently followed beside Ms. An.

Many had come to the mall to escape the rain, as the elevator opened, without waiting for people to exit, everyone crowded in, An Ying and her daughter were too slight to compete.

Seeing the elevator filled up, the two could only wait for the next one.

An Ying glanced around, noticing all four elevators were ascending, the mall was tall, so the wait would be long.

At the very end was an elevator labeled "Exclusive Elevator," even its appearance seemed unique, An Ying withdrew her gaze, knowing only extraordinary individuals could use such an elevator.

"Achoo..." An Yin sniffled, another sneeze escaped, luckily she covered her mouth to avoid discontent from others.

Soon, a crowd gathered around waiting for the elevator.

"Look at that guy, so handsome!"

"Looks familiar, like I’ve seen him somewhere before?"

"Could he be a celebrity?"

Soon, people started whispering among themselves.

An Ying’s attention remained on her daughter, especially upon seeing her daughter’s wet hair; her concern was obvious.

Lin Yue, surrounded by people, approached the elevator. Dressed sharply in a suit, he stood at the forefront, having already sensed numerous gazes in his direction, yet he remained indifferent.

"Young Master Lin, please go ahead!" The man standing behind him saw the elevator doors slowly opening and respectfully reminded him.

As Lin Yue stepped forward with one foot about to enter, a slender figure caught his peripheral vision, mainly because the girl’s face was so striking it couldn’t be ignored.

Is it her?

The girl who was with Shen Jingrou last time?

What’s her name again? At that time, all his attention was on Shen Jingrou, naturally he neglected the girl.

"Hold on." Lin Yue’s words put those behind him on alert.

"Young Master Lin, any instructions?" The man asked, trembling with fear.

Lin Yue ignored the man, withdrew his foot, and looked towards An Yin’s position, "That..." as he couldn’t recall her name for a moment, Lin Yue called out awkwardly.

The crowd around the ordinary elevator turned their attention to Lin Yue, except for the oblivious An Ying and her daughter.

Lin Yue frowned at this, striding over to An Yin, "Weren’t you going to use the elevator? Come with me."

His tone wasn’t friendly, and even a bit impatient, An Ying reacted first, noticing his gaze on her daughter, she nudged An Yin, "Do you know this person?"

An Yin finally turned, seeing the man, a look of puzzlement crossed her eyes as if she didn’t recognize him at all.

Lin Yue noticed her expression, feeling frustrated for the first time, as if a girl completely forgot about him after seeing him once.
