Chapter 144 A Crazy Woman
Chapter 144: Chapter 144 A Crazy Woman
Mark felt a frightening chill run down his spine upon hearing her, but the next second, he clenched his fist tightly and gritted his teeth in anger.
He was scared by a lot of things, but none of them included a woman. He wasn’t scared of them and never believed he would.
So the realization that he had been scared for a brief moment by the crazy look in her eyes bruised his ego so much.
"What? What did you just say?"
Kelsie forced on a smile.
"And here I thought this was the best school in Silicone Valley."
Bang!
He slammed his clenched fist on the principal’s table and pointed a shaky finger at her nose.
"Hold your tongue right now, you insolent woman!"
"Insolent?" Kelsie’s repeated with a cold snort, eyes clouding over. "Don’t be quick to call me insolent when I haven’t done anything yet."
Mark stared at her for several seconds
Seething in rage, before he sneered, "What? You plan to do something?"
"Do you have no idea who you are? That you’re able to afford the school fees here doesn’t make you on par with any of the parents whose children go here."
"So if you wish to sue the school because I disciplined your bad-mannered son, go ahead and do so. In the end, you’ll be the only one crawling on your knees begging us to let you off the hook."
The principal clenched her jaw tightly and hurriedly tried to dispel Kelsie’s anger by saying, "Ms. Sutton, please don’t take his words to heart. Mr. Davidson has a short fuse and says whatever he feels like in the heat of the moment."
"I’m also at fault here for what happened to your son yesterday. Now that I’ve been made aware of the situation, the school will thoroughly investigate what happened and punish Mr. Davidson to the fullest. I assure you."
Kelsie raised her eyes to meet hers, the urge to scoff loudly gnawing at her throat.
Had it been two minutes ago, she would’ve taken the principal’s words for it. But after seeing how Mark Davidson belittled her, only a fool would accept to leave this matter in her hands.
Not only were her hands tied from correcting Mark’s foul attitude, she was also forced to condone the things he did all because his brother was the vice counselor.
She unhurriedly lowered her crossed leg to the floor, glancing at the guitar bag she had brought with her.
The principal’s eyes naturally followed hers, her brows creasing slightly in surprise when she saw it was a guitar bag.
"Oh, you must play the guitar. I’ve heard people of your profession are extremely busy. I apologize that something like this had to happen."
Mark folded his arms across his chest and huffed in contempt, "Of course. What happened to studying medicine and surgery or something related to computer? Women always choose the easy away out."
"If you play a mere instrument, how then are you able to afford your child’s school fees? It’s clear you must’ve resorted to some underhanded method to make that possible."
Just like she had been doing, the principal grimaced slightly, rebuking him in a soft voice, "It’s not easy to learn how to play instruments, Mr. Davidson."
Mark raised his hand, taking out dirts from underneath his nails as he frowned.
"I don’t remember asking you what you think of her profession. Also, why do you keep talking down to me? You still remember I’m the assistant principal, don’t you?"
"Don’t talk down to me. It’s annoying. Has your position gotten to your head or something?"
The principal’s body trembled in anger at his words, but she gulped down whatever retort she had to say while Kelsie kept looking down at the guitar bag.
She really didn’t want to do this, but Mark Davidson was leaving her with no choice.
Three seconds later, Mark got on his feet and turned to Kelsie sternly.
"Well, I suppose you’re doing well. Instead of throwing unnecessary tantrums, tell your son to do better and not butt in when his elders are speaking."
"Are you a freelance guitarist? Right. You must be. Judging from your dressing, you don’t look like someone stable enough to keep a job."
"I have a class to teach and look after. Since this is all, I’ll be leaving now. Don’t forget to teach your son better or you’ll be coming back here the next time he acts out."
He had just turned around to leave when Kelsie picked up the bag and unzipped it.
"Mr. Davidson, I’m aware you used a wooden rod on my son. By any chance, did they look like any of these?"
The man halted and turned around, his eyes dimming when he saw the content of the bag.
The principal was startled seeing dozens of rods inside the bag.
So it wasn’t a guitar inside. Instead, she had packed rods of different sizes and length inside. But for what reason?
The man suddenly smiled and inched closer to her to inspect the rods.
"What? Did you bring these to flog me? You must want to return the favor. I now realize how wrong I was about you. You’re not only prone to your emotions, you’re delusional."
He paused and nudged her head back with his index finger several times before he continued.
"You fool. Do you think I won’t dare to hit you simply because you’re a woman? It’s self defense, you idiot."
"If I harm you in the process, I can always argue it was self-defense. The police will side with me knowing it’s not my fault you’re a woman who doesn’t know your place."
There was silence in the room for over five seconds before Kelsie’s lips curled into a frightening smile.
"You’re one crazy woman, aren’t you?" Suddenly realizing there was no getting through her, he hissed and tried to leave, but she grabbed him by the arm and said sincerely.
"I like you, Mr. Davidson."
"I know you’re crazy, but if you don’t let go of me this instant, I’ll be glad to show you I can also be crazy!" Mark hissed impatiently, the smile on her face sending another frightening chill down his spine.
It was at this moment that the door to the office was pushed open.
Shortly after, Jett walked in with three men trailing behind him.
"Sorry I’m late."
