Chapter 130: Chapter 130 I Think I Have A Son

A minute later, he was standing in front of the door, pressing the doorbell.

Several seconds later, no anyone answered the door.

So he turned around and got into the elevator again. This time, he went to the reception downstairs.

The sight of a child walking through the premises was common, but the serious frown on Jesse’s face as he walked through the reception looking for Jett sparked the interest of so many people.

While many gushed at how handsome he was, some thought he looked familiar.

The boy ignored them all and stopped in the middle of the reception, searching the place with his eyes until they landed on the man he was looking for, leisurely standing outside the apartment building.

Aware of how short he was, he hurried towards the door, scurrying through it when an adult pushed it open to leave.

Jett was going through a sales report on his phone when he felt a kick on his ankle.

He winced slightly, promptly lowering his eyes to see who it was.

When he saw it was a kid, he impatiently pursed his lips and waved him off.

"Hey, kid, I’m a person not a wall. If you wish to vent, go somewhere else."

He had just turned his eyes to his phone again when he felt a stronger kick on his leg.

He grimaced painfully and stared down at the kid sternly.

"It’s obvious this is not a mistake. What do you think you’re doing being hostile to a stranger?"

Jesse clenched his jaw tightly and tried to hit him again, but this time, the man reached over and held down his arm.

"I’ve never met you before, so why hit me?"

"You’re shameless, Mr. Adler!" To his surprise. Jesse furiously lashed out at him.

All these while, he had his eyes lowered to the ground as he seethed.

Seeing that the kid knew him, Jett didn’t know when he chuckled.

"You know me? How do you know me, kid?"

Jesse finally raised his eyes to look him in the eyes, spitting out angrily, "You shameless man, stay away from my mommy!"

Jett naturally froze at the sight of the miniature version of himself staring him in the eyes.

This kid looked exactly like him. From the face to the eyes. Even his foul temper wasn’t left out.

"If I see you anywhere near my mommy again, I’ll hack into your bank account!" While he was still stunned, Jesse snorted and wiggled his body until Jett absentmindedly dropped him.

He quickly realized his mistake and tried to pick him up again when a familiar voice came up from the parking lot, giving Jesse the opportunity to run off.

"Mr. Adler, forgive me, I didn’t mean to keep you waiting, but the people at the showroom were just putting on the finishing touches on the two cars."

Eric walked to stand in front of him, but noticing he had his eyes pinned on the entrance of the apartment building, he thought the worst.

"Is anything the matter? Do you think the door is of inferior quality or just want it to be changed as soon as possible?"

"Eric?" Jett called out slowly.

"Yes, sir?"

"Did you see a kid run away from me?"

"What? A kid?" Eric repeatedly, subconsciously glancing around before he shook his head in refusal.

"I didn’t, sir. Most of the kids in the apartment building should still be in school or inside their apartments doing their homework. Is there a kid you want me to find?"

Jett suddenly pressed two fingers against his temple, brows furrowing slightly. f\r(e)ewe.b no\vel.com

"I thought I was hallucinating Ms. Sutton earlier today. Did she say it’s possible I would be hallucinating later on?"

Eric thought for a moment before shaking his head again.

"I don’t remember her saying anything like that. I’ve taken care of the activities on your schedule. I’ll take you to the hospital if you still feel unwell."

Jett didn’t refuse and voluntarily got into the car.

A brain scan was necessary. He had always lived a life of abstinence. So how could he have a kid who was a miniature version of himself.

His grandfather was right. He wasn’t getting any younger.

"My personal phone... was there any message or call from my grandparents?"

"None. It seems Haven Medical Center hasn’t told them yet." Eric answered, his eyes pinned on the road.

"That is good." Jett hummed softly, throwing his eyes outside the car window.

Thirty minutes later, the car pulled to a halt in front of Haven Medical Center.

While Eric drove around to park the car properly, Jett got out and walked to speak with the nurse at the reception.

"I’m one of Dr. Sutton’s patients, is it possible to see her?"

The nurse had her eyes pinned on the screen of the computer as she typed down something on it.

"Sir, do you have an appointment with her?"

The man was silent for a moment before he smiled awkwardly. "People do that?"

At the ridiculousness of that question, the nurse paused to look at him.

Seeing his fancy suit and expensive watch, she instantly understood.

A rich scion.

No wonder he didn’t know the order of things. His family’s name always opened doors for him without him needing to lift a finger.

She pressed her lips into a thin line, resisting the urge to scoff as she politely said, "My apologies, sir, but I’d need you to book an appointment with..."

A surprised gasp from someone made her stop talking.

"Aren’t you my team leader’s boyfriend?"

Jett and the nurse raised their eyes towards the direction of the voice only to see a woman in a sport outfit.

While the nurse instantly recognized her as the person Kelsie had just come in with, Jett didn’t recognize her at all.

Seeing this, Zoe Derruci smiled softly.

"Don’t you remember me? You and team leader saved me from those thugs in Darki."

He finally remembered.

"Oh, you were the one."

Zoe nodded in affirmation and turned to the confused nurse, chuckling, "No need for him to book an appointment, he’s Dr. Sutton’s boyfriend."

The nurse, a passing doctor and two male interns, all paused upon hearing her.

The eyes of one of the interns instantly dimmed while his friend mocked him.

"That’s Dr. Sutton’s boyfriend? Man, he’s good looking! You stand no chance trying to snatch her from such a fine specimen."

"They’re not married. Just a boyfriend and girlfriend who’d break up in the future."

Jett’s eyes instantly darted to the intern who spoke.

At the hostile gaze, his friend shuddered and hurriedly drew him by the collar, "Are you cursing them, you idiot?"

Before the intern could reply, Jett straightened up and beckoned onto him with a straight face.

"Hey, come over here."

"Sir?" Although surprised, the intern began strutting towards him, his shoulders still high up in the air.

But the next second, Jett’s empty eyes pierced into his soul.

"Take it back."

"What?"

"What you said about Dr. Sutton and I breaking up, take it back."

"But I wasn’t lying. It does happen very frequently..."

The words had just left his mouth when Jett leaned over to press down on his shoulder, his eyes darkening slightly.

"I’m not religious, but if you don’t take it back right now and it actually ends up happening, I’ll ruin your starting career."

Jett didn’t look like he was joking and for a reason he didn’t yet know, the intern was scared straight and began speaking in a trembling voice, "I didn’t mean to say that about you two. You’ll get married and have beautiful and wonderful children."

Jett’s stiff face instantly stretched into a bright smile as he took his hand off his body.

"Don’t you just feel better now?"

"Yes. Yes, I do, sir!"

Jett leaned back, his eyes falling on the intern’s badge.

"Tell you what, Gerald Lynch, if it happens like this, I promise you a smooth career."

Was he not scared of this man, the intern would’ve laughed.

Who didn’t know how difficult it was to get promoted in Haven Medical Center?

It was also because of this that their staffs got credibility everywhere they went.

"Pardon? I mean, thank you, sir. Thank you so much."

Jett mummed, "You can leave now."

The intern bowed to him again and disappeared into a nearby corridor with his friend.

As soon as he turned back to the nurse, she was already apologizing, "I didn’t know you were Dr. Sutton’s boyfriend, sir. Forgive my ignorance."

"To get to her office, you’ll have to turn right twice and left once, her office is the third door on the right. Will you be able to find it yourself or do you need me to accompany you?"

Jett was in a happy mood after forcing the intern to bless him and flashed her a gentle smile.

"It’s fine. I can do that much on my own. Thank you for your hard work."

As soon as he walked off, a faint pink hue bloomed on the nurse’s face.

"Dr. Sutton’s boyfriend is so sweet."

The nurse who had gone to Jett’s house just a while ago was passing by at this moment and heard it.

"Dr. Sutton’s boyfriend? Kelsie Sutton?"

The nurse at the reception hummed.

"She’s the only Dr. Sutton we have in our hospital, Holly."

Holly Meadow inched closer to the desk.

"She has a boyfriend? He came here?"

The nurse at the reception sighed dreamily.

"Mhm. He’s firm and scary, but sweet. Handsome too. Very handsome. He seems to be a rich scion."

"Did Dr. Sutton go shopping for him or something? How can one man be that perfect?"

Holly was instantly in thought.

So... did she really misunderstand what happened in Mr. Adler’s apartment?

A sudden sense of guilt overwhelmed her as she recalled the cold shoulder she had given Kelsie the entire time they drove home.

She then made a mental note to apologize to her as she went about the rest of her day.

Meanwhile, a startled Kelsie was sitting across confused Jett.

Picking up her pen, she shakily opened her notepad, asking, "Who did you say you saw?"

"A miniature version of myself right outside the apartment building. Ms. Sutton, I think I may have a son."
