Chapter 115: Chapter 115 Who Are You? Jett Adler?

Annoyed that she avoided his hand, he raised his foot to hit her.

Unfortunately for him, his size got in the way. The few seconds it took him to properly turn around to face her was more than enough for Kelsie to figure out what he was planning to do.

Going under his arm, she turned and slammed her foot against the back of his leg.

She didn’t exert much pressure and only hit him just enough to send him stumbling backward whilst wincing in pain.

He regained his footing almost immediately, now infuriated by her defiance and the humiliation she was making him go through.

So this time, he didn’t bother trying to hit her and just reached out to grab her.

Just then, the door swung open and a tall and menacing figure strolled in.

"What is going on here?"

Everyone naturally turned their head to see who was talking.

The burly man’s girlfriend first looked him over before smacking her lips irritatedly.

"This is none of your business. Just take your fancy suit to that corner and turn a blind eye to what is happening here if you don’t want a beating!"

On the other hand, Kelsie narrowed her eyes at the man, wondering if he was stalking her.

They both had very different schedules and didn’t even have a mutual friend. But, recently, he seemed to be everywhere she went.

She pursed her lips, frowning slightly as a thought settled in her mind.

Could it be he was still upset about what happened yesterday? He was into men after all, so her being on his chest must’ve disgusted him.

Right. She didn’t apologize yesterday at the elevator. That must be why. But how petty of him to hold such an irrelevant grudge.

Unaware of the thought running through her mind, Jett paused beside a dress hanger, gently running his fingers through the dresses on it.

"This blocks the way. Why is the store manager yet to remove it?"

As he spoke, he took out his phone to make a call.

"I’m at the store. There’s something you should take out. Hurry up and get here."

Hearing this call, the burly man, his girlfriend and the salespersons nearby were slightly taken aback.

A moment later, the burly man’s girlfriend scoffed in disdain, "Hey, we get that you’re a rich scion, but how dare you look down on us and try to fool us?"

"Do you think this clothing store is that little that you can just summon the manager? Look outside, this is a branch of JD’s Clothing Store, the number one clothing store in the country. Do you think its manager is someone you can just call at will?"

Jett ignored her yapping and walked straight to Kelsie.

He paid no attention to the burly man and took the dress from her.

Moving it closer to his eyes, he examined the fabric for a moment before he lowered his eyes to look at her.

"You have really good eyes for dresses. And blue seems to be your color. But this is a little low-grade, why don’t you ask the store to bring you one of premium quality?"

Kelsie lowered her eyes to look at the dress in surprise.

"Low-grade? I didn’t notice at all. It seemed fine to me."

"That it’s low-grade doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a good quality. I’m just saying you deserve to wear something better and more pricier. But if you’re reluctant to let this go, how about trying more dresses along with it?"

"I have no energy to do that."

"You don’t have to. I just have to place it close to you know if it’s your color and size."

"Oh, you can tell? I didn’t know you had such a good eye."

"There are many things you don’t know about me."

Seeing the two converse naturally, paying no attention to them was a big blow to the burly man’s ego.

What? Low-grade?

His eyes instantly clouded over as he glared at Jett’s back, his brain suddenly empty of what to say.

He didn’t know where this man came from, but as a vain person, he knew a lot about suits and their luxury brands.

So he could tell from a glance that Jett’s suit was quite expensive.

He wasn’t the only one dumbfounded and unable to say anything.

The second salesperson was also silent seeing Jett.

Now that Kelsie had such a man on her side, she didn’t dare to look down on her again and submissively sauntered to their side.

Forcing on a smile, she pointed towards a direction.

"Ma’am, we do have premium quality dresses like he said. Please come this way to where we display the dresses."

Kelsie didn’t spare her a glance.

Instead, she turned to the first salesperson.

"Show us the dresses."

It wasn’t a request, it was an order from a customer.

What could the second salesperson do besides grit her teeth in anger and watch as Kelsie and Jett were led to the changing room.

They had just taken three steps forward when the burly man hissed and spoke to the second salesperson in a raised voice.

"My girl also deserves premium quality materials. Take us to the display room too!"

What? Low-grade dress? Jett was clearly looking down on him!

He would use this opportunity to show him he wasn’t that much better than him just because he was wearing such an expensive suit.

The second salesperson didn’t know why he suddenly made that decision, but was instantly overjoyed and promptly led them to the display room.

The store only had one display room. But if was almost as wide as the main store which meant five to six salespersons could display clothes to five to six customers at the same time without their voices overlapping.

As their clothes were being displayed, the eyes of the burly man and his girl kept darting towards Jett and Kelsie.

Jett crossed one leg on the other and leaned back on his seat making him appear imposing and aloof.

The burly man, who was already feeling inferior to him, hurriedly did the same. Unfortunately, his belly was in the way.

But despite that, he forcefully crossed his leg on the other and leaned back, taking the exact same position Jett was in.

The buttons on his suit and white shirt threatened to burst forth as they strained against his body.

His girlfriend and the second salesperson pretended not to see this as they continued going over the dresses.

But after some time, she suddenly got up and stormed towards Kelsie and Jett, screaming, "What is this? You prepared the best dresses for her while I’m stuck with those pile of rubbish! Do you look down on my boyfriend?"

The salesperson was rendered speechless for a moment before she found her tongue and retorted calmly.

"This miss and her boyfriend requested for the most expensive dresses the store has."

Her words had just fallen when two pair of darkened eyes shot towards her.

"He’s not my boyfriend!"

"She’s not my girlfriend!"

The salesperson was so startled she hurriedly apologized, "M-my apologies. I’ve seen my fair share of couples coming together to buy dresses, but this is my first time seeing couples this much in sync."

Jett sat up in defense.

"That’s because I know fashion so well. Look at her, she wore a sweatpant and tank top to a clothing store and wonders why no one took her seriously."

Kelsie’s dark eyes shot towards him.

"What is wrong with wearing a sweatpant and tank top to a clothing store?"

At this, the man folded his arms across his chest and leaned back again, his eyes pinned on the salesperson.

"Did you hear that? How could someone this embarrassing be my girlfriend? I have better taste in women."

Kelsie finally realized he was just picking a fight and huffed in contempt.

"I rather wear sweatpant and tank tops than wear suits all the time. It’s an eyesore!"

"What did you just say? Do you know how much my suit costs? How dare you look down on it?"

"Do you know how much my sweatpant costs, how dare you look down on it?"

"Mine is proper for the occasion, yours isn’t!"

"Don’t you see how hot it is? Why would a sane person wear such a thick suit out in this weather?"

"A sane person? Are you implying I’m insane?"

"Your words, not mine!"

The man’s eyes trembled in annoyance, unable to think of what to retort anymore.

Turning to the salesperson, he said through gritted teeth, "You saw that, didn’t you? How could I possibly be with someone so after my life?"

The salesperson, the burly man and his girlfriend didn’t know what to say.

They could’ve sworn these two were dating.

The burly man’s girlfriend quickly recalled what she came for and called out to the first salesperson.

"Show me the premium dresses as well!"

The salesperson nodded and brought out more dresses from inside.

Seeing the price tag on it, the burly man’s eyes trembled slightly.

"How could you possibly be checking out dresses worth this much? Who are you? Jett Adler?"

He paused and glanced at the heap of clothes Jett had chosen to buy despite Kelsie refusing and sneered at the first salesperson, "Can’t you tell already these two are swindlers? Who in their right senses would buy these much clothes?"

"There are not a lot of people in Silicone Valley who can afford dresses of this amounts without feeling a hole in their pockets!"

He had just finished speaking when a middle-aged man rushed into the display room.

The two salespersons immediately stood straight, greeting him as he hurried past them.

The second salesperson who had long been displeased with Kelsie quickly pointed her out to the man, "Manager Walsh, it’s good that you’re here. These two are swindlers. I was just about to call the police to report them!"

But the man didn’t stop to spare her a glance and walked to Jett’s side, lowering his head to the floor politely, "Mr. Adler, I didn’t know you were coming."
