Chapter 114: Chapter 114 Confrontation At The Clothing Store
Everyone was first rendered speechless before the girl’s face heated up in anger and she tried to snatch it back, but Kelsie deftly moved to the side, causing her to miss her steps and almost fall to the floor.
Embarrassed, she gritted her teeth and yelled at her in irritation, "What do you think you’re doing? I’m buying that dress!"
Still so collected and calm, Kelsie glanced at her blandly.
"It’s first come first served. I already had my hand on it when you snatched it away. So what makes you think you deserve it instead of me?"
The girl blinked in disbelief, surprised that someone like Kelsie was talking back to her.
Then she placed a hand on her wait and huffed in annoyance.
"So what if you wanted it before me? Who do you think you are to drag a dress with me?"
Kelsie furrowed her brows in irritation as she explained again.
"I just told you it’s a first come first served world we live in. Isn’t that self-explanatory enough?"
At this, the girl clenched her jaw tightly in frustration, realizing Kelsie wasn’t budging.
She was someone who always had a lot to say when facing off against those she viewed lesser than her.
With Kelsie talking back to her and actually making sense, she didn’t know what else to say or do
Hence, she bit down on her lower lip and turned to her boyfriend.
Throwing her hands up in exasperation, she threw a coquettish tantrum.
"Baby, don’t just stand there and watch her treat me like this! She saw the dress first and was about to take it when I did."
"What does it matter if her hands were already on it? It’s the first thing I laid my eyes on as soon as we walked in here. I want it so much!"
Kelsie turned her attention to the man as well, her eyes still as firm as ever as she looked him over property.
He was a tall and huge man with dangling chains around his neck. The numerous tattoos on his body and his dressing looked just like those gangsters in Darki.
Sighting a gang tattoo on the back of his hand confirmed her suspicion. But in his case, he seemed to operate from an office. So perhaps he was the boss of a gang in Silicone Valley.
Seeing her look him over, the tall and burly man was even more displeased as he realized his presence didn’t faze her one bit.
Slowly clenching his fist, he glared at her.
"Hey, just give her the dress. There are dozens of others here you can choose from."
Shorty after he said that, his girl turned to the salesgirl standing beside them and snorted.
"Are you new or just stupid? Look at the price tag on that dress. Does she look like she can afford it? If you let her hold it any longer, she’ll definitely ruin it!"
However, the salesgirl, who was new, was hesitant.
Her eyes flickered from Kelsie’s face to that of the couples in a dilemma.
She was just about to speak up when another salesperson walked to her side and roughly shoved her.
She staggered backward, almost falling to the floor when Kelsie caught her, crumpling the dress a bit in the process
At this, the girl shouted in fear.
"Don’t do that! You’re going to ruin it!"
The second salesperson sucked in a deep breath and shot a stern glare at the first salesperson who instantly lowered her head in apology.
Afterwards, the second salesperson turned to the couple, apologizing fervently, "Forgive her, ma’am. She was brought in a week ago and still doesn’t know how things work around here."
"What is it you want to get? I’ll package it for you right away!"
The girl quickly pointed at the dress in Kelsie’s hand.
"That one."
When the salesperson saw it, her eyes bulged enthusiastically.
She was about to reply, but paused when the girl began twirling her hair with her finger, glancing at her boyfriend proudly.
"I want to get that and a few more. My boyfriend here has promised that I won’t leave this shop without at least ten dresses."
Upon hearing her, the salesperson laughed happily and hurried to their side eagerly.
"Is that so? Then I’d follow behind you while you choose the dresses that catch your eyes."
"That is fine by me." The girl nodded in agreement, flashing Kelsie a triumphant smile.
The salesperson then straightened up and casually walked over to Kelsie to take the dress from her.
But why would Kelsie ever let that happen? She just found the perfect dress without looking around too much.
If she gave this away, she’d spend at least an hour looking for another dress. No. She refused to waste her time doing that.
So when the salesperson came to snatch the dress away, she merely held it above her head.
The salesperson trembled in anger and pointed a shaky finger at her nose in annoyance, "Do you have any idea how much that is? You won’t be able to afford it anyway, so hand it to me right now!"
Kelsie looked down at her coldly.
"You’re not my bank manager, how do you know I won’t be able to afford it?"
Lowering her finger, the salesperson huffed arrogantly.
"Is that even a question? Merely looking at you, I can tell. Women who can afford something of such high value don’t dress as lousily as you."
Kelsie first glanced down at her sweatpant before she sneered , "What do you mean? This sweatpant will buy you."
Silence.
The salesperson’s eyes clouded over in intense rage at being insulted.
But Kelsie didn’t stop there.
"What? You don’t believe me. Go ahead and search it online."
At the side, the girl with her boyfriend harrumphed in disdain.
"Do you think we’d let you pull a fast one on us? Even if this is an expensive sweatpant, there are very similar knockoffs of it everywhere you look."
"I couldn’t care less if you believe me." Kelsie retorted, thinning her lips as she turned to the first salesperson. "Get me the point of sales machine, I’d like to make my payment now."
While everyone felt she was bluffing and only said that to preserve her image, the girl with the gangster had a hunch she’d really pay for the dress and leave.
Once that happened, she wouldn’t be able to get it again.
So she turned to her boyfriend again in desperation, "Baby, don’t let her mock me any more. She won’t give the dress to the salesperson, so snatch it from her instead."
"I’ll do that if that’s what you want." Her boyfriend agreed without hesitation, already itching to give Kelsie a beating for acting high and mighty in front of him.
Hearing him, his girlfriend smiled in satisfaction and mocked Kelsie.
"Stupid girl, you should’ve listened to me while I was being nice and hand it over. Do you think my boyfriend will be held response if he does anything to you?" fr\(e)ew(e)b.(n)o (v)(e)l.com
"He’s merely trying to help his girlfriend and protect the shop’s good. You, on the other hand, will be locked up for trying to steal!"
As soon as she finished, the man stepped forward to snatch the dress from Kelsie.
"Give me that."
Instantly, a cold glint flashed past her eyes.
