Chapter 110: Chapter 110 Daddy Has Another Woman?

While the residents had their undivided attention on the trio being led out of the reception, Keira stood with a stiffened body.

How could she not stiffen when her face was pressed into a chest? A broad and very muscular chest way warmer than her bed.

The subtle scent of mint and musk filled her nose, causing her stiff body to subconsciously feel at home, her muscles relaxing.

"Ms. Sutton, don’t be considerate of me and lean towards me more."

Feeling his chest reverberate, Kelsie quickly stepped back in realization.

Her eyes darted across the place for several seconds before she exhaled in relief, relieved to see everyone else were too busy dealing with the Sutton family.

Then all of a sudden, she lowered her eyes to the floor, stunning the man.

"Thank you for drawing me out of the way, Mr. Adler."

Jett was even more shocked and didn’t react immediately. He slipped his hands into his pockets and turned his face to the side, expecting to hear the snide remark that usually followed.

He waited for more than three seconds, but still didn’t hear another word from her.

Frowning, he turned his attention to her only to see she had walked past him when he wasn’t looking and was about to get into an elevator.

Kelsie had just gotten into the elevator and pressed the button for floor 49 when someone placed his hand in-between the doors.

The doors opened again and Jett Adler walked in with a dark face.

He leaned beside her and snorted.

"Thank you? What can I use ’thank you’ for? I even summoned the Adler family lawyers to help you with those people, but all I get in return is ’thank you’?"

Kelsie, who was already reeling from the embarrassment of having her face pressed against his chest, didn’t know how to face him in the reception and hurriedly left to save face.

But now realizing he wasn’t as much of a gentleman like he sounded earlier, her grudge against him instantly returned.

Of course. A tiger never changed its stripe. To think she even thought of him as a gentleman. How ridiculous!

"Are you that shameless to ignore me after I just saved your life?" The man’s frown deepened when he didn’t get a reply from her.

Kelsie pursed her lips impatiently.

"What then do you want from me? Should I take you to have breakfast another day?"

A smile tugged the corners of Jett’s lips hearing her foul tone, but he suppressed it and turned his face to her with a sneer.

"What is this? Did you just snap at me? That is not how you talk to someone you owe numerous favors."

"In fact, I’ll be using one of my favors now. From now on, whenever you see me, you better be nice to me."

Kelsie turned to look at him as well, the corners of her lips curling in disdain, "You should just ask for my life."

"This rude brat..." The man was saying, but trailed off when the elevator door opened and she got out immediately.

As soon as the door closed, a broad grin spread eased across his face and he slowly reached to touch his chest region.

The fleeting scent of vanilla and sandalwood which latched onto him when she leaned on his chest filled his senses.

But then, he found it a little familiar.

As he was lost in thought trying to recall why it smelt familiar, he failed to notice the floor she got off on and the few seconds it took him to get to his.

Inside his apartment, an oblivious Daniel Adler was playing video games in the living room when Jett walked in.

On every other day, he was usually too immersed with his game to notice his brother come in.

But this time, his nose sniffed out the familiar scent of a woman’s perfume.

It took his brain a few seconds to register before he abruptly left his game and rushed to block Jett’s path, pressing his nose against his body as he sniffled him.

"What? Why do you smell like this? Did you see a woman? Were you on a date with one?"

Jett gave him a stern look.

"I’m almost 30, what is it to you if I’m seeing a woman?"

"It’s everything to me!" Daniel shouted at him in annoyance, too worried about him seeing a woman that wasn’t the triplet’s mother to bother about offending him.

Eric Lance and the housekeeper shot him a weird glance making him realize he was acting too suspicious.

He blinked and slowly leaned away from Jett as he rephrased with a small smile, "I mean to say I’m your brother and I know just how much a scandal can break your reputation."

"So listen to me and don’t go out with any woman. Don’t panic because you’re almost 30 and try to hook up with any woman you see. You’ll find your right missing rib at the right time."

Behind Jett, Eric’s lips twitched.

"Mr. Adler didn’t go out with anyone woman."

Daniel turned to him in confusion.

"He didn’t? Then why does he reek of women’s perfume? You can’t smell like this if you didn’t get close to her."

"They must’ve hugged each other at some point or might have leaned towards each other to..."

The volume of his voice dropped as the realization hit him.

The next second, he tilted his head to the side unconvinced.

"Jett, didn’t I tell you I’m an expert with women? If there’s any you have your eyes on, do well to tell me and I’ll test her to see if she’s the right person for you."

All this talk about women and the feminine perfuming oozing from his body made the man feel strange. Especially since it smelt awfully familiar.

Not a lot of women were close to him and even those who were weren’t close enough for their perfumes to register in his mind.

While the man racked his brain to remember, Daniel was still babbling.

"You see, there are many things to look out for when you’re going out with a woman. You need to be sure she’s not just with you because of the money, fame and respect that comes with being your..."

He stopped talking and sighed in exhaustion when Jett walked past him coldly.

But instead of running after him in sheer curiosity like he always did, Daniel’s eyes followed after him until he turned into the corner his room was located in.

Despite the house being quiet, it was too big to hear Jett walk into his room. So he tip-toed after him and peeked.

Only then was he sure the man was inside. Then he turned his back to the wall and whipped out his phone to inform his darling niece and nephews of what he had just heard.

As usual, the person he called was Keira.

Keira was in the middle of a game when a call from Handsome Uncle came in.

She turned off her microphone in the game and answered the call.

"Are your brothers there?"

Zade, who was preparing to sleep on the other end of the room, heard his voice and jumped out of the bed. fre ewebno(v)e\l.(c)om

"I’m here, uncle!"

"If this hasn’t anything to do with that Jett Adler, you should know I don’t care!" Jesse huffed as he played a game on his monitor.

Daniel was silent for a moment before he exhaled heavily, "My brother came in reeking of women’s perfume."

Keira, who was about to kill an enemy, froze and got killed instead.

Zade choked on his saliva.

Jesse was the only one who sat up eagerly, dangling his legs as he cupped his face in his palm happily.

"Is that so? No wonder he was nowhere to be found when mommy needed him today. Forget it. I always knew he wasn’t good for her. He’s out of her league to begin with."

"Mommy can always find someone else. I didn’t like him as my daddy anyway." Keira tried to suppress her sadness, but couldn’t hold back the tears that filled her eyes.

Zade sighed in exasperation.

"I thought their day at Darki helped them bond well. They must’ve fought even more for daddy to move on this fast."

Jesse’s eyes twinkled happily as he placed his laptop on his thigh.

"Don’t be so sad, Zade. Jett Adler isn’t the only bachelor in the city who’’s wealthy. There’s about ten of them. And Uncle Daniel appears to be in the top 5."

"Uncle Daniel, our mommy is pretty, isn’t she? Don’t you see yourself being with her in the future?"

Upstairs, Daniel almost choked on his saliva and hurriedly refuted.

"Don’t say something like that! Your mother is my sister-in-law. She’s going to remain my sister-in-law. Don’t you worry, I’ll take care of this!"

On the other end, Jesse Sutton snapped angrily, "Why? If you don’t want my mommy, you can just say it. I’ll find mommy a man on my own."

Zade’s voice came up almost immediately.

"Don’t listen to him, uncle and just do what you need to do. They’ll understand in the future. We have school tomorrow and need to sleep early. Good night now!"

Then the line went dead.

Daniel stared at his phone with an empty look in his eyes for several seconds before he scoffed lightly, "What? They have school tomorrow and need to sleep early?"

Then he broke into a broad smile.

"They’re so smart! Didn’t they say children take 70 percent of their brain from their mother?"

"Or is it their personality? Either way, their mother must be very intelligent to have birthed three intelligent children. They’re the most intelligent children I’ve ever come across."

"But this slow poke brother of mine just has to ruin everything! How could he be seeing another woman when he has triplets with my sister-in-law?"

"If you’re so desperate to get married, why don’t you just tell me and I’ll find a way to set you both on a blind date?"

After grumbling in annoyance, he sighed warily and slipped his phone into his pocket, preparing to head to his room.

However...

"What did you just say?"
