One Click Billionaire
Chapter 34: Plan (3)

Chapter 34: Plan (3)

"But the story doesn’t end here," Adam continued. "Apart from that my grandmother had left many other things for my mother." Everything Adam was saying was a lie. He could not tell them about his One-Click Billionaire app.

"Now listen to my plan carefully," Adam said. "If you are thinking that I want to start a business with these 10 million dollars then you are wrong."

The manager was a little surprised to hear this. "Yes you are saying this again," he said. "But what does it mean?"

Adam spoke again. "My dream is to control our country Viper City from the shadows."

The manager was silent for a few seconds. Then he started laughing. Adam was very surprised. He looked at the manager. "I know that for now my words must sound like those of a child," he said.

"But listen to me carefully. I haven’t finished my story yet."

The manager who was laughing at Adam’s words thinking they were childish suddenly became silent.

He realized that Adam was serious. He was not joking. He was not playing a game. He was talking about something real. Something big. Something dangerous. The manager’s laughter died in his throat.

He looked at Adam with a new expression on his face.

Adam spoke again his voice steady and calm. "I want to open a bank with this money."

Kim who was sitting in the chair jolted back in shock. "What?" he exclaimed. "What are you saying? A bank? Do you even know the minimum amount of capital required for a bank?"

Adam held up his hand stopping him. "Let me finish my story," he said his voice firm. "Don’t interrupt." Andrew had been listening to Adam’s words quietly.

When the manager reacted he looked at him with a curious expression. The manager took a deep breath and settled back into his chair.

"You are right," Adam said. "We have to show a minimum amount to the government for any bank. But as far as I know I have tried everything in my life. And I have always failed continuously. From this I have learned one thing. Until I try I will not accept the reason for failure."

Kim tried to speak again but Adam held up his hand again silencing him. He had their complete attention now. They were listening to every word.

They were captivated by his vision. His confidence. His sheer audacity.

He was not just a boy with a lot of money. He was a leader. A visionary. A man with a plan to change the world. And they were going to be a part of it.

Adam looked at Kim. "And as for the money," he continued. "I already told you that I have money."

Kim shook his head. "Ten million dollars is not enough," he said.

"Then how much is enough?" Adam asked.

Kim paused. He looked down at the floor a little embarrassed. "I don’t know how much is needed," he said. "But I don’t think it’s ten million dollars. At least that’s what I think."

Adam looked at the manager. "Now don’t interrupt me again," he said his voice firm. "Not until I’ve finished my whole story."

The manager looked away. He thought to himself I had heard that when a poor person suddenly gets a lot of money they go mad. Today I am seeing it for myself.

Adam started speaking again. "Whatever amount is needed whatever paperwork is needed whatever skilled people or whatever other things are needed manager I leave all that to you. You have to find out. My job is to provide the funding for that bank. You won’t ask me where I got that money from. You have to do the work that is assigned to you. Now listen to the rest of my plan. Our first target is to make our bank completely popular in this country Viper City within this one year. Within six months it should be one of the top 10 banks."

The manager did not say anything this time. He just listened quietly.

Adam spoke again. "Now listen to the second part of the plan," he said. "At this time you have to gather people who can work for us in this plan." He turned to Andrew. "You will be responsible for this work Andrew."

Andrew was still sitting quietly. He was just looking at Adam.

Adam looked at Andrew and spoke again. "Find people," he said. "Apart from this whatever responsibilities come up in the future we will see them later."

At this time the manager raised his hand to stop Adam. Adam looked at the manager. He nodded his head giving him permission to speak.

The manager spoke. "Okay," he said his voice steady now.

"I agree with what you’re saying. And I’m ready to believe that you’ve arranged the money from somewhere. And somehow we’ve also built a bank as you’ve said. But now tell me what happens after that? We have a bank. What do you want to do now? Because as far as I know banks are not very profitable. And we don’t have any idea how banks work."

Adam smiled when he heard the manager’s words. "Don’t you worry about that," he said. Adam knew how banks worked. A bank takes money from people. It invests that money.

It gives it out as loans. It takes the interest rate and keeps increasing its own money. However most banks in the world are not profitable.

But Adam was also fully aware of the fact that a bank never has the amount of money it shows that it has. Whenever all the people go to withdraw all their money at once every bank goes bankrupt because no bank has that much amount of money kept with them. However as far as Adam knew according to him a bank in Viper City has to keep 10% of its total amount in its local room.

Either in the form of gold reserves or in the form of cash which it takes from the central bank. He had a plan for that too. A plan that would make his bank different. A plan that would make it the most powerful bank in the world. He just needed his two friends to trust him. To follow him. To help him build his empire. And he knew they would.
