Chapter 33: Plan (2)

"For now you all do your work here," he said his voice loud and clear. After saying this he walked away from the coliseum.

He did not go back to his office. He walked straight to the main school building. He stood in front of the principal’s office. He took a deep breath.

He told himself If you want to do something big you can’t be afraid of these small things. He knocked on the principal’s office door.

Immediately the principal’s voice came from inside. "You can come in."

Adam went inside the principal’s office. The principal Ms. Vince was very surprised to see him. "Adam," she said looking up from her papers. "I believe you should be taking a class right now. Is there a problem?"

Adam took a deep breath. He had to be convincing. "Ms. Vince I’m very sorry," he said his voice full of regret. "I enjoyed today’s classes very much. But I just received a call from my home a little while ago." He paused letting the gravity of his words sink in. He had to make this believable.

He had to sell the lie. His entire plan depended on it. He needed this job as a cover. But he also needed the freedom to build his empire. It was a delicate balance.

"The situation there has become very critical," Adam said his voice filled with urgency. "I have to go."

The principal was very surprised to hear this. She thought It’s Adam’s first day. She was silent for a few seconds. She was deep in thought. Adam knew that his performance on the first day would affect his entire career at this school. But Adam did not care about that.

The principal spoke in a slightly angry tone. "Adam do you know what effect this will have on your performance and your entire career?"

Adam spoke again firmly. "I prioritize my family the most," he said. "Even if I have to leave this job for it."

The principal was very surprised to hear that Adam was talking about leaving the job.

On the very first day. The principal understood that Adam’s situation was very serious. She calmed her anger a little.

She looked at Adam. "It seems your condition is very serious," she said.

"You can go. But I advise you that if something like this happens in the future please inform me beforehand. So that I don’t have to change the entire schedule all of a sudden."

Adam bowed his head. "I apologize," he said. The principal told him to go.

After this Adam left the principal’s office and immediately went out of the school. He had successfully created his excuse. He had established himself as a man who valued his family above all else. A man who was willing to risk his job for them. It was a good cover. A noble one. It would allow him the freedom he needed to move in and out of the school as he pleased.

Adam immediately went to his house. When he got there he saw that his friend the manager was standing outside his flat. His name was Kim. Kim saw Adam and said "You tell me such an important thing and you are not even at home yourself."

Adam smiled. "I’m sorry," he said. "Let’s go inside quickly." They were about to go into the house when they heard a voice from behind. "Adam."

Adam turned around. He saw his friend Andrew coming towards him on his bicycle. Adam smiled. "You’ve come at the exact right time," he said.

Andrew saw the manager. He bowed his head and introduced himself. The manager also introduced himself. The three of them now went inside Adam’s apartment.

As soon as they went inside the manager Kim pulled a chair forward and sat down. Andrew sat on the floor. Adam put his things aside and looked at both of them.

"So you have money," the manager said. "And you want us to work for you. Tell me what kind of business do you want to start?" The manager was very smart.

He knew that as soon as Adam had told him to quit his job and come to him Adam must have a plan.

At first the manager had not believed Adam’s words. But when Adam started telling him and requesting him again and again he thought that Adam was telling the truth.

He had money. And the manager thought that Adam definitely wanted to start some business.

Andrew had not heard much. He had just come here because Adam had told him to. He trusted Adam completely. He did not need any explanation. He was just happy to see his friend. He was happy to be a part of whatever Adam was planning.

Adam looked at both of them. "No you’re thinking wrong," he said. "I’m not going to start any business."

Both Kim and Andrew were very surprised to hear this. If Adam wanted to make them work for his real dream he would have to explain a whole framework a whole structure. But before that Adam had to solve their biggest problem.

The constant flow of money. He had to deal with that first. So Adam looked at the manager and Andrew.

"First of all before I tell you my plan I want to tell you both something," he said. "So that things are clear to you." After hearing this both of them looked at Adam very carefully.

"As I told you on the phone I’ll tell you the whole story now," Adam began.

"Manager and Andrew my mother had a piece of land. My father doesn’t know about it. A few years ago about three or four years ago the government leased that land for the next 50 years for a project. Because the owner of that land was my grandmother my mother’s mother and she didn’t have any sons the land was automatically transferred to my mother. And from my mother the land was directly transferred to me. "

"However they couldn’t find me all these years. So the government kept accumulating all the money in a fund. Luckily they found me. That’s why they are giving me the amount for all the time the land has been under their lease. Which is 10 million dollars. And they will keep giving me this amount every year for leasing that land."

After hearing this the manager and Andrew looked at each other. They were very surprised. They both thought that Adam was very lucky. Such things happen to very few people in the world.

Then Adam spoke again. His voice was firm. He was laying the foundation for his empire. He was creating a believable story. A story that would explain his wealth. A story that would allow him to operate in the shadows.

He had their attention. He had their trust. Now he would give them their mission. He would give them a purpose. He would give them a reason to follow him. He would give them a dream.
