Chapter 71: THERE’S A SETTING?
Chapter 71: THERE’S A SETTING?
It was early in the morning and Terrence was waiting for Edwin to arrive at the grocery store.
Terrence looked around. He was surprised that the building can maintain itself well. It has been days since he last came here and still there were no specks of dust around.
He wondered if it would continue to be like this even if he would be away for a couple of weeks.
[Yes, Host. The building came from the system and so it can maintain itself well. You can also make a few adjustments on the building’s interior and change its privacy settings on your inventory.]
’What?! I can do that?’ Terrence’s jaw fell.
[Yes, Host. That is one of the hidden settings of this place. The setting will look like this.]
Terrence looked at the holographic screen that appeared before his eyes after. It automatically pressed the [Inventory] tab.
That’s when Terrence realized that it can be clickable and was not just there to inform him of the items he currently has.

When Terrence saw the Inventory Tab, he was genuinely surprised by it. The screen in front of him, then automatically clicked the button of the settings.

Terrence’s eyes widened when he saw that all of them needed a specific amount of payment. However, he was still amazed by the looks of it. His eyes stared at the Visual Barrier under Privacy.
It was his first time hearing about that.
’What’s that?’ Terrence curiously asked about it.
[Virtual Barrier is a magical barrier that can prevent unauthorized entry into the building. This is different to Restricted Access Zone where you can only activate it in one room. To activate Virtual Barrier, it cost $10,000,000. This has a monthly renewal fee of $5,000,000.]
"..."
’Why the fuck is the renewal fee so expensive?’
Terrence was bewildered at the price of it. His money right now, compared to what was needed, was too little. However, the setting still piqued his interest.
He wanted to have that despite its high price.
’Thanks for letting me know.’ Terrence grinned.
[No Problem, Host!]
’I wonder if I need to do any modifications in this building.’ Terrence uttered.
He was reading through all the items in the settings menu, when a knock on the door sounded.
Terrence’s eyes immediately flew to it. When he realized that it must be Edwin, he quickly walked and opened the door to welcome him.
"Terrence?" Edwin’s eyes were wide open as Terrence opened the door.
He thought that he was in the wrong location when he left the cab. He was about to messae Terrence about it.
"This is really the grocery store?" He unbelievably looked around.
Terrence nodded. He opened the door widely and let Edwin inside before closing it again.
"Shit. This looks so good!"
Edwin was so surprised that he didn’t notice that he just uttered a curse. In his entire life, he hadn’t been to a grocery store that looked like this.
Well, for sure, that he had gone to some that was larger compared to this.
But most of them would usually look like a box of building when you go inside it.
However, this was different. It looked modern and high-tech.
This was a new to him.
"How much did you pay for this? This must have cost you a fortune." Edwin asked as his eyes remained to look around.
"Yeah. It’s quite a lot." Terrence lied as he only bought this building for a low price.
"You did not tell me that you’re actually rich! Your family must be a millionaire at this ppoint. That must be the reason why you paid or our dinner last time." Edwin jokingly patted Terrence’s shoulder.
Terrence awkwardly laughed.
’How will I explain this?’ he thought.
He wasn’t really rich just like what Edwin was thinking. He only got a system that helped him with it.
"So, what are we going to do now? Shit. This is really good, Terrence. I can’t help but curse." Edwin excitedly grinned.
He couldn’t believe that he will be working in this grocery store. It was as if his dream was being fulfilled even though, he would only work here as a worker and not really the owner.
"Let’s wait for the shipment first." Terrence uttered as he looked at the time on his watch. The shop messaged him 2 hours ago. By this time, they must be already near the area.
"Alright. Let’s go wait outside then. I bet they’ll be surprised too once they saw this." Edwin pointed out before chuckling.
Terrence silently nodded. He was thankful that because of Edwin’s excitement, he didn’t ask the question once again.
"Go first. I’ll just get the receipt in case they asked for it."
"Alright." Edwin quickly nodded before leaving the building.
Terrence, who was now left alone, massaged the temple of his head. He sighed as he went to a table, where he placed his bag.
He was carrying a bag with him, which contained some of his clothes and necessities. He was planning to travel to Cyposum. The town where everything happened.
It was 3 hours travel from here since this place was opposite from that town.
Terrence realized that it would be tiring if he will come back to their house and travel again early in the morning by tomorrow.
He might as well just go now so it would save him from all the trouble.
Terrence thought that with that, he and Natalie wouldn’t need to rush things tomorrow.
They can spend a lot of time, eating dinner without worry.
