"Uhm, yeah," Terrence answered without thinking much of it.

Silence ensued between the two of them afterward.

"Hello?" Terrence’s forehead creased. He was waiting for Natalie’s answer, but hadn’t heard anything.

"You’re not here to talk to me?" Natalie answered in a low voice.

When Terrence realized the reason why Natalie became silent, he tilted his head to the side. He knew what she must be thinking right now.

"Of course, I want to talk to you too. That’s why I called." Terrence quickly uttered afterward.

He knew that Natalie must have felt sad after hearing his answer. He did not mean it that way.

"Really?" There was doubt in Natalie’s voice.

"Yup. You know that I could just text you about it, but I chose to call you." Terrence answered to assure Natalie, who must have been sad by now.

When Terrence said it, Natalie, who was at the end of the line, smiled.

"My uncle informed me about the update of the case. He said that they’re still interrogating the man who attacked you. They wouldn’t stop until they could have an answer as he was the only way."

"So, he wasn’t really talking?" Terrence’s forehead creased. That wasn’t unlike him at all, since the last time he saw him, he was speaking a lot of nonsense.

"Not really. He was saying something, but it didn’t make sense at all. My uncle suspects that he was just making a fool out of them."

"How about the other bodies that were found?" Terrence asked as he remembered what the news report contained.

"Hmmm... 4 out of the 6 cases were from different towns. But weirdly enough, they’re just beside each other." Natalie sighed.

"Ohh. I see, I see." Terrence slowly nodded.

"Do you want to come to the police station by the day after tomorrow? I’ll tell my uncle about it, and maybe we can watch the interrogation. We were the witnesses, after all." Natalie asked. There was curiosity in her voice.

"Yup. Sure. Why not?" Terrence immediately answered.

When Natalie heard of it, she instantly smiled. "Alright then. I’ll fetch you once again." She said in a hurry, out of excitement.

"Do you want to eat dinner after it?" Terrence asked Natalie. He wanted to do that since Natalie had been offering him free rides.

"Sure! I’m happy to have that." Natalie quickly answered as if she feared Terrence would take back his words.

When Terrence heard her reply, he chuckled and slowly nodded.

"I’ll drop the call then, since it’s late too. You should sleep early. Goodnight, Natalie."

"Goodnight, too, Terrence," Natalie answered.

When the call was dropped, the smile on Terrence’s face also dropped. He looked at the screen of his phone before returning it to the bed.

Terrence opened his status window and went to his shop.

He wanted to see if there would be anything useful in there that could help in this.

Terrence stared at the items in his shop for a long time, but he couldn’t think of anything useful to him other than the first one.

’It doesn’t seem worth it because of the price.’ Terrence thought of it.

’This is hard.’ Terrence took a deep breath.

It was a hard thing to decide on since he didn’t know if the guy was even in his right mind.

Terrence’s eyes landed on the special item that he could buy. He was intrigued by it.

"Should I gamble on this one?" Terrence’s eyes squinted as he looked at the screen right in front of him.

Gambling on it sounds fun to his ears.

Having so much money to spend made it easier for him to decide on things, since it wasn’t a problem anymore.

After thinking about it for so long, Terrence decided to go for it. He would be the judge of whether it will be useful to him or not.

A smile appeared on Terrence’s lips. He didn’t know that having a lot of luck points was this beneficial to him.

"Now, let’s see if that man can still continue to speak nonsense after this."
