Chapter 67: WILLIAM’S MONEY

Chapter 67: WILLIAM’S MONEY

Terrence grinned. He was walking freely inside the mall. On his side was Edwin, who was genuinely confused.

"Are you sure we can do this?" Edwin worriedly asked.

"Of course," Terrence tossed the black card in the air before catching it using his index and middle finger.

"Feel free to buy what you want."

Edwin suspiciously looked at Terrence. He shook his head. He did not want to that.

"You can do that on your own. I don’t want something bad to happen to me again."

Terrence tapped Edwin’s shoulder. "That won’t happen. But if that’s what you want, then it’s fine."

Terrence did not want to force Edwin if he did not want to do it. However he had a question on his mind that would determine what he would do with the card in his hand.

"How much did you pay for your wife’s hospital bills so far?" Terrence asked all of a sudden.

Even though Edwin was weirded out by the sudden question, he decided to answet it.

"For the down payment, I paid $25,000. For the rest of the bills, I still do not know but it must be a lot by now." Edwin answered unsurely.

He was thinking that their medical bills must have reached $100,000 by now or even more than that.

"Medical care is sure damn expensive," Terrence uttered.

"Yeah. If you’re sick and poor, you’re basically gonna die here." Edwin sighed.

Terrence looked at Edwin. He smiled and looked around.

"Alright. Let’s spend $25,000 then." He announced.

Terrence based the value on what Edwin said. He knew that it might not be enough, but at least, William will be very annoyed if he learned how much was spent.

"Hmmm..." Terrence looked around. He does not know where to start.

He wasn’t really much of a shopper so he didn’t know what to spend on.

"So what are we going to buy?" Terrence asked after the seconds of silence.

"I don’t know..."

Terrence sighed.

"Let’s go buy some furniture then." Terrence uttered. They have a space to fill up. He want to start the opening of the grocery store as soon as possible.

Edwin eyed Terrence. "Alright."

As they walked around, trying to find a furniture shop, Terrence remembered something. It’s something he had been meaning to ask for a long time

When the two of them went inside, Terrence glanced at Edwin.

"What’s the process of getting a permit or licensw to start a business?" With a curious tone, he asked.

When Edwin heard the question, he stopped to think for a couple of seconds.

"Getting the permits are easy since most of it, you would just need to go to the town’s head or offices and pay for it." Edwin recalled the process when he did it.

"But the license part is hard since you need to apply for food and beverage license of what you will be selling. They usually take a lot of time and would require a visitation of the location."

Edwin explained further.

Terrence slowly nodded, understanding it. It was too much of a work, but oh well, might as well do it.

"Can’t you just pay someone to do all of that for me." Terrence’s forehead creased. Money won’t be an issue for him

Edwin chuckled. "You know what? Fortunately, I still have the business permit and license with me. I can just transfer it to you, but it may also take a lot of time."

It was fortunate that William did not want to claim that too. He was able to keep it as his own.

"I didn’t know that was possible." Terrence was amazed.

It was given since he had no idea about how businesses worked. It seemed like he needed to get more information about it further.

"Yeah. I just learned about it too when I was staring." Edwin chuckled.

When Edwin noticed that they were heading straight to the table and chairs, his expression changed.

He eyed Terrence and said, "Aren’t we here to buy furnitures for you?"

"Nope. We’re here to buy something for the office and all." Terrence announced.

"We have an office?" Edwin’s eyes lit up from what he heard. He was deeply amazed. Even his grocery does not have one.

Terrence grinned. "Nope."

Terrence’s grin became wider. "Let’s start buying. Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it."

That was a lie that he made up.

Terrence just wanted to let Edwin spend some money.

When Terrence started to get some items, Edwin had no choice but to get some too.

Edwin carefully chose the items, ensuring that he will only pick what he needed. On the other hand, Terrence was different.

He got some items as if he had nothing to worry about.

They filled in 4 carts in just a matter of time. It was quick.

A way of how men would shop.

When they reached the counter, the cashier looked at all the carts.

"All of this, Sir?" The cashier asked to confirm.

"Yup. Punch them all in." Terrence smiled.

With an automated response, the cashier immediately nodded and started to punch the items one by one.

Compared to their shopping thag only took less than an hour, the checking out of items took an hour.

"Should we deliver this, Sir? We offer free delivery." The cashier gave Terrence a piece of paper.

"Yup." Terrence took a ballpen and filled in the important details.

It’s a good thing that they were offering delivery even in another town.

"This will be delivered tomorrow, Sir." the woman informed

"Okay." Terrence nodded. "How much is it?"

The cashier glanced at the monitor screen before facing Terrence.

"It’s $25,095, Sir." The cashier read the numbers.

’It’s not that much. I was expecting it to be more." Terrence uttered.

He took out the black card on his pocket with confidence. A smile appeared on Terrrnce’s face.

"Here." Terrence handed it to the cashier, who was now in great shock.

"Don’t worry. I’ll give you a big tip."
