Chapter 66: A SMALL REVENGE

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" Rebeca jumped repeatedly. Her face screamed horror as the frog jumped together with her.

She held onto William’s arms. "Babe! Helpp!" She cried out loud for help.

William, who was deeply ashamed by now, looked at the crowd first before glancing at Rebeca. He held her arms and pulled.

"Stop moving." He irritatedly whispered as he put Rebeca in place.

Rebeca’s face lost its color after hearing William’s voice. Even though she was still scared, she forced herself to stay still. She closed her eyes tightly and held onto William’s tightly. Her hands were shaking by now.

Terrence looked at the side. He was curious about where the small frog came from.

’Oh,’ Terrence fought the will to laugh when he saw where did it came from.

On the side, he saw Alex and Sofia, the kids he met earlier. They were grinning and laughing out loud. There was an open container in Alex’s hands.

He didn’t know becoming friends with kids can be beneficial when it comes to this.

William’s jaw clenched. He tried his best to smile and raised his head up high after all the embarrassment that he went through for the day.

He glared at Terrence. From the first time he saw him, William didn’t like Terrence. His blood was boiling every time he saw him.

"You accept our apology, right?" William’s teeth gritted as he tried his best to sound normal.

"Hmmm..." Terrence pretended that he was thinking. He looked at William and smiled.

"I haven’t received any apologies from your girlfriend yet." Terrence emphasized the word ’girlfriend’.

’This piece of asshole is testing me.’ William furiously looked at Terrence. He didn’t notice that his nails dug deep on Rebeca’s skin because of it.

"B-Babe," Rebeca held onto William’s hands, stopping him. There was fear in her eyes as she looked at William.

It was her first time seeing him acting this way.

"Shit," William cursed out loud when he noticed the nail marks on Rebeca’s arms. He quickly loosened his grip.

"Say sorry to him now so we can leave," William ordered without saying sorry for what he had done.

He thought that it was not his fault because there were marks on Rebeca’s skin. He was sure that she would forgive him anyway.

Rebeca bit her lower lip. She was expecting an apology from William, but she didn’t hear anything. She swallowed and looked at Terrence. She was unwilling to do it, but William’s expression didn’t look good right now.

"Sorry," Rebeca said against her will.

Terrence grinned after hearing the apology. He looked at both of them.

"You’re going to pay for my shirt, right? And the damage it caused to me? Cause you know, I need to go somewhere but because of what happened, I need to cancel all my plans~?" He asked in a mocking voice.

"Wh—"

"Yes, we will." William quickly cut off what Rebeca was about to say.

Rebeca stomped her feet on the ground. She placed her arms together and looked at William, judging his decision.

"Why did you say yes?" Rebeca asked in a low voice. She glared at William. Because of what he said, it seemed like they were acknowledging that it was their mistake.

"Shut the hell up, Rebeca." William countered in annoyance.

Rebeca looked at William with widened eyes. She was offended by what he said.

"Hmp," Rebeca rolled her eyes and looked away.

She was fighting her urge to fight William verbally. She has not been treated like this in her entire life.

After hearing an answer, Terrence opened up his palm and raised it midair. "$1,000 is fine for all of that."

William put a forced smile on his face. He reached for his wallet and opened it.

’Shit,’ William had a problem. It was that he didn’t have any bills in his wallet aside from his black card.

He looked at Terrence. William does not know how he would bring it up. He couldn’t afford to lose face in front of the people especially since they were watching his every move closely.

When Terrence saw the hesitance in William’s movement, he already had an idea why. He knew that William didn’t usually bring cash around him except for his black card.

He purposely said the bill out loud earlier so that it would be heard by people and William would have no way out.

"Oh no! Don’t tell me you don’t have any money with you?" Terrence looked at William in pity.

William’s eyes widened for a little bit. However, he didn’t make a reaction.

"If that was the case, then I think I can consider that you have no money so you can’t pay. It’s fine then." Terrence smiled widely as if he was really understanding what was happening.

Terrence looked at the crowd and saw that they were invested in what they were watching. Fortunately, this happened outside or else the scene right now would be completely changed.

Terrence knew that he wouldn’t be able to take down William if they were just alone. So, the better way to do it was to put William in a vulnerable position where he would lose more than Terrence.

In this way, William won’t be able to do anything but follow what Terrence would say since he was the mistreated here in the people’s eyes.

William glared at Terrence. ’This guy is testing my patience.’ He uttered.

"Oh my, they dare to act that way but they don’t even have money?"

"I know right? I pity Terrence. He used to help us but now these bullies can’t even pay him for the damage they caused!"

"I guess those people are just scum."

Hearing what the crowd concluded after a moment of silence between Terrence and William, Willam does not have any choice but to get his card.

William glared at Terrence. If they were only alone then he would beat this guy already.

"Here’s my card. You can spend it as you like to buy a new shirt for you and to compensate you for what happened. My secretary will call you tomorrow to get my card back." William uttered as he held on to his black card tightly.

Terrence remained grinning, teasing William as he took the car from his hands.

"Thanks. I’ll make sure to compensate myself well"
