Chapter 68: WILLIAM’S RAGE

Chapter 68: WILLIAM’S RAGE

"I thought you were going to pay using your money." Edwin’s eyes widened when he saw what Terrence was doing.

Terrence glanced at Edwin. "That’s a lie. I just want you to spend something. This should be compensation for what happened to you." he uttered.

The main purpose why he asked for William’s card earlier was because he was thinking of Edwin.

"B-But..."

Terrence tilted his head to the side.

"Swipe it." He instructed the cashier.

The cashier, who was dumbfounded as she saw the black card, nodded quickly. She immediately took it and swiped the card to pay for the total bill.

Her hands were slightly shaking. She did now know that the man in front of her was such a big shot. If only she knew it, she thought that she should have been more respectful enough.

Terrence nodded. He took some money from his wallet and gave the cashier a $500 tip just like what he said earlier.

He was in a good mood after earlier.

As they walked away from the store after clearing things up about the delivery tomorrow, Terrence made sure to keep the receipt well.

He looked at his status window afterward.

Terrence couldn’t help but smile as his eyes landed on the money that he currently has. He was able to earn $60,000 without using any of his money.

Terrence clicked the level up button when it appeared.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have successfully leveled up!]

Terrence was glad that he was able to level up by 1 too.

"Terrence, I need to go now. My wife is awake already and is looking for me" Edwin all of a sudden uttered when they hadn’t even walked a distance from the furniture shop.

He looked like he was in a state of panic but not showing it because of Terrence.

Terrence nodded as he understood how badly Edwin must have wanted to leave

"Alright. Take care."

Edwin smiled. "Send me the location. I’ll go tomorrow to help in unloading and unpacking the furniture as a way of thanks."

Terrence just silently nodded. His eyes watched Edwin as he sprinted his way out.

That’s when he realized if Edwin had the funds right now to take a cab on the way to the hospital.

’Oh well,’ Terrence shrugged his shoulders.

Edwin left too fast that he wasn’t able to keep track of him using his eyes. It would be too late already if he would run after him.

Since Terrence does not have anything to do anymore, he decided to go home as well.

But before that, he needed to return the card to William.

"Hmm," Terrence stared at the black card that was still in his hands.

It was a plain card that was made out of stainless steel. There was a chip on the side and its design was engraved by a laser.

’I wonder how much I would need to have one of these.’ Terrence curiously asked.

Truth be told, he had no credit card or debit card. Unlike in other countries, those things could only be availed by people who were working or those privileged enough.

It was not easily given to them— the poor.

To apply for it, you would need a basic fee of 100,000 to put in the card. It wasn’t easy for people like them.

’Should I open one? I heard they have amazing credits.’ Terrence thought of it.

Owning a credit card meant that he would also have a credit score. And credit scores are important in building a future as it gives you a lot of benefits.

Thinking about it, Terrence slowly nodded. "I’ll do that then," he uttered.

If given the chance, he can deposit the money from his system to his bank account.

Terrence’s eyes remained staring at the card. "I should vie this back before I forgot about it." He suddenly lost interest in the card.

And so Terrence rode a cab back. He will give the card back to William. For sure by no, he already knew about how much he spent.

----

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?" William jumped out of his seat as a notification from his bank showed up on his phone.

Someone just spent more than 25k from his card.

"This Terrence!" William shouted in annoyance. He crumpled up a paper and threw it on the ground to relieve his anger.

His eyes flew to the person in front of him. It was Rebeca, who was sipping calmly on a teacup.

"This is all your fault!" William pointed his fingers at her. If only Rebeca didn’t catch people’s attention with her loud voice, then this wouldn’t happen.

His blood was boiling. He couldn’t believe that Terrence was as shameless as this. How dare he spend that much money? And it was his money above all of that.

Rebeca rolled her eyes. She crossed her legs and raised his brows at William. She took a sip of tea before replying.

"Can you shut up for a moment? Why are you blaming me here?! It’s you who gave your card to him!" Rebeca scoffed. She only went here because she missed William.

"Tsk," William kicked the table. He can’t get enough of the annoyance and anger that he was feeling.

"He even called me ugly and you just stood there and didn’t say anything!" Rebeca complained out loud. Her voice were echoing at the room that they were in.

William glared at Rebeca, telling her to keep her mouth shut.

"This asshole. I swear, I’ll get back to him!"
