Chapter 58: Strong

"They entered the red zone. Should we follow them inside. It will be a suicide’s call for us to follow them into the red zone. Even if you are a 2 Star Sage, I think it is impossible." Maws stated, trying to dispel the idea of following their target into a red zone.

"He has a point."

"Yes, sir it will be suicide." The other members of the 5 man squad spoke in order to discourage Jaw from following Tim into the dungeon.

Jaw looked at the red zone with a blank face. He did not display any emotion physically, but on his inside, he was gripped with fear.

’Would I lose my target because of my target’s foolishness? How do I explain to my contractors that the target walked into a red zone dungeon that was known to take the lives of multiple people.

How can he even survive in such a place without a team of elite hunters. He just entered with 2 hunters? This is just too mind blowing.

I can never risk my life or the lives of my team members by entering such an obvious death trap.

I will definitely not survive if I enter this dungeon. I will rather wait and survive than go in and die.’

After what seemed like 5 minutes of serious deliberation which was of course all an act, Jaw spoke to his squad. "Following them is above our pay grade. While I can survive in such a dungeon. It would be unfair of me not to consider the lives of my fellow colleagues.

So, the decision is that we stay and observe. If they luckily survive by finding the escape stone then we will finish them off.

We will wait at least 2 days for them, if not then we can already assume that they are dead."

The squad agreed with Jaw’s decision. It seemed like the only reasonable thing that they could do if they did not want to unnecessary lose their lives.

But Jaw was still worried. What if his target was killed? He would not be paid for that and he clearly need the pay.

He even remembered that his target was following another guild. The chances that his target would survive just became slimmer and slimmer the more Jaw put together all the facts.

On a normal day, he would have aborted the mission, but the truth was that he really needed the money. He had not had any decent fun of recent and he was totally hell bent on getting his fun.

...

"What!" Tim exclaimed as he was seriously surprised that he could cast the skill on his reserve. Honestly, he did not think that it would be possible to do so.

But he was shocked once again. If he could cast the skill on his entire reserve, then what would happen if he had about a thousand summons that were in reserve.

Would that mean that he would be as strong as a thousand beings? Tim did not know the answer to that, but this realization about his skill really solved a lot of problems for Tim.

He did not have access to his reserve’s skills and spells alone. He also had access to their memories.

It was almost as if he had lived their lives previously. Every memory that could the summon could ever remember at the time of their death remained ever fresh in Tim’s head.

Also, from those memories that he had access to, he also saw the vile and wicked things that the humans did to other traffickers when they were alive.

"Such an unpleasant sight. I will rip the life of that man." Tim said with determination, as he saw in the memories the face of the lead trafficker.

Now he had a face to his target.

Another thing that surprised Tim was the fact that he received stats from the humans. He honestly thought that he could only receive big stat bonus from monsters and beasts, but he never imagined that he would receive such boost from humans.

He had a +6 to all stats and a +10 to his endurance. To say the least, the boost that he got was excessively massive.

It was almost as if he levelled up 6 times, because each time he levels up. He gets a +1 to all stats, but this time he got a +6 to all stats and he did not even level up.

Tim felt really powerful. The bone chilling cold that he felt previously had drastically reduced to him just being cold. It was definitely better than the bone chilling cold.

His speed, strength, dexterity and especially his endurance increased.

This was power, and it was sweet as honey to Tim. He was still at the starting point of his ascension but he loved where he was going to reach if he kept on growing.

With his stamina, and endurance increased. Tim added haste to searching for something to hunt, not knowing that he was being watched.

About a thousand meters from where Tim was. A massive snow-white wolf that was about 2 meters tall on its 4 legs, was staring at Tim with intense hunger. It was eager to pounce on the new flesh that walked into its area.

As Tim, neared its position. So did the wolf also near Tim. It wanted to end the battle in an instant as against dragging things out with its prey.

That was the nature of the wolf, to end its prey’s struggle once and for all. Has Tim neared the wolf. It had a better whiff of its prey. It did not smell as delicious as the other beings that it had being eating so far, but it did not mind.

When Tim was about 100 meters from the snake, he suddenly stopped. He did not know why he stopped but he his instincts stopped him.

The wolf seeing that Tim had stopped, decided to hide its presence even further. It was not like its siblings that always rushes to kill their prey.

It loved the wait and the hunt.
