Chapter 51: A Good Deal

"That would be 99 silver coins" Rose answered with a stiff smile.

Ever since Tim figured out that he was probably ripped off because of his desire for the cloak that looked useless but had great value.

He had been making purchases for various items that he deemed that would be needed later on at a cheaper rate thanks to Idah and Ottis negotiations.

"Yeah. But considering that we bought almost all your stuff and we had previously spent a lot of coins with your store already, you need to drop that amount to 80.

You either sell the goods to us for 80 silver coins or we buy nothing." Tim said, he was not still satisfied by the final negotiation price.

The goods that they were buying were looted, so why would he ever pay full price for looted goods. They were no longer fresh, so the value should have dropped significantly.

That was his own belief on the matter.

Rose became pale after she heard Tim’s offer. She noticed that Tim was dead serious about leaving if she did not come to terms with his price.

She thought hard about it. The truth was that she had not gotten any customer since about a month now. That was already bad enough as a shop owner.

She also had a family to feed, so she needed all the money that she could get.

She was practically regretting ever meeting Tim. In fact, with the way he and his people had priced her goods, she almost did not see any gain from all her sales in total.

Biting her lips she replied "Fine sir. You can have all those goods for 80 silver coins. This was done as a way to build a strong long-lasting relationship between us.

I hope that you will frequent this store."

Tim almost burst into laughter, when he heard her say frequent. There was no way he would frequent her store.

Once he was done with his activities in the city, he might just move on to the next city. What he was looking for exactly was information, and he was willing to do a lot for it.

Tim nodded to Idah, signaling him to pay for the goods.

Idah brought out his pouch of coins and counted 80 silver coins top pay for the goods that was bought.

After Rose counted the coins that she received from Idah, she smiled and went on to close her shop. She was done for the day and hoped not to meet anyone like Tim any longer.

Looking at all the goods that he bought with the money that he definitely did not earn, he smiled. This was the perfect outcome that he wanted.

He bought himself 2 full sets of magically enhanced light amour, a sword, an enchanted boot, a tent, 3 sets of throwing knives, a guide book, food rations and some other casual clothes.

Ottis gathered the bought goods and stored them into the storage ring that they bought, another treasure that they purchased for a knocked off price.

Ottis handed the storage ring to Tim to wear, and when he wore it – he was surprised by the notification that he heard next.

[ Storage Ring unable to be equipped! ]

[Mana to use it is missing. You are Mana Dead!

Please equip the skills and power of a mana blessed undead to use item.]

Tim frowned when he saw the notification. He just had to be reminded that he was mana dead.

Tim definitely felt that the system was mocking him in a way, but he did not want to concluder on that. The system did not possess any personality. It was basically a computer program. At least that was how Tim perceived it.

Looking at Idah and Ottis, he was happy about his necromancy.

The usual trend for necromancy was summoning or reviving monsters or skeleton warriors to fight for you, and in rare cases it was reviving a human to fight for you.

But the human revived would off course look like an undead.

That was very different from Tim’s version of his undead. His undead retained their shape, complexion, habits and their full memories.

It was more like a reanimation. He had never read of such necromancy ever since he started reading fantasy novel. Looking at Idah and Ottis now, the only thing that was slightly different about them was that they were a bit pale.

Well Tim understood that. They were dead already, they probably did not have a beating heart anymore, but they still looked much alive.

There were limitless opportunities that presented itself with such an ability, but right now Tim’s primary aim was to level up.

Unlike other system fantasies. His system did not give him any missions to level up. He did not know exactly why that was happening but he just assumed that it was because of the being’s interference.

If the being that brought him to this world did not interfere with his blessings, then maybe his system would have been able to dish out missions.

Now the system was just subject to being just an alarm center for Tim. Notifying him only of his achievements, kills and level ups.

The only way he knew to level up was to slay something. He could not go round and start killing people. That was just brutality and stupid.

Even if he decided to do something as stupid as that, then he would be hunted by the high ranking mages of the town.

He definitely did not want to do something like that.

He needed to kill maybe monsters, and to do that he needed to find them. "Why did we not see animals or even monsters during our journey to this town.

It is a bit odd that I did not witness a single animal. Even during our long battle, no monster, no animal just silence. It is really weird. Tell me why the forest is barren of the wild life?" Tim asked Idah and Ottis as they walked towards the exit of the underground black market.
