Chapter 995: Chapter 360: See You Again Dreyne_2

Saina’s eyes blazed red as she charged toward Wayne, wielding the Elemental Mantra, a barrage of small-scale Map Cannons exploding in four-colored elements.

Her body moved in sync with the Wind Element, and her speed suddenly increased by several folds. The white blade of the Elemental Mantra swept open, emitting a cold light, and stabbed directly into the Pale Knight’s chest at the Magic Eye.

The blade effortlessly pierced through the Magic Eye.

Wayne did not resist; he watched Saina, whose face was distorted like a demon’s, with a complex expression. He raised his arms transformed into heavy hammers and suddenly shot them out.

The heavy hammers struck the Life Armor, sending Saina flying high up in the air, and she somersaulted mid-air.

Golden light descended from the sky intercepting Saina, and with an untraceable speed, it thrust down the Dawn Admonition.

The golden light hit the ground, the Dawn Admonition piercing through the Life Armor and creating a loud crashing noise as it fell into the depths of a large pit.

William lifted the Dawn Admonition, pinning Saina to the ground, the spearhead piercing through the Life Armor radiated intense golden light, a small sun inside Saina’s body burst with a devastating shockwave.

At the same time, with red eyes and rays of golden light scattering from her mouth and eyes, Saina thrust the Elemental Mantra straight toward William’s chest, aiming to drag him to death with her.

A hand reached out from the side.

The Pale Knight grabbed the Elemental Mantra, stopping Saina’s lethal hit.

Boom!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The deafening explosions were relentless, a curtain of golden light piercing the sky repeatedly, the terrifying energy sprawling uncontrollably.

The great pit sank rapidly, the high temperature melting the surrounding soil layers, and streams of magma flowed from all around, submerging almost half of the pit.

As a Naturalist Knight wielding the Elemental Mantra, Saina’s vitality was unmatched by any other God’s Chosen Knight. Despite William’s efforts planting numerous bombs, he couldn’t completely erase her consciousness.

In a trance, Saina realized she couldn’t drag William to death with her and turned her target toward Wayne.

Had it not been for this strange man who appeared, she wouldn’t have met her demise, rendering all her efforts futile.

She was supposed to rise above the heavens, detached from this negative-filled world as the strongest God’s Chosen Knight.

How ruthless!

Saina prayed that the plot in the Outer World was the exact opposite to here; in that world, she would be the one killing Wayne.

Unable to escape and unwilling to die by William’s hand, Saina exhausted her remaining consciousness in a final outburst, releasing all binds the moment she let go of the hilt of the Elemental Mantra.

"Moonlight Knight, taste the flavor of the Elemental Mantra!"

Saina’s eyes were ferocious, her consciousness exploded in an instant, and the world plunged into complete darkness, the last image being that of Wayne grasping the blade of the Elemental Mantra, his body wavering.

Dragged down by death, but not in vain.

Boom!

Two figures leapt from the sticky magma lake.

William, having avenged his great nemesis, was mentally exhausted; his hands and feet were weak as he allowed the Dawn Admonition to fall to the ground.

He staggered and kneeled, tears gushing uncontrollably, thinking of the dead followers of the Sun Church. He cried out his mixed feelings of revenge and sobbed like a 250-pound child.

The Pale Knight turned back into Wayne, who waved his hand sending the Elemental Mantra into The Void, and gazed upon the cooling magma lake with a long sigh.

Wayne disliked the Outer World, had always disliked it, and now more so.

Apart from Saina’s death, there was William with his revenge fulfilled, unable to find any trace of Viley’s carefree self, and...

Wayne looked toward Lundan, the commotion of the battle was massive, and as he predicted, Megan had followed Austin and left the Inverted World.

Wayne felt as if a large stone was pressing on his chest, heavy and suffocating.

He slapped his face, put on a radiant smile, stepped forward and propped up William’s neck, "You’ve avenged them, you haven’t failed to protect anything, pull yourself together, everyone wants you to be happy in the future."

"I didn’t want revenge, I just wanted them all to come back..."

William sobbed out bubbles of snot, his tears streaming down, smearing his beard and covering his face, making him look ridiculous.

Wayne didn’t find it funny at all, repeatedly patting William’s shoulder, and sat next to him.

Highway 114 harbors the Misty Sea; hidden beyond the fog is the sealing ground of the Ancient God’s Kin, Torgoguryr’s skull, where the bodies of William’s parents, Anastasia included, were located.

Involving the Ancient God’s Kin, Wayne was unsure if they were still there and to avoid raising false hopes had previously not disclosed the truth.

Now, it was even less likely; if they weren’t there, it would only devastate William more.

Wayne wanted to be William’s support to give him hope for the future, but it was futile; he was destined to leave the Inverted World, and couldn’t offer any promises.

He cursed this terrible world internally, looking up at the sky’s mirror, wishing he could smash it with a fist.

Inside, his desire for power had reached its peak.

Half an hour later, Anastasia and Philomena arrived, discovering that Saina was indeed dead, Anastasia’s doll-like body cracked open in several places.

Losing the drive for revenge, her weary mind only wishing for release.

"Don’t rush, wait a moment, my target is Highway 114, your contaminated body is there, it might still exist, you could live once again," Wayne spoke slowly.

Anastasia shook her head, "I’m too tired, I don’t want to go on anymore, stopping here is just right."

Wayne opened his mouth, not knowing what to say without commitments.

"You’re Wayne, right? If what you said is true, and the me in the Outer World is truly with you, I hope you treat her well, she’s a very lonely person..."
