Chapter 910: Chapter 338 Envy Descends_2
With such leisure, it would be better for everyone to sit down and chat. He offered a plan alongside Hexuno to formulate a strategy to eliminate Lord Pride.
By that time, Hexuno would’ve achieved fame and success, second only to one in Heaven but above tens of thousands, he would’ve taken over Lord Pride’s territory, comfortably sitting in the big brother’s throne, with a bright future for everyone.
Joining hands for a win-win situation—how beautiful would that be!
Lord of Envy was in a sorry state, fending off attacks that had descended mysteriously and battling Hexuno just as inexplicably. Could it be that Lord Pride was scheming behind the scenes, wanting to make him the new laughingstock of Hell?
Lord of Envy, pressed and beaten by Mona, was completely defensive with no leeway to counterattack, resembling, to an extreme, Smedley who had just been humiliated, just short of being rubbed against the ground.
Wayne: (─_─)
No wonder she was his personal secretary, with great strength and bricks flying, her combat style was so violent, even her cheat-like speed almost caught up to him.
Besides, the Hell Demon Lord was nothing special; he could replace him too.
Two figures battled fiercely high in the air, and after a flash, a hundred or so rounds were over. Lord of Envy grew more suspicious with each blow. As the hundred-meter-long Holy Spear slashed down from the sky, he let out a low growl and raised his greatsword to block it.
With a loud boom, the explosive wave of wild energy pushed the duo of black and white far apart, slamming against the six Gates of Heaven, causing rippling waves to roll out.
Umr hummed lightly. Although she was far from the battlefield, she was under the greatest pressure there.
Lord of Envy blocked the Holy Spear, his dark eyes flickering with a sharp light. He only wanted to make a brief appearance, not wanting to fight didn’t mean he was easy to bully. Hexuno could’ve directly banished him, but instead chose to mock him repeatedly in an almost insulting manner. In that case, he might as well get a little serious.
Boom!
The fearsome Abyss rose from the ground, darkness like a tidal wave surged forth from its depths, devouring all nearby light.
Lord of Envy forcibly drew part of his consciousness to the scene. The aura of Death and Fear spread, an oppressive feeling that left no room for breath, solidifying space, and his cold, dark eyes gleamed with the madness of devouring all life and souls.
Boom!!
Darkness descended.
The Demon King’s presence soared, his greatsword striking down harshly against the Holy Spear, a terrifying power that reigned supreme above all else, requiring no fancy techniques, a single strike sending Mona tumbling to the ground.
Dust filled the sky as Heaven’s Holy Light was suppressed into a corner by the darkness.
Angel’s Golden Rule surged forth, several golden bands materializing into chains, piercing through the dark and wrapping around the limbs of Lord of Envy, dragging him out from the shadows.
Mona clutched the golden bands in one hand and the Holy Spear in the other, with the Eye of Judgment flaring behind her, manifesting the phantom of a golden cross in the air.
Blinding light imbued with infinite power seared through Lord of Envy’s consciousness, scattering the negativity and his prideful melody of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Seven Deadly Sins Melody—The Chapter of Envy.
The golden chains tightened, and Mona violently dragged Lord of Envy towards herself, bracing the Holy Spear under her arm and thrusting it downwards as he drew near.
Lord of Envy screamed as the Holy Spear pierced through his chest.
The next second, his figure turned into a phantom and vanished, only to reappear standing within the darkness, his complexion deathly pale.
Lord of Envy had a bizarre expression on his face, as if realizing something, he burst into laughter: "So that’s it, Hexuno, I know what you’re planning now."
"You’ve come to the Mortal World through reincarnation, your powers not fully reclaimed, seeking to stimulate more of your own through me..."
"A clever plan. No wonder I managed to descend right under your nose!"
Lord of Envy laughed unrestrainedly, his chuckles growing cold as a glint of ecstasy flashed in his eyes.
Mona was expressionless, a stark contrast to him. Influenced by Hexuno’s fragmented memories, she allowed Smedley to summon Lord of Envy and used him as a whetstone to accelerate her own awakening.
However, Hexuno had more than that in mind.
She was sealed!
Due to the Hell Curse’s seal, she couldn’t fully take over her current body and as a silent observer, watched Wayne making moves on her.
After the Reincarnated Angel descended into the Mortal World, she gradually awoke her true self through contact with the Holy Light. During this process, the memories of Heaven and humanity slowly merged into a single, unique personality.
Compared to the extensive memories of an Angel, those of a human were insignificant, and the final personality could only belong to the Angel, unaffected by human memory.
Being disproportionate, the Angel could easily erase or ignore human memories to prevent tainting their purity.
Like the believers of the Multi-Turret Cult, the tank operator Kel.
After Angel Kirael awoke, he had no intention of assimilating Kel’s memories, seeing them as a malignant tumor, refusing to acknowledge that Kel was himself reincarnated.
He treated Kel as a mere tool to protect himself and would not appear unless necessary.
This was the Angels’ Pride and their purity.
Hexuno’s approach was somewhat better, considering merging Mona’s memory and treating his human self kindly, viewing it as a spice for his long life, something to look at when bored.
Unfortunately, she only showed signs of awakening, had yet to open her eyes, and was sealed by Lord Pride walking the Earth.
Reincarnated as Mona, Hexuno began searching for the Reincarnated Angel. In doing so, he unwittingly delivered himself to Wayne’s doorstep, and the latter, without hesitation, kept giving Mona troubles she couldn’t escape.
This was unexpected; Lord Pride hadn’t orchestrated anything. When he heard about it, his expression was a wealth of reactions, nearly laughing himself to Death and straight to Hell.
