Chapter 911 - 338
Chapter 911: 338
After Wayne obtained the Blood of Saint George, he helped Mona in the evolution of the Angelic Hierarchy, inadvertently tearing a corner of the seal, allowing Hexuno to break through the seal and return once again.
Taking a look, it was unbearable to watch.
Hexuno no longer considered fusing memories, wishing she could just awaken and stomp Wayne to death, her disgust for him reaching its peak.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t stomp.
The seal of Pride remained, preventing Hexuno from fully awakening, so she could only subtly influence Mona with snippets of her haughty memories, aiming to complete their full integration.
This process was slow, so slow that it was hard to tell whose memories would dominate after awakening.
Hexuno, unwilling to be restrained, repeatedly influenced Mona, but was repeatedly pushed back by the turbid visions, grinding her teeth and stomping her foot, resulting in today’s proceedings.
She planned to utilize the Lord of Envy’s Seven Deadly Sins Melody to fight fire with fire, completely shatter Hell’s curse, fully awaken herself, and erase Mona’s memories and their terrible master-servant pact.
Then she would stomp Wayne.
The terrible daily routines continued, and Hexuno could no longer tolerate it. Knowing well the risks of releasing the Lord of Envy, she still couldn’t help but choose to borrow the Devil’s power.
Her situation was incredibly complicated. The Lord of Envy was unaware, only knowing that an Archangel was playing with fire, choosing to collaborate with the Devil for personal gains.
This was a path to damnation!
The Lord of Envy laughed at Hexuno’s wild fantasies, accepting this opportunity to lead an Archangel to damnation as a grand gesture.
"Hahaha————"
The Lord of Envy’s fighting spirit surged to its peak at this moment, his laughter genuine and unhidden, as he successively summoned thoughts from Hell, allowing his earthly powers to be sufficient to crush old friends of Heaven.
The Mortal World had no territory of the Lord of Envy, nor a body to house his thoughts, making his actions incredibly reckless and senseless. If his thoughts were harmed in the Mortal World, Hell’s powers would also suffer greatly.
But compared to tempting an Archangel to fall, even if there was only a one in ten thousand chance, the sacrifice was worth it.
As long as he succeeded, the jokes of Heaven would spread through Hell, and his prestige would reach the pinnacle, entirely surpassing the Lord Pride.
With such stakes, why not gamble!
Hexuno’s strength was severely discounted, far from her peak level, and besides a harmless little angel, there was only a human gazing upward in the field.
Foolishly, clearly not too bright.
He would win!
Driven by battle intent, the Lord of Envy swung the Black Greatsword at Mona, black light flashing instantly, extending infinitely to the edge of the Barrier, tearing open the Gates of Heaven with ease and shrouding the Mortal World in Darkness.
Should the Lord of Envy wish, he could take this chance to invade the Mortal World, but he did not do so, instead pressing Mona with his sword and insulting her from a superior stance.
It was not for lack of ambition to conquer the world, but rather the present Archangel had more value for the effort.
"Hexuno, where has your Divine Power gone?"
"You desire oppression, you want a stepping stone, I’ve indulged you. Where is your power, why haven’t you awoken?"
"What’s wrong, have you lost your memory, forgotten what you’re called?"
The Lord of Envy freely vented his powers, seeing the Archangel struggling embarrassingly and was gleefully more satisfied than if he’d been in charge of the Lord Pride.
Feeling as if he had reached the pinnacle of demonic joy, far happier than conquering the Mortal World.
Clang!
The Holy Spear blocked the pitch-black Demonic Sword, Mona’s arms trembling, Holy Light swirling around her, barely managing to expand a patch of brightness.
Deep inside, Hexuno’s memory told her not to reject these memories if she wanted to retrieve her true self and gain stronger power.
Mona didn’t want to accept these memories, knowing well that once influenced by them, her aversion to Wayne would grow. She would become cold and ruthless, not herself at all, let alone talk about self-identity.
Crack!
The Heaven Holy Spear cracked open, the Angel’s Golden Rule couldn’t withstand the Seven Deadly Sins Melody, facing complete defeat, cracks spreading wider until they covered the entire Heaven Holy Spear.
Threads of snake-like Darkness squeezed through the crack, driving back the light, coiling around Mona’s hands.
As soon as the Seven Deadly Sins Melody entered her body, Mona’s arms instantly showed purple-black veins, creeping slowly towards her shoulders, and even her sacred golden eyes began to mist with a trace of black fog.
Mona, in shock, chose to accept the ruthless memories, Hexuno’s name flashing through her mind, making her pause momentarily.
If she was the last Reincarnated Angel, then... who wasn’t?
Kel?
Meanwhile, as Hexuno joyfully obtained the Seven Deadly Sins Melody, realizing that fighting poison with poison indeed worked, the seal began to loosen, her awakening momentum growing...
Boom!!
A pale fist rapidly approached, in the blink of an eye, pressing hard against the Laughter ensconced face of the Lord of Envy.
The latter’s eyes slightly falling as he saw a sickly faceless figure clad in pale Armor, the next second, his neck elongated, his world spinning, his body thrown uncontrollably out.
"Mona, are you alright?"
Wayne, transformed into the Pale Knight, approached Mona, sensing the calm intellect of the Dark Goddess in his chest, and he sighed in relief.
Should he fully suppress the Dark Goddess or go all out against the Demon King? In the moment when Mona was corrupted by the Seven Deadly Sins Melody, he hesitated not and chose the latter.
The Dark Goddess, having just been frightened away, her thoughts retracted into a shell, unaware of the departing tendrils.
But this respite was temporary, leaving Wayne little time to go all out.
Hearing Wayne’s voice, Mona momentarily regained clarity, her eyes dispersing the coldness, beginning to reject the influence of the memory fragments.
