Chapter 813: Chapter 313 This is Much More Useful Than Magic_4
Sophia: (눈‸눈)
One moment a regime change, the next moment a scandalous rumor, to act on a whim purely based on personal preference, is this what being powerful means?
"Queen, won’t you speak?"
Wayne urged, "If you don’t say anything, I’ll take it all as truth."
"There was nothing tangled between Austin and me, just a past romance. Later we each had our own marriages. He, as a vassal, is utterly loyal, and I trust his loyalty completely," Sophia declared the gossip official dead.
There was nothing, just rumors.
"Then during your romance, how far did you two go?"
"..."
Sophia remained expressionless, unwilling to mention that part of the past.
Wayne internally deemed it dull and planned to break into Buckingham Palace again in a few days. He helped the queen, who was limp with weakness, and transported her back to the ruins of the office building.
The Grey Space had already been marked by Yuliya. Wayne intended to devour it completely as soon as possible. Times have changed; the Royal Family no longer needed a trump card, otherwise, the relationship between the Queen and the Regent King might get mishandled.
After the Death Knight supported the Queen, the four Legendary Mages returned: Ivette, Herman, Borne, and Bedford. Two on two, the struggle was tough to resolve. Seeing both Borne and Bedford battered and resealed, it seemed the outcome was a fair split.
Neither Borne nor Bedford died, Ivette and Herman were unharmed, so a draw wasn’t bad.
Borne and Bedford, controlled by the mysterious Frank, couldn’t exert much of their strength, and now were treated as defeated prisoners, sighing over the injustice of their fates.
After Frank’s death, the voices in their heads disappeared. Once their rationality returned, they raised their hands to surrender.
While they fully embraced the infamous label of traitors, it wasn’t without benefit. They perfectly avoided any chance of being washed clean, streaking ahead on the path of treacherous half-measures.
Ivette and Herman could only watch, helpless, as the Death Knight kidnapped the queen. They had tried their best against an overpowering enemy—there was nothing they could do.
Both felt deeply ashamed, having betrayed Sophia’s longstanding trust.
"Ivette, Herman, you did well. You contributed to crushing Douglas’s plot tonight," Sophia spoke with the poise of a Queen, composedly.
Her calm words hid no bitterness of being threatened, yet the harsh reality informed Ivette and Herman that only Douglas’s plot was crushed; the Lando Family’s conspiracy had already succeeded.
Ivette darted a silent glance at Sophia, questioning if they should struggle.
Sophia had lost too much blood and was very weak, barely standing in the Death Knight’s arms. Her body couldn’t endure much more; by now, she had resigned to her fate.
At that moment, Austin approached quickly, seeing the unconscious members of the Royal Family and the Queen supported by the Death Knight, he was momentarily stunned.
Austin: How did you get back so soon?
Wayne: Opened a portal.
Finding no words, Austin dismissed the issue with the trash can and stepped forward, bowing: "Your Majesty, under your orders, the traitors have all been slain. It is getting late; please rest well. We can discuss matters tomorrow."
Are you ordering me?
The shift in status made Sophia hear something else in Austin’s words. She sighed slightly and staggered away from the Death Knight, "Austin, come help me. I have words to speak with you alone."

Philomena was also peeping, trying to find similarities between the skeletal Death Knight and Wayne.
Austin nodded, moving forward to support the Queen’s arm, and at her behest, they walked away from the onlookers, conversing beneath the streetlights.
"The Death Knight has made clear the four Churches’ demands. From now on, you’ll assist me in ruling Windsor. I am still the Queen, but some things will require your approval."
"..."
Austin’s mouth twitched slightly, not counter-arguing, but frowning, he said, "I don’t understand state affairs, I can offer advice but won’t impose it, your rule remains as effective as before."
"You really know how to comfort someone, how could it possibly be the same as before..."
Sophia glanced at Austin, "You love your wife very much, right?"
"That’s right."
"Then the country’s future should also belong to a queen. Elizabeth’s situation is somewhat complicated; perhaps the future will incorporate the bloodline of the Lando Family."
The Lando Family bloodline?
Princess?
Does Veronica have this capability?
The image of the trash can sprang to Austin’s mind as he explained, "Your Majesty, you know me, Wayne isn’t my son."
"Austin, do you think I’ll believe that now?"
"..."
That can be believed.
